Before you invest in the CMC ofcourse know the best way to handle and look for what is the most valuable coins to have. Because as the cryptoworld is growing, alot of garbage coins/alts are also growing. In this case fraud project will comeout and stole whatever investement you have. So clearly understand the project purposes like the aci coin, which I cam say ot can give you best investment so well.
New projects are been created to fix the issue of old coins this is why i think its better to always give new projects chances if they are solid enough, if you don't like taking risks then you are better off with old projects, for me i like taking big risks

First thing foremost, to be able to be successful in making investment you must be knowledgable, feed your mind to be clever upon thinking how'd you make or start investing in a said project. You said that only established coins listed on CMC top ranks are worthy of investment. But there are many unexposed gems in the market that are not listed on CMC top ranks and which are likely to rise multiple times in the future as compared to established coins. Investment in established coins is good only for long term (7 to 10 years).
Before you invest in cryptocurrency make sure that you know what it is first. Do some background checking and check the real definition of it. Next one is to check the background of the coin that you are going to invest to. Check if the possibility of gaining an income into it is high. Be patient enough because the coins is volatile, meaning always changing its price so wait for the perfect moment to buy and sell.

I also think that we need to check the partnerships of the project and the accuracy of the locations which they specify. However, it is also useful to check other comments on the social media about the project before investing.

Almost every coin has good team, roadmap and white paper but ultimately failed project. Blockchain types of feature help a project to grow in cryptocurrency, Binance coin surge history was the best example in blockchain history. You got it pretty right, before I invest I seriously to check team performance, some projects do not even follow road map sequentially as they do jump just to meet up or entice Investots, so I follow them from grassroot but as you said, investing in an old projects that has tested time is very good.
this requires complex research, sometimes the team manipulates the situation very well. they upload photos of their activities on social media even though they don't really do that.they do it to attract the attention of investors.

what you have done is very correct, to seriously examine the team's performance and follow the road map in sequence before investing. but sometimes all that has been done does not also guarantee that the projects we invest in will definitely succeed. now there are many who are smart and only seek profits for a moment not with the aim of advancing the project. again luck, also plays an important role in determining a project.
