Its really that hard to ignore your friend specially when they are really that on a tough situation on which you do know that you do have the money that you do have and this is why it would really be just that hard to resist or having that kind of rejection. It would really be just that good if it would happen to be once or twice or thrice but on the moment that it is really that becoming that often then this is where issues would really be starting to build up. It isnt really just that putting up a strain on friendship but also possibly could really be ending up on a friendship if things gets worst and this is something that i do really avoid as much as i could.
We do know that when it comes to money talk specially on borrowing or taking up some loan or something correlated to it then we do know that this could really be able to mold up that kind of tension on which it will really be basing up into the words that would come out into your mouth. It will really be determining out whether you are really that have that potential kind of discussions and possible heated up interrogations or something then this is where trouble would possibly start. This is why whenever someone approach me specially on my friend then i would help him as best as i could but of course there would really be those limitations in regarding into this one.

In that scenario, maybe it wouldn't be a problem because he had been helped in the past by his friend so when his friend asked for help, he was happy to help him by lending money. Regardless of whether his friend will return the loan or not, I think it depends on the intention of the person who lent it, if he thinks that it is an act of gratitude for the help that has been given by his friend, then even if his friend does not repay the loan, maybe it won't be too much of a problem, but it still depends on whether you are sincere or not.

Basically, there are two things that can destroy a male friendship, namely money and women, meaning that when you know that both of these things can trigger damage to a friendship, then there are two things you can choose, namely between letting it go or not helping him at all, with the note that you don't want to experience any problems in your friendship.

If your friend's gambling problem was as a result of his debts, then it is a good thing that clearing up his debts was able to help put an end to his addiction. If it is not, then it means he might have dealt with the root cause of his gambling addiction. There is nothing wrong in helping a friend, but when that friend is not creditworthy, it might strain the friendship, cause more harm to the friend if he used such money to gamble and even hurt the helper the more if the money given is what he cannot let go. For many addicted gamblers, all debts incurred are just to satisfy their gambling urge and greed.

Instead of feeling so much sympathy for an addicted friend who always comes around to beg for money, finding out the root cause of their problem will be a better help. It is when the root cause of their problem is known that you can actually know how to come in.

Not everyone can be held responsible, but your friend is responsible because he returns what you have borrowed, so if this is the case then maybe you are not worried regardless if your friend does not pay, you have good intentions because you have been helped in the past, so it does not matter.

Still, for me, I will not give loans to gamblers, this is a big risk, even if it is my close friend or even family, this is my principle not to lend it unless it is an urgent need other than gambling, I will give loans according to my ability.

With the current economic situation in my country, I won't loan money to anyone but would only support them with what I can afford to support them with cause out of experience, I've loaned money to several people outside the forum and it turned out bad, most them are good friends that's stopped communicating with me cause they can't afford paying back, so the advice I could give to my country men in this forum is to support people with what you can afford to give instead of giving out loans to avoid issues on the long run, our economy is getting very bad and most of them wouldn't use the money wisely and end up having difficulties paying back. Gambling is getting very Rampart and lots of who are not opportuned to meet ends needs are currently seeing it as a means of earning for survival that's why you'll hear stories of people taking loans to gamble which is very wrong, though most of them get lucky and win huge money but it's highly risky such risk ain't calculated and could land one in more trouble even while they're looking for solutions

The way situation is now difficult for people, I have made up my mind that no matter how hard it's for me, I will only give money to people if I have the power, I will not give loan to anyone because that has dissolved alot of friendship because of money. You will be own your own thinking how to progress in life and then somebody will come to you for help, you will inconvenience yourself and give then but when it's time to pay back, they act up like they owe you nothing.

If the money you are lending to.someone will be used for gambling, don't borrow them. Most often and 100% of the time, such money goes into casino pocket and because they couldn't create value with it when they needed it, they tend to lose interest in paying back such amount of money and to avoid such problems in the near future, kindly avoid giving and loaning such people money because they wouldn't pay back.

I am also worried that the money I lent him will be used to gamble again. but he is still my friend. he once helped me with a certain problem. and fortunately, my worries did not come true.
if he did not return it to me because it was used up because of gambling. As I imagined, I do not regret lending him. again it is not a large amount and I appreciate my friendship with him. and fortunately my friend also reciprocated my trust in him.

We do not know the situation of each person who is addicted to gambling. I just want to share a story experienced by my friend who finally got better from a gambling addiction that made his finances very bad.
You are right, it is not advisable to gamble with borrowed money. the risk can be many times greater. losing with our own money is sometimes frustrating, let alone with other people's money. no wonder some gamblers are willing to end their lives because they are in debt.

I have never bought the idea of people gambling with loans mostly those borrowed from family or close friends. In reality, one would only become less fortunate with future demands from such individuals who have trusted and lent the money.
I even think such monies would not reap a profitable outcome if used for gambling purposes solely, because karma is real and because it is free money that wasn't sweated for.

Giving loans to help other people and our near and dear ones is always appreciated and no one is suggesting to do against it. If you have money with you and you can help people then why not give them loan if they need to meet their expenses and  needs and get good wishes and prayers in return.

What we are discouraging that people asking for loans because they want to full fill their gambling wish and this is truly not recommended to gamble with loan money. We should not ask loan for gambling and also if someone asks for the loan and we know that he is asking to do gambling then we should reject it simply or say sorry to him politely.

