For me as a conservative investor, the best investments are those that grow overtime without me having to check on it on a daily basis. Something that I could hold for a long time and that which gives me a good amount of passive income. Mutual funds, dividend stocks, trust funds are some of the instruments I try to acquire from time to time.

you can go for remittance like business where sending and receiving the amount using bitcoin and paying it out thru cash currency. so the pay out will be your job to complete the process and you must have a good reputation to start with it. or you can start within your circle of friends families and relatives.
You will need money transmitter license to do that. Otherwise, you can be caught as money laundering.

I think Dao is good in short term investment but disclaimer says its not for speculative purpose, in any case hype of this train looks good

Well we can't get the interest as we get in a bank if bitcoin is held within the wallet. But when bitcoin grow periodically we'll get a higher profit than the earning got through the interest from the bank saving.
Keep in mind this is variant to each person whos holding bitcoin.
So that means you would have to still hold a ton of bitcoin or a good amount of it. Or youre just expecting only a couple hundred dollars making it up for each month per year.

BTC is an investment in itself, if you are patient enough to hold for a period of time. But holding alone defeats the purpose of the creation of BTC as it is intended primarily as a currency. One cannot be blamed ( I myself included) if he sees BTC as an opportunity to earn passive income.

both are bad advice, no one is safe at all. Cloud mining mostly using ponzi system and also you need a long time to ROI, may require more than 1 year.

Nowadays, physical mining and cloudmining are a bane towards bitcoin scalability.
The difficulty has risen so much that you won't be able to reach ROI by the time you expected to. Neither you'll reach break even as well.
So stop thinking about investing in so called "legit" cloudmining firms. It'll ultimatelt fetch you nothing.

and what cloud mining sites do you know? there is only 2 legit cloud mining sites, genesis and hashnest, but to get ROI from them, you will need more then 1.5 year. other sites, that are called cloud mining, are ponzi and less safe, but get Roi is easier, if you will be clever.so you must choose: safer but slower sites, or risky but more profitable ones
