The primary target for the foundation and the dev team is to slowly but steady build the base for Auroracoin. For now this means we have to work on the technical aspects of the blockchain and to build tools for easy integration in the every day lives of the Icelandic people. This includes wallets for any device (including IOS, android and Windows) but also tools that enable merchants to effortlessly integrate AUR in their stores and websites that are focused on the people and the usage, not the technical or political aspects.
Once we accomplish that we can start to work on awareness with the Icelandic people and their merchants. If in this process we can get any political party to endorse our goals that would obviously be a great step, but not something we are actively going to pursue. I personally believe we can expect this to happen, once we reach critical mass. That can be sooner than you think (as long as you don't think it will be this year

The day icelandic gouvernement start worrying about AUR will be a great day. Any gouvernement worrying about blackcoin, potcoin or Zizicoin ? Governement worry about bitcoin because it reached a lot of people, is used and is growing fast. So when icelandic politics start talking about AUR, it would have been already a huge success - and i guess that marketcap would be on a complete different order. We have to consider that we need a multi-million marketcap to take care of 1% of icelandic trades.

I agree. Crypto is aubout decentralization and "power to the people". Government is about centralization.

BTW, I lost few thousands AUR on mintpal exchange. Just read news that some people started sending back alt funds ie DarkCoin, Karma, Monero.

We contacted mintpal but unfortunately the funds from mintpal V1 had been transferred to mintpal V2. I was on the Fluttercoin team that sent back funds and we did that by getting the funds and DB from previous mintpal owners (V1).

This has never been talked about within the foundation. As a member of the foundation i am asking you to please change your profile name because of confusion it can bring. All members of foundation and dev team as well as official pr person for Auroracoin are stated in the OP.

I believe that the ideology behind the Pirate Party goes hand in hand with cryptocurrency.

It matter to me. And for a lot of people. Trading a coin is something, but working toward a positive goal is something too. Both are not contradictory imo - and even if it's true that traders can profit from a bad coin, this is much safer and positive to trade a coin with such a great purpose !
