Hi! it seems that AM is displaying crazy numbers for zpool and SHA-3:

https://i.imgur.com/1hF33IQ.png

This can't be right!  Shocked

I am seeing the same thing. It normally says anything from $2-$8 a day, however, now it's saying $1,262. I tried restarting the miner but it just says the same thing. It's mining on Zpool. Any ideas?

1) You can still force the profit miner to mine a specific unlisted coin. In Options dialog, Coins&Profit section, you can add a user defined coin where you also can specify high profit value for it. Then add a pool using this coin and then add the pool as a "Custom pool" to the profit switcher (Profit switching section of the Options dialog). When the profit switcher looks at what is most profitable, your user defined coin will be number one.

2) If you only have Managed Miners (not profit switching), please use the concept of Managed Template to fast change between different configurations. This can be used instead of defining two Managed Miners for a single computer. See:
http://www.awesomeminer.com/help/managedtemplate.aspx

1) I understand the concept of the changing the coin in the profit section, the problem with setting a coin to an artificially high value to force it to the top is that now the estimated earning values are off. From a convenience stand point, i dont have a "rough estimate" on how much i'm making. If i leave an accurate value for the coin settings, i would have to turn off all other profit switching options and leave only custom pool. Which leads us to the second problem: there's only one place to set custom pool for profit switching, and it applies to ALL profit miners. What if i want only a certain set of rigs to mine one coin, and the rest on regular zpool/mph/hashrefinery settings. Hence the need to have one profit miner and one managed miner for each rig.

To take that scenario even further, I am soon going to have certain rigs that need 4 miners configured because i have both amd and nvidia cards in them, 1 nvidia managed, 1 amd managed, 1 nvidia profit and 1 amd profit. 4 licenses used on one rig Sad

2) I appreciate the managed templates, they help alot, but now I've got an ever growing list of templates, because I need to have a seperate template for each different combination of video card, coin and in some cases, pool. I think something that would help tremondously with this had been brought up as a feature request before, the ability to mass apply only certain settings to all the selected miners, instead of an entire template. I eagerly await that feature Smiley

Do you mind if i ask why licenses are tied to number of miners configured, instead of to the managed hosts themselves?

I am having trouble setting up Awesome Miner to mine Electroneum as a worker for Nanopool.  There is a syntax to follow that includes the wallet, worker name, and email address, but when I do it, Nanopool never shows my worker for the wallet ID.  When I put in walletID/[MinerWorker]/user@email, it mines but doesn't show results on the pool, or at least none that I find.  I'm hoping someone out there has gotten this to work and can share the miner and pool config in a way that makes sense.

As it happens I just got this one working today. Here are the pool and miner.

Anyone know how to insert the actual images into my message?

You can't because you are a "newbie" on Bitcointalk... but I think my quoting you will display it... let's see...

This is definitely a start, but how do you get an email address into the configuration so you can set the minimum payout at Nanopool?

Just put /emailaddress after the worker name.

Benchmarking cryptonight on AMD still points to nicehash stratums, therefore not usable, is there any way to change the default benchmarking pool?

Hi, I have 2 managed profit miners configured and DSTM Zcash CUDA Miner it's not taking the worker name on miningpoolhub when you use override pool settings, i want to have different worker names but they always mining with the deafult working name that you define in options>profit switching.
I've tried putting the --user XXX.XXX in command line with no luck. EWBF have the same problem, is anyone having the same problem?

I've never tried to use the override pool setting options, but why would you want two different worker names?  It makes more sense to have the same worker name and two different rig names.  So if your worker name in miningpoolhub is "puwaha", and the profit miner names are "rig1" and "rig2", then AM will combine them to make "puwaha.rig1", and "puwaha.rig2".  They will then show up in the same dashboard in miningpoolhub.

I need to mine to different addresses that is why i need two separate worker names, everything is working fine on zpool and hashrefinery but with miningpoolhub workers names are not working with EWBF and DSTM miners.

OK I seem to have got to grips with templates, very useful, cuts down the number of miners I am using. But am I correct in thinking that I still need to have 2 miners defined for each rig if I want to have the option of using profit switching also?

I think most people have 2 miners for each rig - managed miner and profit switcher.  It's a pain that it uses up 2 licenses even though you can only run one at a time.  But it is what it is.

One thing to be careful of however is that you must stop one before starting the other as it currently doesn't do it automatically.  If you forget, it tries to run both at the same time.  Also, be aware that if you have both set to autostart then both will try to run when you fire up the software.

Yes, because they are two different variants of "miners".  It helps to think of AM as taking objects such as pools, templates, software, hosts, and miners into "rigs that do what I want".  In this case Patrike has the license based on the number of "miners" you deploy.  A managed miner and a profit miner do two completely different things.

