For me it is still the bitcoins because there are way too expensive and successful so less risk to have rather than altcoins. But still there are risk, because it might fall like when the segwit occurs or aome country will banned it again. Investing bitcoin still has risks. It can crash 90% tomorrow without any sign. Though I personally think it has the lowest risk investment out of all.

Also, it is very very untrue that no other coin will compete with bitcoin. It's too early to say. Who knows, a new cryptocurrency 5-10 years from now will defeat bitcoin in terms of technology and innovation in general? That's why it's always not a good idea to go all in on cryptocurrencies.

To be honest it will depend on your risk appetite. Bitcoin is the most stable coin in the market and most likely the price will go higher each year. For altcoins there are coins out there that are cheap right now but has a good potentials. If you have few thousand bucks i would advise you to diversify even though Bitcoin is almost a certain great investment you may also hit a jackpot when you purchase an altcoin. You know what they say high risk high reward.

I would always choose Bitcoin, for me it still has more advanatages compared to altcoins. I have never cared too much for altcoins and I think there are only few of them that are worth of attention, like Etherum. With altcoins you are also exposed to biger risk and very often smaller profit also, unless in very short term trading options.

off course bitcoin is better decision than altcoin because the rate of bitcoin is increasing most probably while the rate of altcoin have no such increase and some altcoin are going to dump. so bitcoin is good for investment as compare to altcoin.

For the long term, Bitcoin, short term, altcoins. There is no doubt that the long term returns on Bitcoins are near guaranteed, as long as you watch and keep an eye on things to be sure. Fast and dirty profits are the altcoin thing and that is really easy, so that may be the best route for you, although Bitcoins is pretty much buy and sit there and and watch the money.

You are very much right. I think there is no match of the worth and value of Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the best coin present amongst all other coins in the world of Crypto Currencies. Don't forget that, altcoins always rise or fall according to btc's fluctations mainly. Yes, there will be always price movements of altcoins independent from btc, but according to the graphics, the prices changes are connected to btc's changings usually. I think btc is the #1 coin and I think it is better to invest in btc instead of the altcoins.

i am quite disagree with you because i prefer right now altcoin because i think the price of the bitcoin not exceeds to 5000$ or 5500$ to next 4 to 5 months and profit margin is very low. i prefer some of the altcoin like litecoin , neo and some under 1$ coin like stratis , ark and comodo because they have very good potential to get huge profit in the future.

I always prefer Bitcoins over any of the altcoins. My logic is pretty clear. If you have a choice, then go for the original over the duplicates. And don't get too greedy. Forget about 1,000x profits. None of the altcoins are going to give you that sort of returns.

you nailed it as all the glitters are not gold (however nowadays people prefer bitcoin over the gold just saying). Always original is better and long lasting we have seen bitcoin going through the crisis and many of us thought that's the end of bitcoin era and many new users started trading their bitcoin at low price but every time bitcoin has comeback stronger and meanwhile these new replica alt coins have seen little surge but ultimately gonna collapse so it's better not to be greedy and stick to bitcoin.
