Hi guys just joined the forum am new to mining in general.
I installed Awesome Miner and have an nvidia GPU.
I'm using the Profit Miner and is there any one particular algo that I should use over others?
Should I have just one algo checked or leave it all on default?
I want to get the max out of my system.

Im running this on a rig with an r9 280 and an rx 480 linked to mining pool hub. For some reason claymore cryptonote, zcash and sgminer all wont work. Sg miner loads up and just sits there with no hashrate, zcash and cryptonote just restart over and over again.
I use these miners fine on the same system with MultipoolMiner. Does anyone know why this would be happening?
I can use claymore dual no problem with awesome miner.
I dont like how multipoolminer use eminer, it doesnt work correctly with my 280.

Recently I came across some other threads and learned that the Alexis build of ccminer has a much higher hash rate for me on neoscrypt (860 vs 1160 KH/s), so naturally I would like to add Alexis in as the miner for neo. For whatever reason I can't get the Alexis 1.0 that comes stock with awesome miner to initialize properly, it looks like it doesnt detect my 1070.
As a result I downloaded Alexis 78 and have had success if I create a new miner only mining neo with a new profile. What I havent been able to do is update the nvidia profile to select alexis 78 for neoscrypt. Ok, sorry guys I seem to have fixed my own problem. When I added the alexis 78 file, I added "neoscrypt" in the command line parameter which was breaking this. I deleted that field and now it works perfectly!
Maybe someone else learns from my dumb mistake.

I just started using Awesome Miner last night with Mining Pool Hub. So far everything is working correct. I have 3 1070s and 1x 1070ti. I woke up this morning to find it decided the Skein was the most profitable coin to mine after bouncing around last night to different coins making way more per day. It wont work on anything else and is saying I am earning $7.65/day. I know that other coins are more profitable right now. Why is it going right after Skein?
I tried updating my workers on Mining Pool Hub to exclude Skein but it still goes after it. Is there a way to block that algo from running in Awesome Miner while connected to Mining Pool Hub?

Are you using a profit miner or a managed miner? What is your switching interval set to?

This is usually due to some configuration error in either the pool or the managed or profit miner. Check all the settings and make sure you didn't miss anything. You can also right-click a miner and have it run diagnostics... it will usually give you a clue as to what was configured wrong.

Hi guys! I have a bunch of iBeLink DM11G with Awesome Miner to control them. When I change the pool via the Awesome Miner software, it works, but until any miner reboot. After rebooting I see the same pool configuration as before any change implemented. Looks like the Awesome miner does not save the new pool configuration.
When I change the pool configuration in the web interface of the miner itself, I have to press "Save configuration" button to really save the new config. Patrick, could you resolve it?

This is normal. On ASICs the pools in your web interface are what the ASIC will boot up with.

Patrike, is there any way to change miner type from Managed Miner to Managed Profit Miner and back? Some tips?
It would be extremely helpful.
That is not unfortunately not possible. For a Managed Miner you can use template to switch between different configurations in an efficent way, but the Managed Profit Miners are a bit too different for this concept to work.It would be extremely helpful.
On this thought Patrike... Could you setup some triggers and actions to allow us to define our own profit switching algorithms? For instance, like was mentioned before, we could have triggers that deal with the Whattomine or Online Services prices, or percentages, or network hashrates, etc, and then we could have action like switching to a numbered or referenced template.
I think it would be a killer feature.

No youre reading it correct but, I was considering it under single-pool scenario. What I am observing is, sometimes, marginal gain values are not quite correct in terms of gaining the actual profit. Therefore, It would be good to eliminate such marginal levels and stick to average monthly values for the given rig, depending on former performance of it.
Thats why I ask for such a rule feature. If it detects overrated-underrated profit, I expect it to switch to the next good coin in the list, of course, after 30min or what ever adjusted.

I see what you mean. I have asked for a way to calculate longer averages than just 24 hours as well. It would take a bit of programming on Patrike's part. There would have to be a data base to take snapshots at regular intervals, and do the averages from those.

1. No. MPH will automagically create the workers.
2. I've disabled Siacoin as it was trying to dual mine Eth/Sia and Sia has an exchange problem currently. I haven't been able to get Eth/Decred to run, (though I haven't really tried).
3. Profit Switching only switches algorithms, it's up to MPH (or whatever pool is being used) to decide on the coin. As to why, AM is choosing lyra2RE2 over Neoscrypt, check "Online Services" and select the pool you are using. That will show in order, the most to least profitable algos.

I've noticed that if I make changes to the profit profile I have to remove and recreate my miner in order for the changes to take affect.
I don't have this issue. Changes I make to profit profile take affect immediately I stop and start miners. (Not "restart")

Hey guys... Need some advice.
So I have 2 1070 mining and once in a while it stop mining by itself... not sure how to prevent this.

SO at 5:10:07 it stopped working... as from what I understood because of it fails to connect to nicehash, but I have it disabled on the settings... I have wallet entered there, but no check mark.

SO at 5:10:07 it stopped working... as from what I understood because of it fails to connect to nicehash, but I have it disabled on the settings... I have wallet entered there, but no check mark.

AM displays the profit of KRB @ 4.8 kH/s at $10 per day but WhatToMine shows $18.30. That's a large variation. XMR is much closer, less than a dollar's difference.
