Of course the top three coins on coinmarketcap would be the best for long-term holding you can always check them and try to have as much as possible of those they would not let you down.

I also regularly invest in the top 10 coins on Coinmarketcap because it is safer than other altcoins. These coins usually have tremendous trading volume and the community is very supportive so its value is less volatile and quick to recover after each market declines.

There are lots of good coin that can invest long term. I trust ETH more so I invested all my money into ETH. Hope it goes beyond bitcoin

If you want to invest for your long term, you have two choice, its either Bitcoin or Ethereum because everyone knows that both coin have potential to grow its value in the future, so invest that coin.

I agree, if I am also depending on both, if I were to choose one I'll go with Bitcoin, since Bitcoin price is huge, your money is safe, it means that you can avoid scam, and also a lot people invest on it, so it's really safe. Bitcoin is also highly volatile, which means that more chances of profit will come.
