Bitcoin: An Idea Worth Spending
June 11, 2014, 10:25:31 PM

After all the BFL threads, and people still order from them...

Unbelievable.

Dude, it's not like it was $7M USD in the past 9 days or something. Oh, wait...

And, this was penned two months plus prior to HashTrade's infamous $1M USD via BTC down payment via BitPay for their multi-million dollar order.

http://www.coindesk.com/bitpay-processes-1-million-bitcoin-order-butterfly-labs/

Quote
“The $1m payment with bitcoin is only a down payment of a much larger institutional order for 28nm product, and is not related to 65nm production,” he added.

Ownby went on to say Butterfly Labs has quadrupled its 65nm production in the last six weeks and has doubled its production staff.

“Funds received for 28nm Monarch products are used for production of our 28nm Monarch cards only. We expect to begin delivery of Monarch cards in December,” he concluded.

Either these guys who were/are in good standing with BFL either got shafted royally since being at the end of the queue, or are happily hashing away for a while now on their Monarchs. Either case is not a pleasant scenario.

Well hello there!
June 11, 2014, 09:32:44 PM
Simply amazing to me that BFL is still getting away with all this crap.  Albeit slightly less amazing given the amount of other crap going on in the asic manufacturing world atm imho

*2 weeks!

Update is going to come tomorrow, since there's some language in there that will provide some dates and I don't want to commit to something we can't deliver and I need to review it prior to posting it.

And today the forum website is down.
This does not bode well.

heh almost matches word for word imho what he has quoted before " i don't want to comit to something we can't deliver" i guess 'two more weeks' has been recycled

Copy paste 65nm
Copy paste excuses
Copy paste 1 year to deliver.

Nothing original in BFL's repertoire.
Sounds like you, nothing original.

November 2013
December 2013
January 2014
February 2014
March 2014
April 2014
May 2014

June 2014?

Remember, “initial shipping” of Monarchs was promised in November/December 2013 (red underlines added):

Respectfully, experience and history on these forums will clearly illustrate that the only thing that is solid, is the density of their bullshit.

heh...TAPE OUT AUGUST 2013 heh.....man what a LIE that was...9 months from TAPEOUT...heh...quite!!!!!........the run of BAD LUCK don't ya know!

BFL stamps foot! Them pesky circumstances...just don't seem to work in our favor....(on the other hand you piss off the wrong Voodoo Priestess on
an early 2013 65mm asic order...and you could be in this much bad luck with the curse and all I guess??...NAW...they are screwing with us...(though
a nice Voodoo curse by anyone qualified at this point ..would be a nice touch...i vote FACE WARTS on Josh...others?)

(move along move along nothing to see here......)

I made a day SC Single order in June 2012 and by the time I realized the lies coming out of BFL I pretty much wrote off the 209 BTC I paid since even if BFL somehow gave me a refund it would buy less than 12BTC at the time the Single was delivered 13 months later in July 2013.  So people have ordered last year are basically repeating what happened with the 65nm stuff (just without the Jalapeno vs little single vs single drama).

So should we be expecting Luke to get 1 and BFL to claim they have started shipping?  Are they going to send units out to every tech blog under the sun?

DrG

I think Luke already got something. They couldn't play with the boards they have unless he did that work right?

Funny he is pretty quiet on all that I assumed he was still under BFL contract right?

Who was the person in the Monarch video? That would be a good question. Voice is Kiwi / Aussie right?

So you jumped ship eh...

Let us see did you get a refund from Josh direct? Or did you pawn off your worthless order on some other person?

You are the lowest of the low.
Dude, YOU begged me and begged me to take that order off my hands, and now you call ME low?  I didn't want to sell it to you, but I couldn't take your pathetic PM's any longer so I accepted your BTC for it.