I think that gambling using other people's money or funds with a loan scenario is the best idea to multiply the risk where there are two bad possibilities where you will experience significant pressure that you will feel when you do not have the ability to pay the amount of the loan and the second you also experience the pain of the defeat you experienced, and in most cases usually this scenario makes gamblers stressed and trapped in debt problems where they usually take back loans from other people to pay off debts to previous people and over time usually the amount of debt is getting bigger.

In the end, in most cases when a gambler is already experiencing problems with debt, various possibilities that are much worse are very likely to happen, not infrequently I find those who are desperate to justify any means to get money to fulfill their desire to gamble and also to fulfill their obligations to pay debts such as stealing, robbing or cheating, and the last one that is worse is not infrequently I also find those who end up committing suicide because they can no longer stand all the problems they experience.

This is a fact that does occur which is also a reason why we should not be too obsessed with winning and this is also a reason why many people advise not to be excessive in treating gambling, because when you are addicted, various significant risks will be closer to you.

Yes, we should only borrow money in extreme situations as you mentioned, where we do not have other choices but to get help from our near and dear ones to meet our urgent needs. Getting a loan for gambling does not come in this category as there is no urgency in gambling.


Well, people have wrong expectations from gambling. They think that they will get loan and gamble with it and make many X more money and then return the loan and become rich. Their dream becomes shattered when they lose that loan money in gambling and now they do not have the money to pay back the loan and do not have any source which can generate income and get them out of this tense situation. This will lead to make them take more loans from other people and retuning loans and this cycle never stops. 

My friend who is also a gambler also does that borrowing money for various reasons. I know he spends money from his job to get married so he has to borrow money to give to his wife. I still gave it to him because I saw that he had a small child. I told him that he could pay it back gradually. and suggested that he stop betting for a while and collect the money from his job for living expenses and to pay off debts.

What surprised me, the advice I gave him really did it. To be honest, I wasn't sure at first, but that's what he did. although he didn't stop completely, now he bets less so he can pay back the money he borrowed gradually. maybe after having financial problems, he realized to be wiser in making bets.

I have never borrowed money to play, so I don’t see much need for it. In my opinion, you need to borrow if someone in your family is sick and needs an expensive operation, or for housing if it is no longer possible to live in your current house or it needs urgent repairs. For me, this is an extreme case, but at the same time, I understand how huge the craving and addiction can be. I have seen several players who are ready to tell anything just to be given money on loan. It is terrible to hear when they lie to your face, but then go and lose the entire amount on the same day. Among the players, there are also women, who are usually trusted in society more than men when lending money. So, I know one woman who told tall tales about poor health, and almost anyone would lend her money, but when the truth was revealed, she was very, very ashamed.

That is the risks that we will get if we lose other people's money while we can not repay them back. They will reports us to police and asks them to catch us because they want their money back.
We can run but that will not happens forever because someday they can catch us and makes us in the jail. If you don't want to have the same experience like them, you don't have to use other people's money especially to playing gambling because the risks will be too big.
We should take a safe way if we want to playing gambling and only use our money and if that is our money, we don't have to gives back the money to other people but we still need to be responsible to ourselves. We must avoids playing gambling using other people's money to stay away from the problem.

I remember a cousin of mine who got into trouble because he managed to confuse some numbers of people to contribute some money for trading purposes and it was going well, those people are taking some commissions and this makes them to even gather more people and the total amount increased, but one day a big trade took place and they lost the money, this made my cousin to run from a city to another, he later was called in for questioning in a police station, and finally he was forced to return the whole amount little by little.

He is someone I cared about so much, I ended up helping him out, it was a very bad time but I had no choice, today he is a free man and he learned his lessons, trading and gambling are high risk play, you are better off using your very own money, don't take from others.

Unfortunately, gambling with people's money is very risky, inappropriate and most of all an irresponsible act from someone.The earnings from gambling are possibly not fixed and that's obviously not a good signal.

Normally,making money from gambling might sound easy,but it's not as easy as it seems.It's generally illegal to risk someone else and risking more of yourself into a huge debts as that.
If you intend to make money, you should know that e can't make a living out of gambling and it's takes only a few people to make lots of money from gambling wisely.

Gambling with people's money is a top tier failure; you've failed as a person initially,it actually not a good feeling and it doesn't end well.

You are right but many a times hile anyone become addicted the person can't imagine which funds he has own and which he has not and one more important thing is that when the person become winner many people may think the person knows good way to make money and they may want to use the fund of those person to make money for them too.

On the moment that you would really be having that kind of shortage and if you've seen that there's money that you could make use on then this is something that your main consideration on making use of it
and would really be having those thoughts that you would really be that giving it back or would really be that paying it on the time that you are able to win up that gambling session but we do all know
on how gambling works and on how you would really be able to end up. If you would really be having this kind of approach on things then it would really becoming that a disaster.

This is why it would really be that important that you should really be that at least realistic on the things that you are really that dealing with and never ever make yourself having that kind of
option on the time that you have lost all your money. You are really just that basically making things even more complicated on the time that you are spending someones money.
Never ever do that if you do really want to have a peaceful life. It would be better you do lost all of your funds but not into those other people.

Yeah, it's about your own sake first, and for the sake of that person as well. Maybe with no funds to go, he will get what situation he is currently in, but usually, the realization clicks on too late to change something, unfortunately.

It is true that people who gamble are hard to believe. Once the addiction of gambling consumes them then they start gambling without thinking about other people's money. All people think about their future and accumulate money so it is better to stay away from this category of people. No one can give exact guarantee that gambling will win so it becomes a difficult matter to refund someone else's money. It is better to maintain self-discipline and stay away from these gamblers when it comes to money.
