Exchange site is not the provider wallet for bitcoin, Exchange is just a marketplace for trading. Not recommended to store of bitcoin there for the longterm. the online wallet is good enough like blockchain.info, but better to use the hardware wallet.
Blockchain.info and coinbase wallet are the ones I use and can recommend to others.
Nano ledger is okay if you want an offline wallet but when in online it is best if you choice blockchain.info because it is safe and most trusted wallet, in our locality we used coins.ph the most trusted here in my country and serve more than million bitcoin users and now they are expanding their services and accept ethereum.

In our coutry there are many wallets are availabe to use and its your choice to choose what's the best among them. In my case I'm using coin.ph because I can widraw any time and anywhere.
I use LedgerNanoS. This is one of the safest wallets. Very easy to use and never let me down. Advise.

For me, the best wallet to suit all my needs is my country's own generated virtual wallet in which my co-Bitcoin users in our country do totally trust and use to secure our Bitcoin earnings and do provide lots of options to choose on how we can easily use it by means of exchanging it into our national currency and to withdraw it as a real money since it is still not widely been used by everybody in out country so no business establishment is already accepting Bitcoin as a term of payment.
