@crytotronik

Aby don't you both mine and run masternode? I know it's possible for every coin I know, what's stopping you with LAPO? BTW is this coin listed on any exchange?

I decided to stop mining because I find no more than 2 blocks in 24 h. Masternode gives me 15K in 24h. 2 weeks ago it was around 25K what the masternode payed.

Regarding Exchange:

Today ICO started! So off course there is no exchange yet. Will come soon. This is not a small tiny coin-project. I have all fate this will succeed. Look how much they sold in ICO already.

I started mining again just to see if I would find blocks.

2 blocks (3000 coins) found in 16 hours. Will stop it because my masternode gives me more.

However... its still possible.Dont know why you are so unlucky.

My CPU is a 5830K. 6 core, 12 threads @3900

Solo mining with CPU only! Solo = no pool

I made a screenshot where you can see CPU-Z, lapo mining transactions, getmininginfo (hashrate) and you can see THIS thread in background  Cool

https://imgur.com/a/kYKsFGL

But I'm to stupid to get it showing up here. Please open the link.

When I was mining, diff was around 0,4. Right now is 0.56

You have to find some blocks with 22 cores!? Strange if not.

But as you can see, I'm not kidding.

I started mining LAPO after helpful instructions from this site. Been at it for many hours now with an 8 core AMD but not a single coin so far. Not sure if I am doing something wrong or if it is the difficulty thats causing this. Is there any pool for LAPO that I could join?

Hi,
I really appreciate you posting that pic.
Whilst the nethash rate is quite similar to what it is today, the diff, is significantly higher. I have been mining for 12 hours solid , and still no blocks, but the diff is 1.4 - 1.6, and i cant remember exactly how diff works, but the increase is much harder than it looks. Although it looks like 2 to 2.5 times more if i remember rightly the diff, is usually exponetial, so than 0.56 to 1.4 is more like 20 fold increase in diff...explains why i am not finding any blocks.

The other think when solo mining is latency. I hit this quite a lot being in the UK. When pool mining my 680 ish ms latency makes virtually no difference, but when solo mining, if someone else has say a latency of 10-20ms, then if we both submit together, they win every time....oh well, as i said before, i'm just too late, will have to wait for a pool...
Thanks

@minerja

Yeah, sometimes those powerful server CPUs gives worse results than high frequency regular desktop models. There are many varaibles affecting the final hashpower.

Anyway, is this LAX coin present on any exchange yet?

I hope this is allowed, because its CPU solo only for now. A GPU miner will be released later.

Project is called Lapo. Swiss made, with "real" team (linkedin links provided).

https://lapo.io

wallets here:

http://build.lapo.io

Bitcointalk:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-ico-lapo-decentralized-finance-reinvented-whitelist-bonus-2981605

Explorer:

http://explorer.lax.am

You can use built in miner. 1 block gives you 1500 LAX. Check ICO price!

hmmm,

I read this about 5 minutes after you posted it.
Whilst I was downloading the wallet and letting it sync, I noticed 2 things
1) The wallet was 5 weeks behind ! (original Ann was back in February)
2) The explorer was showing a hashrate of 0.1242 Gh/s, or 124.2 Mh/s

I thought, hmm, must be a real easy algo to mine, but then I found out it is Lryra2z.
So I have no idea what supercomputer you are using to find "a few blocks a day", but my 22 core cpu manages about 600 kh/s or 0.6 mh/s

Easiest way to mine lyra2z is with massive gpu farm now

Strange post...looks like you are simply promoting the ICO

J

I promoting the coin, thats true. I do it because I like the team and project (nice conversations at telegram).

But everything I wrote is true. Its CPU minable only at the moment (wallet + RPC + external miner is not working).

If I show you screenshots of my found blocks, you can say its photoshoped or something like "for sure you used a lot more computing power than a single I7 5820K can do". So believe me or not... but:

I promote the project because I own a Masternode. Guess how I managed to collect 1 million coins! I mined them with my homecomputer.

If I were you, I would give it a try for, lets say 24 hours. Pretty sure you manage to find some blocks.

Lryra2z: All miners are in the same boat. You dont have to fight against huge GPU rigs.

Check my other posts and my profile. Does it look like "not trustworthy"?

happy mining!

The reason I am wary is simple, i'm using a nIntel 22 Core Xeon E5-2699 v4 Broadwell Server CPU/Processor with HT, and in 14 hours mining not found 1 block, with a hasrate of 600Kh/s, so just wondering what your hash is, and how many blocks a day you are mining?
I would not accuse you of "photoshopping", just intruigued. Did you mine when the diff and hash were much lower?

As for gpus, if anyone knows how to write a private pool, then anyone could easily mine using MMR, they are doing about 135Mh/s for 24hrs for around $75, right up to 1.88 Gh/s, so like I say its not really a cpu algo anymore, and as soon as the coin becomes more popular, the gpu guys will cream all the rewards....

My bad really, I should have spotted this coin weeks earlier when the diff would have probably been a tenth what it is now....
Still interested in your hashrate thou, I often think these server cpus are not all they are cracked up to be, generally they have cores but sacrifice speed, and ram speed....often makes the difference.

Try Nimiq. I get around 120 NIM's per day with an old i7 using 6-core so as not to overuse the CPU. Mining it thru Skypool. Skypool miner is very easy to setup both on Ubuntu and Windows.

I'm mining with 8 cores and I'm getting about 270-300 NIM per day

Thanks. Nimiq looks interesting. Below is the Ann thread if anyone is interested

Hi CPU miners!

I stumbled upon a coin which can be mined via Website (voluntarily!).

It's called JSE coin and can be CPU mined on any computer!

It's idea is to use mining instead of advertisements.
This saves electricity, bandwidth and annoying adds to users.
Can be added to any website and is visible to visitors
(they have to agree to mine for you).

I tested it and mining is only active when you're reading.
(e.g. when CPU is idling and it can be barely felt).

Found new CPU only mining coin -German coin. its yescript  cpu mining coin, released 2 days back but their community is big due to youtuber developer team.  their community is here https://discord.gg/V2gFdGr

Haha, now I  know how I missed German coin as its popular among German youtubers,  Smiley
Thanks for sharing, mining it now as network difficulty too less. looks promising,

Is there a bitcointalk thread for the German coin that we can refer to? I found the german thread which refers to as German Community Coin.

Nevermind. Found the ann thread. If anyone is interested then it is below.
