That's like saying that because the Euro is more widely used that they should use that too, is it not? Look how far that got in Iceland.
I'm not Icelandic, but if someone asked me if I wanted to use someone else's currency, or my own currency, I would choose my own. Something developed and marketed specifically for me and my country, for use in my country. AUR development doesn't need to be on par with anything except AUR. We don't need to compete with anything... we just need to make AUR a closed-loop currency that people will want to use in Iceland. We can't code adoption. We can develop it for everyday use, but ultimately it will be up to PR to push adoption. Between the AUR Foundation and the Bitcoin Foundation, who do you think is going to be focusing more money and time on advertising in Iceland?
As far as our question goes, we were mostly asking about a OSX compile. I'm sure you can find plenty of other coins that have done the same. I can probably randomly click on any coin in the altcoin section, and they will all have some kind of request for help for something similar. So I'm sorry, but I don't see his point.
Frankly, the talk of the market cap and trading is getting old. If all people are worried about is trading AUR, then go trade AUR and let things happen here as they will.
