This is the real meaning :

Hi! Dear customer:

Today we checked the profitability of our miners and as we can see, Qubit is very profitable and we decided to keep your machines working, we will send it to you if the profitability goes down.

Anyone have a lead on what the future algorithms might be?

Baikal Giant X10 Algorithms: X11 / Quark / Qubit (for now)
Baikal miner Giant+ Algorithms:X11 / X13 / X14 / X15 / Quark / Qubit

So "soon later 4 new algorithms can be added by updating" - i bet three of the four would be X13 / X14 / X15, and the last one... I hope it would be Blake (2b) - since ASIC is already in development by the Sia dev team

I was looking at the Blake algorithm too and there's apparently several versions. Nicehash supports Blake256r8, Blake256r14, Blake256r8VNL, and Blake2s (could this be the 4 algorithms?).

Does anyone know how similar or different those versions of the Blake algorithm are? Link to explainer on Blake would be appreciated.

I asked Baikal about the recommended power supply and here is their response. "1200watt is recommended.
Need 6 standard 12v 6pin connectors"

So that means that they took into consideration the future algos for the baikal.

I don't think they are out in the wild yet. All indications are that the images on their website aren't even the final production version yet. Mainly due to the number of pcie connectors in the photos.

Would really like to know some stats in real world use.  Does anyone have one of these yet from a presale (i.e. insider) that can post info on noise, actual hash rate, etc?

Why the Giant picture shows only three 6 pin connectors?

So back to my original question. What are you guys planning on using to power these things?

Your question can't be answered fully this time.
As far as I've seen in specs the miner consumes 850 watts for the X11 algo so any PSU with 1000 watts and six PCI-e 6 pin connectors will do.
The real problem will be when the other algos come.If for them the miner will consume more than 900 watts then you'll have to buy a PSU with 1100-1200 watts.

You understand?

Understood. Was looking into these as well : http://www.parallelminer.com/product/platinum-94-1500-watt-power-supply-kit-for-antminer-d3-dash-110v120v/?wpam_id=27

I received the shipping confirmation email as well!  Has anyone confirmed a recommended power supply for these units? I have been using EVGA for my mining rigs and thinking about trying our some of these server type power supplies for these.
me too, how does he know that power supply is included?
