I think he has a new mission in life--seek out and exploit contests and donate the spoils to Bitcoin 100. Pretty neat idea, if I may say so myself. Thank you kindly, Kluge, for all your efforts and recent contributions.

Yeah, but until these donations actually go anywhere, Bitcoin100 is still just a black hole with no one owning or having rights to its contents.

Finally reconciled the financial sheet http://goo.gl/Mk3hp
I really shouldn't let things go for too long, and really need to clean it up to make it look better. Still working on moving coins from BTC100 to the new MemDealer addy (getting help from another furry)

cryptoxchange has donated 50 BTC to Bitcoin 100. I was notified via PM. Thank you kindly, cryptoxchange, for you wonderful contribution. They have stated that there's more to come. The list in the OP has been updated reflecting this donation. Rassah will soon update the books, as well.

If I shaved, I would look like you. And if I shaved down there, I would look like your coffee table. I hope you did well in your classes, otherwise this community will kick you in your furry ass. Thank you kindly for keeping up on the books. How long would it take to hash this vanity address?: 1ChiCab1(any small case letter).... It'll be for Chicago Cabbie. I'm planning on seeing him next week to present to him his free leather Bitcoin wallet.

~Bruno~

I think if you let your body hair grow all out all over the place, you'd look more like my coffee table. Won't be done with class craziness until I'm all done in May. The first few classes were just a bit overwhelming.
Will probably take half a day or less to hash that. You sure you want me to do that though? If you give him that address to use, you won't have any guarantee that I don't have the private key any more other than my word.

Your word is damn good enough for me. If you don't mind hashing it, I think it would make a nice gift to Chicago Cabbie.

Added profile picture to get +1 to my legitimacy stat Cool
Was rather busy rebuilding my server at home, so didn't have access to private key generation in a while. It's all set up now, so I'm hashing out a 1MemDea1 addy for Roger, so I can finally move his donation into his own private address, and update the financial tracking sheet. (that, plus been super busy with work and new classes starting up, otherwise I might've considered joining that Satoshi Superstars thing)

Kluge has kindly donated .5 BTC that he won from red123's current contest: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/valentine-bitcoin-contest-submit-your-entry-63286

You can be informed of recent updates by joining the mailing list located on the Bitcoin 100 home page, here or here. I've also posted this same information at the top of the OP. This list will serve to notify members of pending matters related to Bitcoin 100 only and will not be made available to any other sources. The only requirement is your email address, perhaps even one that you rarely use or one not easily traced back to you if you so understandably have that concern.

I know some people at the ACLU.  I talked to them about Bitcoin and they seemed interested if it would actually bring in a good amount of money.  Would you guys be interested in donating to them?

Looks like you have your assignment, RaggedMonk. Good luck, and don't be afraid to ask for assistance here if you run into any type of snag.

All paid signature campaigns should be banned.
This would be huge.  Even though I may not personally like every little thing they do this would be a huge publicity win.  I vote +1

This sounds really good. I think they could qualify as the first Bitcoin 100 organization. I'm definitely ok with it. That would be over 100 bitcoins the instant they add Bitcoin as a donation method...

Dozen issues is rather expensive cost-wise. Not very polite to volunteer others to give charity :/
By the way, why didn't you use Google Apps for your site? You could've used the bitcoin100.org domain name while having a Google Sites site, with Google Docs forms, and Gmail for e-mail accounts to send stuff out of, and besides the domain name, it would've been all free.

Every time I come up with a suggestion, it cost me money. You're right about it not being polite. If it's worded in such a way in the introductory letter to the non-profits, and they would like to have a complimentary issue sent to their office, I will pay for it. FIXED!!!

I like your suggestion about using Google Apps, but opt for having our own domain name and self-hosting it. That way there'll be little chance of having it taken down due to some overlooked term of service.

I resemble that remark.

Any updates on how contacting the organizations is going? Do we need new organizations to contact? I can help with that if help is needed.

Since Derek hasn't posted anything to the contrary, we can safely assume no updates. Any help you desire to offer up, Technomage, would be duly accepted.

I'm still trying to get the email aspect to work on the web site. I almost have it. Then, I need to populate it with relative content. The site's objective is to be directed toward prospective charitable organizations. The minor aspect is to have a place where supporters can register, thereby able to receive periodic updates of what's the latest pertaining to Bitcoin 100.

I was thinking that in our initial contact with the non-profits, offer them a complimentary issue of Bitcoin Magazine. All they'll have to do is state that they accept our kind offer. I'm sure Big-Ears (Matthew) would have no problem with provided up to a dozen free issues monthly, if that so be the case.
