It looks like Haaland's owners can breathe a sigh of relief.

Funny week.. Salah scored 2 points against Luton, Aston Villa lost to Nottingham.  Grin
This was terrible week for most of us but still that means we did not loose much. In some other week 25 points would see me drop a lot of spaces but this week it is just a small red arrow of about 12k for me and I still have Son and Maddison tomorrow to get some more points.

Best decision I made this week is to not do a transfer. Anything I could have done like, destroy half of the team to get Nunez would have made my week so much worse. Unbelievable situations he missed today again. That chance when Salah headed the ball to him is unmissable  Grin

Arsenal and Liverpool fans should not be complaining about VAR and FA decisions because both teams have benefited the most from poor officiating in recent years.

Fact check of nett score from VAR interventions (positive means team benefited, negative means they didn't):
19/20 - Liverpool +2, City 0, Arsenal -1, Chelsea -2 (ref)
20/21 - Chelsea +3, City +2, Arsenal -6, Liverpool -6 (ref)
21/22 - Liverpool +4. City +3, Arsenal +3, Chelsea +1 (ref)
22/23 - Liverpool +5, City -4, Arsenal -2, Chelsea 0 (ref)
Current season: City +2, Chelsea 0, Arsenal 0, Liverpool -1

Nett 5 seasons:
Liverpool +4
City +3
Chelsea +2
Arsenal -5

Arsenal should be complaining the most, Chelsea/City/Liverpool benefited the most.

Lol You literally left out the FA Cup and League Cup robbery in order to make your scumbag club look better. I expected you to compel every decision, including the FA Cup and league cup which you robbed us of. Fans of Arsenal and Liverpool should not grumble because there is nothing to complain about. Every club has benefited in some manner; the only option is to demolish the entire technology.

Liverpool's performance against the league's worst team was embarrassing. I'm still under 20 points.  Angry

I thought a lot about triplecaptaining Salah today, decided against it at the end. Hopefully it doesn't bite me in the ass, I'm saving him for Sheffield.

The problem with that game is that 3 days after Liverpool's playing vs United - but still, Sheffield's on another level of horrible compared to Luton.
I can honestly see Luton surviving the drop this season - whereas I feel Sheffield's got no chance.

I'm on a really shameful 12 points so far, but some heavy hitters are yet to play. 44 is the best round result so far, a Salah hattrick gets me there Cool

It keeps you hanging in there (well not you, you somehow got a 30-point buffer between 1st and 2nd  Tongue), but otherwise you slide down the rankings.
I expect that after the end of the game week the difference between 1st and 2nd place will still be about 30 points.

Many of us in the same boat, this was the week programmed to make all those without Haaland regret it badly and in the end we get so many goals but he doesn't even makes it to 60+ minutes to get a 2 pointer. Only saving grace is that some people had triple captain on him as well, so it can always be worse  Grin I have also seen a guy transferring Doku to Foden this week, that was a costly move.

This GW is terrible but at least it is terrible to most people so not a lot of harm done.

You can offset a bad captain gameweek by having a bunch of other players return at the same time, but it's quite hard to pull off consistently. Even more so, now that you can't fit a full squad of them in 100m anymore.

It keeps you hanging in there (well not you, you somehow got a 30-point buffer between 1st and 2nd  Tongue), but otherwise you slide down the rankings.

So are you saying to us the Manchester City scored 6 goals and no one was made by Haaland and Julian Alvarez? No sense. I cant imagine a guy who was making other things and heard the city make 6 goals, and he thinks to himself "ohh good how much points are waiting for me in Fantasy, so much goals for Haaland and Alvarez" and when he check..... NONE.

that's what happened to me yesterday when i only saw the result and then realized that i only scored a measly 2 points with my two man city players (Halland and Gvardiol). nevertheless, i'm totally satisfied with my points tally (28) so far and i'm also glad that i changed my goalkeepers before the matchday (Flekken out, Onana in) - this change brought me an additional 6 points

Then how was Joelington's push on Gabriel not a foul?

These people are big cheats!!!

Also, sorry for Arsenal fans that got a taste of the brutal EPL VAR. it's the same way Liverpool got a goal flagged as offside just a couple of weeks ago only for the goal to be confirmed after the game ended. Arsenal will probably receive an apology from the officials, nothing more.

