after attending the bitcoin conference I have less hope in bfl than ever. AVALON ASIC are definitely no1 in this field. I was lucky enough to party with yifu. I have nothing but respect for him.

They don't know themselves at the moment. They just changed the company they're using to package their chips because they were unhappy with the speed and quality. 
I think they expect to get different / better service elsewhere
