I'm in acceptance.

I'm over the anger phase and now in the rejection/depression phase.

I'm in the capitulation phase.

BFL isn't a year late, yet anyway.  They took orders starting in June, but said they wouldn't ship until October?  Something like that. 

The delays are getting unbearable. I don't understand why some try to explain away how it shouldn't be a big deal.

The original ship date for batch #2 was the beginning of March so they are now over 2 months late as of today. Luckily the increased exchange rate mitigates the loss from this delay for those that planned to sell the BTC. I spent BTC to mine more BTC and wasn't planning on selling any time soon but I also factored in a delay so I'm still on target to meet my expected ROI in BTC but any more delays will be cutting it close.

For me batch 1 shipped and then arrived mid-April;  at one point Avalon was scheduled for shipping Mid January....

So my batch 1 arrived after Batch 2 was supposed to start shipping...   just to put that into perspective;  perhaps the projections were a little aggressive on shipping dates?

Also, raid BFL and stole their box of fans. They are becoming real (i suppose that they already have a deal with asicminer, so i won't care about them).

That would messed up. Like delivering b3 before b2.

They are giving much time for Batch1 people to wipe the bitcoins, give batch2 people some time too, and b3, then deliver the chips. That would be fair. If they dump all in the same week, whats the point of having diff batches?

I hope so for your 75btc - batch 3 order.

As a Batch 3 92xx Order I am at the end of the avalon line - I just hope the machine arrives before the chips get delivered.

Okay that's it. I'll stop apologizing for them now        Be upset with them if you like, I suppose.

I have faith they are pretty reasonably close to shipping; hopefully I'm correct in this belief...

The only problem I have is the shipping dates. I would like a good explanation for the (minor) delays, When I ordered it stated April 5th shipping, then 15th April... It is 7th May and we have no update. I mean, they seemed pretty damn sure they would meet those dates.

If I would have known this it definitely would have affected my decision to hand over what is a lot of money for me at the time.

Apart from that, I still can't wait for that 'special' delivery!  

Batch 2 was supposed to ship from the 5th of march to the 5th of april. Then the 5th of april was moved to the 15th of april. Then they came out with their "new smt line" stuff and said that they would be online and ship "really fast" starting from the 15th of april, until the end of the month. The 15th of april they said to have started shipping, now they claim to have shipped 20 units (certainly not to the trade ins as they have yet to pay) and that since that some people of their team is sick, they are late, and that they received the smt line but that it could take until the second week of may (now) to put it online. No timeline was given about how fast they will ship after that their new smt line is working.

No update was given, and that's is a 2 months delay.

Also, after that they sold out batch 2, they claimed that the trade ins customers, that did not paid at the time, 1) where not part of the 600 units limit (they probably have 1000s of trade in units) 2) they would ship before the regular customers, cause "we are not special".

Batch 2 customers paid at the firsts of February because they needed to buy resistors & capacitors "to be able to ship on time". I'm quite sure that they have the resistors and capacitors, and that they could have shipped on time too, if they wanted.

Uh what, no. How do you figure?

BFL is about a year late? let's say 10 months, at least.

Batch 2 was supposed to ship April 15th.  It's not even May 15th yet.

They are way way more than 1/10th as late as bfl...

I don't think any hate-on's for Avalon are warranted. They are a bit late. No big deal. They are providing a rare and professional product anyways, that is on spec. There isn't any evidence they are partying it up with lovely Chinese prostitutes or running away to Spain or anything.

I think every Avalon pre-order person should cut them a bit of slack. At least refrain from getting too upset until they are at least * 1 / 10th * as late as BFL. After they are over one tenth as late as BFL then you can have a bit of license to complain.

I'm as anxious as you guys (I'm in batch 3) but can wait a bit longer...

It's hard to troll something you know is legitimate. I'll try anyway though:

Edit: despite not being able to "troll", it doesn't mean we can't remain critical. When someone says they'll ship in May and then don't, you should be able to legally demand a refund (despite any online agreement, as state legislation supersedes all) in most cases as long as they're late up to a certain point. I'm fine with hanging out another 2 weeks and seeing what happens though.

an update on trade-in and batch #2 and batch #3 shipping is requested as its now past May 5th shipping / production for Batch #3.

Or simply all tired to complain... And just waiting...
