I don't wanna bring bad news, but I expect a significant drop of ASICMINER-PT in 48 hours. Hopefully we will not see 2.8.

You didn't bring any bad news, no news at all in fact, just FUD. Enjoy.

And we have a fall in progress as I said.. :/
Hardly a "significant drop" as you said. Huh

Reminder / Update

ThickAsThieves, VJain, Franktank and myself have put together the next round of questions for the community to vote on.

Once we have a consensus of the top three questions, ThickAsThieves will submit them to Friedcat.

The last round was a big success, so we will continue doing this for the foreseeable future.

The questions are available for voting here:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1M7wigyDWjKjabHKdC7msaEfXvYaNxtMbbmTIRss8EqU/viewform

Here are the results so far (215 votes):

1) What are the plans regarding the Official ASICMINER Exchange? Have they been dropped? - 2.89
2) Does ASICMINER/Bitfountain intend to create and official website and/or blog outside of the bitcointalk forums? - 2.95
3) Do you have plans for a retail website? - 3.2
4) Does ASICMINER have plans to develop a marketing campaign to extend beyond word of mouth and business on the bitcointalk.org? - 2.88
5) Earlier this year, you committed to a minimum of 10% of the network hashing being represented by ASICMINER, can you update us to the current goals for network % and for total hashpower in 2013 and beyond? - 4.08
6) When can we expect the first financial report? - 3.68
7) Originally, board members were going to receive a test unit of an ASIC mining device. Will you provide this or any other tangible items to board members in the future? - 2.01
8 ) Could we have an official live hashrate meter from ASICMINER? - 3.17
9) For more transparency, is it possible to share a wallet address for depositing income from ASICMINER hardware sales? - 2.99
10) Besides mining, hardware sales, and fees, are there any other potential sources of revenue? - 2.34
(Note: This question was added significantly later in the voting process, therefore, about half of the votes are weighed as "1" due to the fact that half of the voters did not have the opportunity to vote on it.)

Please note: Voting has NOT closed! You can (and should) still vote! We'll keep the voting open for another 24-48 hours, and then we will compile results and submit the questions.

Anyone anticipating a price correction on ASICMINER today with speculators snacking up AMC shares like hotcakes on BitFunder and BTC-TC? I have to admit I moved a bit that way, I don't want to miss out the next chance to get in early on something potentially big. Might be a nice day to sell some G-ASICMINER PUT's on BitFunder with their more flexible expiration timetable. Discuss?

The thing is that there is not much space for grow. And this price seems to me like 2 months earlier than it should be if we would have no competition.

I think we're going for a (small) correction now!

With a stable hashrate and USBs selling like hot cakes ? There Might be close to the biggest divident yet this week if we dont have problem with hashrate dropping for one whole day again. And there is still the announcement of blades change in the air. BFL seems to not be shipping that much either anymore. Only negative news right now is avalon seems to be finishing their batch shipping but that should not affect it that much

You might have made a profit reselling your shares to a bigger idiot, but no one has come close to reaching a break-even point on their investments, even the IPO buyers.

Wrong!

Share price at IPO 0.1 BTC

Dividends per share paid so far: 0.33 BTC

So 330% Return No selling of unit
Uses havelock at 0.034 x 100 = 3.4 BTC A share - 0.1
3300% + 330%
== $$$ 3630% (Can't even say APR yet hasn't even been a year lol)
If sold Today
Jealous of those IPO buyers

Even so, 22.7 MH/BTC makes CPU mining seem viable in comparison.
except that you ignore hardware sales...

go mine, go ahead, the rest of us buy AM shares and have been making money at it.  We don't mind if you want to compete with a monster mining entity like AM, that's fine with us!

The IPO was 0.1BTC/each, and I've gotten about 0.35BTC per share.

That's a ridiculous statement. You could say the same thing about someone that bought in at the IPO of Microsoft, since their dividends have still not yet covered the original $21 share price (even considering splits).

there some decent sell orders around 3.5, but I think we'll get through that this week.  FC may gives us some news this week, and then look for a boost when blades go up for sale.
