i will choose bitcoin only if i don't have any plan to increase the amount of my bitcoin. but if i have a plan then after i have bitcoin, i will buy some altcoin and holding like what i am do with the bitcoin because the altcoin price can be increase too so i can make my bitcoin amount is increase too. but i realize that there is no other best investment now than holding bitcoin only because the bitcoin price is still going up and we don't know when the price will be the highest price.
If I planned on buying some coins today. Which would be the better long term investment, and why?
bitcoin I the first bet, invest 60%-70% of your money on bitcoin for the long term investment and it gives you a more profits in the future, and the rest (the other 30%-40%) of your money you have are goes to altcoin and do some trade activity in the market to earn much more on the short term.
Currently I would say bitcoin for sure is the best long-term investment in Cryptocurrency. However I would and will stay diligent on watching the other currencies in the news to see if there are potential contenders even though I forsee that being very unlikely right now.
In my opinion i rather to say bitcoin is not really good to buy now, i just worry about this price only rising because of 2nd fork. It's better to buy after fork happened except you have money to throw in btc, in this case people should consider to invest in altcoin

Bitcoin is the king of cryptocurrency and there is no other coin giving so much profits and eases to the investors life no second opinion can be made here bitcoin will remain at the throne of crypto because it is trend setter and who crypto is being known just because of bitcoin and altcoin is unknown to all but bitcoin is evergreen and its blessings are countless,Ya I agree you.Bitcoin is the king of all altcoin.But ,Now the price of bitcoin is keeps on increasing.So ,it's the right time to sell your holding bitcoin and use that profit to earn some other altcoin and you can start trade with the profit from the selling.If so,you will get some more bitcoin at that rate.Now,better to inverse in altcoin.

It would be bitcoin right now because it has the most volume and looking to have a bigger gain by the end of the fork but altcoins are good for day trading and BTC for long term holding.

Right now it would be bitcoin because it is rising quickly and can hit 7k before the fork ends, which is great but not to great of alts. but also eth and xrp are growing.
I also go for bitcoin not just because of the surge in price which happened in a couple of days but because of the up coming air drop (fork) which is also the reason why the increase in demand of bitcoin was so strong

The better investment right now we be investing into bitcoin and some other altcoin like Qtum, Lsk, Kmd and Salt cause this altcoin will pump after the up coming fork.
The way bitcoin has gone up, recovering so strongly from the China FUD, etc., it seems best to just hold onto bitcoin....maybe invest new fiat in altcoins. I'm no trader though, I usually long-term hold once I find something that seems promising, even if it dips.

Bitcoin to me is always going to be better. Imagine someone who had gotten bitcoin when it dipped and how much profit is already accrued on it right now.Like you said, in a few months, there will be some huge changes for bitcoin and we will end up seeing it in totally new dimension than we have seen before. Moon is just for real and there is no 2 ways about that.
Isn't obvious that the bottom line why we are getting profits from altcoins is because of bitcoin price? No matter what coin we being traded, the final phase is still it will converted to bitcoin price. And now that bitcoin have a decent price right now and it was more expected in the future, then profit is will be really nice.
You know it's not about being better in terms of investments but accumulations of bitcoins is kinda more difficult today than accumulating altcoins. So what to do? Then take advantage of altcoins then used the profit here in order to have some quantities on bitcoin and vice versa. Both are better investment if we will think out of the box much better if we will remove the box.

Good choice, the price of most of the altcoins are very low, even you can see this is the lowest price in some altcoins from the bearish trend starting till today. Important, there are not much newbie know that, only the traders have experience after bearish and bullish trend can know now is the time to buy altcoins, I also want to buy more, but to be honest, my balance has not Bitcoin at now

Bitcoin is a good investment because of that huge price but altcoins is also good. In my opinion altcoin is good for long term investment, especially a new altcoin that really have a good project in the future, like investing an ICO altcoin. I have a friend that invest on an altcoin and have a big profit.

Ya I agree you.If you are a full time Trader ,you know this fact.If any of coins price is increased so ,sell that coin and inverse that profit money to brought other for the more profit in future. If the price of any altcoin is low at that time or new coin released means,inverse your money in that.It will give you huge profit.
I 'm just wondering if MY ICO-ETH investment when both were low is great ? same for EOS, should i keep it as its already profitable ? i didn't go into the bitcoin rush as it will soon go down and i want to get it around 4000 max. what do you think? THXX

i think bit coins is the best option for long time investing. so you should invest in bit coins. actually more people investing in bit coin in that time bit coin price raise so it can give us more profit. for shopping and buying things we have to need bit coins. in the world lot of people using in money place bit coins only. in market also more people can try to buying it. and alt coins it can also has good demand in market. so if you have to buy first bit coin next give priority for buying alt coins.