Arsenal finally got the taste of their medicine!

Arsenal and Liverpool fans should not be complaining about VAR and FA decisions because both teams have benefited the most from poor officiating in recent years. Arsenal robbed Chelsea of two FA Cups due to poor officiating by Anthony Taylor in two finals, while Liverpool and VAR did the same thing to Chelsea two seasons ago in the FA Cup and League Cup finals. Everyone knows Chelsea was the better team in those finals and was cheated, but all we received in return was an apology, which you'll get on Monday night.

Anthony Taylor has been demoted to the championship for his years of wicked and terrible officiating. Very well deserved

^Why is everyone so hyped on Arsenal? They are actually quite bad this season if you compare their current data with last season data. Yeah, they had some nice results and got a lot of points so far but other then Saka I wouldn't really want any of their players for long time.

I completely have the same idea with you. For example they played very bad in the Chelsea match. Besides they were horrible in the matches they won home against Manchester United and Nottingham Forest as well.I'm always trying to give Saka a place in my fantasy squad because of his always being a player who can score and make assists anyway.

Finally Haaland can rest and give us the managers breathing space without too much tinkering, replacing him would be very essential and would separate the sheep from the goats, the Haaland template is beginning to get boring, you can't think of a replacing him even during his drought period because of his ownership would put you at a huge disadvantage.

I didn't watch a second of the match but after seeing the scoreline I was ecstatic, that this must be a good week, not nothing he didn't more than a single point  Sad

Hahah, nice to see the Haaland panic Grin
The guy's built like a horse though, I think it's nothing serious.

What to say about Doku? 4 assists from expected 0.38 xA.
He's got 2 goals and 5 assists total from 0.5 and 1.7 xG and xA, way above expected return - especially today.

I do like how he plays though - he's very direct. I won't be picking him in my team (much better City options available), but fair play to 2% of the players that risked with him.

Saka was kept quiet today against Newcastle, and a game that should have ended with both teams having one point was destroyed again with another very wrong decision from VAR and the officials who allowed that Newcastle goal stand.

EVEN A CHILD CAN SEE THAT THE BALL WAS CLEARLY OUT OF PLAY!!!

Saka blanked for another week. This is like the 3rd week this season that he has blanked with very little returns. At the beginning of the season, I had both Martineli and Saka but they underperformed and both picked up injuries even though Saka was back faster than Martineli, samw thing. I sold him off a week or two ago and I'm glad I did even though I know he would pick form sooner or later.

@Igebotz why didn't you captain Haaland? Surely this week he hauls again?

You now know the answer! Decisions like this are what distinguishes professional managers from potential managers. Just when everyone expected him to haul, I didn't believe it. He will now be gone from my team for a few weeks. Salah Hattrick is necessary tomorrow for me to move into the top five.
I’ll be surprised if you go by that decision as only over the night, you reckoned on my decision to use Haaland to top up my bankroll to get other players in the likes of M. Salah and H. Son in wasn’t the best of ideas. I’m so proud of my decisions on E. Haaland based on the results from the game week, all thanks to Pep but then, 2 points for a Captain, even Bowen from GW10 was great choice.

Halaand was knocked out and taken off - I'm keeping an eye on his situation, but if he puts me in a 50-50% delima by Friday noon, he's gone! I can get by with Watkins and Alvarez for a few GWs till Halaand heals. I merely mentioned having Halaand provides you an advantage, not that he's irreplaceable. We've reached the point where the captaincy and chips must be applied accurately.

This is Manchester city next 3 fixtures; Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham - Halaand is not a big game player.

Doku has brought such a boost to the Manchester City squad and you can say he fits in very well, forces the attack just as much as Pep would have expected of him but, does he really fit to feature on your teams? I mean, his a good player but, there’s questions on playing time and if he’s going to be able to produce those needed points but hey, how can we tell.

He did great today.

Doku and Diaby are great differential options. If you need any to make dangerous moves then you would need either of these players. I would consider Doku at some point of the season but that would mean getting out Alvarez. I can't do max 3 for a team

Doku got 19 points + bonus coming soon.