Hey Patrike

I'm trying to customize your software to display my portfolio / stats in one place via the Balance section of this software.
The builtin block explorer works for the coins loaded on that site.
Also, I've read the help section
http://www.awesomeminer.com/help/coinbalance.aspx

Now I'm trying to put the balance in for
Bitcoinz, ZenCash, Hush, CVC, PIVX

I've googled some block explorer sites for these coins... but I want to add them to the Balance section.

I mean I have found specific websites for these coins that detail their working block explorers.

I was hoping for some guidance on how to setup the Balance section for these coins. (its not a matter and cut/paste the URL, heh, I've tried)

How are any of you programming the Balance section to display the wallet totals of the coins that you are mining?

Its a handy feature to have in this software and the stock/default (BTC/LTC) features/explorers work fine. I'm just looking how direction as to how to program more than the available BTC/LTC coins

Thanks

There seems to be a bug in the 'Frequently Asked Questions' section of your website help pages.

If I expand the line - 'How can I switch between different configurations for Managed Miners?' and follow the link there it takes me to a page about Dual mining with Claymore.

It should go to the section on defining managed templates. Unfortunately the page which talks about managed templates says nothing at all about how to define one, only that it is identical to defining a managed miner. It surely cannot be quite identical because the miner name needs to be different for each rig which uses the template. This should be easy enough but the 'Add to worker name' tick box is greyed out on a template I am trying to make for Claymore on Ethereum. Why is this one greyed out but others are not?

I'm certainly no expert but I use and love managed templates a lot.  The reason you can't add to worker name in a template is so that it can be applied to multiple managed miners.  The managed miner will have the add to worker set.  When a template is applied, a lot can change but the add to worker stays the same which is important if you want to keep the same names for your rigs irrespective of what and where they are mining.

Using a remote miner, AM says the interface is offline but the miner is running and the remote port is working.  Using Claymore CryptoNight.  It sometimes works but sometimes not.  I have another remote rig where it's working all the time.
In these scenarios it's often a good idea to try the API Report button in the toolbar, to see what the output is, or if the connection is simply being blocked. The Awesome Miner log file may also indicate if there is a timeout in the API request.
How did you verify that the report port was actually working here?

Just opened the port in Chrome, got the output from Claymore.

Anyone know if Awesome Miner can interact with rigs that are running on Simple Mining OS?

I really love Awesome Miner, but i am coming to ends with Windows itself. I have been having lots of pains with the recent changes of Windows and rigs that were super stable previously have been having random issues with the recent updates, but if i stick a thumb drive with simple mining os on the exact same rig, it becomes stable again and im no longer chasing a fan issue i have been having with my windows rigs recently. I really prefer Awesome miner due to how easy it is to use along with my ability to use it for profit switching, but im having random gpu's running away with temps and the windows miner not stopping the gpu from mining to protect it....

Not sure if im the only one having this issue, but i have been having issues with the GPU's unable to properly throttle itself with set max temp settings and adjust fan speeds via default values. Its like windows is lagging to make the communication or the drivers with the devices is having conflicts, but it started occuring with the most recent forced windows major update.

The past 3-4 weeks i have had a handful of GPU's get stuck so the fan % is locked at lets say 40% fan speed, but the temps of the GPU slowly kept climbing without the fan speed ever changing. Then i get notifications that my GPU is running hot and i have to literally fully power off the rig to gain control back of the GPU.

Example, today 1 of my 1080ti's was stuck at 27% fan speed that it dropped down to during the night period due to ambient temps in my garage in the 40's F, but during the day the temps got back up to the 70's and the GPU was running at 94C when i got home to fix it with the fan speed still stuck at 27%.
Even if Awesome Miner only runs on Windows, it can still connect to and monitor mining software running on Linux if the mining software (Claymore, EWBF, ...) is running with API enabled.

The plan for the future is to support running Remote Agent on Linux as well.

Well let me know if you come up with some sort of demo remote agent for linux, because i am going to test things out to see if i can get it to monitor the test rig mining on linux on Awesome Miner, The part i prefer of Awesome Miner over others like Simple Mining OS is the ability to profit switch. I currently have my rigs setup on a handful of coins to jump around with and autoconvert to BTC via Bittrex conversion feature and ever since i started doing the profit switching i have managed to nearly double the profits of my single test rig i use for comparison mining zcash 100% of the time.

Example this week i noticed Trezar Coin was skyrocketing in price, so i added it to my list of coins to jump around on, sending the coins to cryptopia and using my Gunbot panic sell mode to autosell into BTC for me, I managed to average around $12/per 1080ti this week mining that coin mostly all week long, it dipped low a lot, which i spend on Vertcoin... but for the past 7 days i averaged $12.68/per 1080ti after all exchanging.

I am just worried about the random GPU's running away on me on temps
