Since this topic was created, I want to share the project we've created which is a point of sale, and since I am one of the many bitcoin and cryptocurrency enthusiasts here, I've decided to add bitcoin and ethereum payment option to it. That is because I believe that bitcoin in daily living could be achieved if we are to contribute our skills and knowledge in developing systems that could help people make their task easier.

very interesting to read the article, but it can be applied if in my country bitcoin has been implemented and supported by the government, for now I still find it difficult to carry out daily activities using bitcoin .. !!
This is the reality, even in my country lack of establishment to use bitcoin as payment. So, still fiat money is easy to use that can buy goods and services. But, we can use btc in online to buy some what we needs. Also, I use btc for investment and trading other crypto.

Fiat is still the leader in crypto as of the moment, and we can't deny the fact that it would be hard for now to replace fiat as we have been comfortable using it and we are secure since we can physically see it unlike in crypto that any moment it will be gone as there's a lot of hackers out there who were using crypto world to scam and to hack people's hard earned money.

I prefer bitcoin to be used for investment and trading even though i have an small amount of fund. There aren't as much use of it other than buying and selling and we dont have much access into buying things through bitcoin. I treat it as an asset not to be spent carelessly that's why im accumulating it. Even though bitcoin is legal in my country there isn't really much use of it to buy things cause local businesses hasn't really adopted it due being in a third world and people lacking the knowledge of it.
Become bitcoin legal using for investing and trading I think is enough because we can get much profit with bitcoin, to buy your daily needed just sell and convert your bitcoin become cash money, right money many escrow can you use to get money faster from your bitcoin assets without waiting one day for withdrawing your bitcoin, but you have looking for trusted escrow for your cash out bitcoin.
Do you think it easy to make profit in trading bitcoin? Are you considering the risks? Trading bitcoin is not easy as you think, there are a lot of information that should be consider before making investment with trading. The volatility of the bitcoin is so high where the price is always changin every hour, minuted and even seconds. Buying and selling bitcoin is legal in our country but the government reminds our citizens that it is high risks investment and many people experience to lose their money in trading.

I do not use bitcoin directly but I sell bitcoin in the local market in my country, where after selling bitcoin I get a local balance in terms of RUPIAH balance (INDONESIA) where it can be used as a voucher that can be used by other local market users named (INDODAX ) I usually use goods / transactions using vouchers because it's easier and faster.
Myself too prefer spending bitcoin selling it to traders on localbitcoins. Also we don't have much of access to buying of things with bitcoin. In recent years majority of direct bitcoin spending of mine were on gambling. In my country slowly businesses have begun to accept bitcoin, maybe when government makes strong decision supporting the usage of cryptocurrency daily living with bitcoin becomes possible.
Here in my country too, bitcoin is not really supported by the government but they are not also banning it either. There are only quite number of merchants who only accept bitcoin but in my own place, there is none. So i can't transact things using bitcoin, but only fiat. But i know as long as more technologies will come to develop, bitcoin will be more acknowledged in the coming years.

Before, I got a full time fiat paying job we lived solely on Bitcoin/Crypto earnings, actually my Wife she is living on Bitcoin and paying all the bills, mortgage and her expenses again in BTC, but she has to convert to euros first. So she is living solely now form that but we save some of my earnings of fiat after I pay living costs here as right now we both work in a different country. It is not difficult anymore to live off of Bitcoin but sometimes you need to make arrangements to get the coins converted. I want to get a bitcoin debit card, that is on my list and so does my wife as well. That is something we both do not have yet.

That's the benefits of crypto even you can't used it directly but it have a value that you can exchange to another payment process or to your local fiat to enjoy, from where am I there's a lots of ways to use bitcoin as the local exchange have the partnership with other payment process and you can convert bitcoin to order online. It won't take the process for so long and you can enjoy your needs after.
Because most of the country now have their own ways to convert your bitcoin into fiat money, we also have the same way to exchange bitcoin and its very convenient and in 30seconds your money will be transfer directly to your bank account. Right now, I’m not using my bitcoin because its still cheap and I can’t afford to sell it at a loss, maybe if the bull trend started I will start transacting using my bitcoin again.

I d never consider BTC or crypto as a means of payment. At least not yet. It is simply to complicated ATM. As long as your grandmother or 11 year old child cannot use Bitcoin to buy simple stuff like bread or ice cream, crypto payments need to be simplified further.

However, making crypto your primarily source of income and then living on that, it is definitely possible. Several of my friends have quit their jobs and their sole source of income ATM s crypto and FIAT they received after selling crypto. That s the way we should all think about this new economy we all participate in.

I too have used bitcoin to buy and sell things and services but now has limited myself to buying bitcoins from fiat and selling it to fiat cause the possibility of price increase and volatility doesn't make it worth the effort. I spent bitcoins mostly when it was around $200 and all I have now from that time is regret.
I think that most of us that have been in this market for several years lament to not have held our coins for a longer period of time, but we are never going to get those coins back so we need to concentrate on how to get more coins and how to keep the ones that we already got, and while I understand your desire to not use your bitcoin except to speculate with it if we keep that attitude then bitcoin is never going to progress as a currency.

If you have the opportunity to use bitcoin to pay for a product and it is something that you really need then use your bitcoin.

In my place not all shops accept credit cards, especially with bitcoin, maybe this is still not common for most people. They don't want to take the risk because the value is not stable, so this is still not possible in my country.
But indeed I use bitcoin as well or other crypto to trading and investment and have shopped using bitcoin, but that is also not often.

I have never used Bitcoin directly to pay for anything, but I have used it to buy gift cards. I make use of the BitPay wallet and it has always been my means of spending my Bitcoins whenever I want.. I ordered for their Visa card last year and I have been using it, it's really cool, except for the fees. But, they don't charge any fees when you want to convert your Bitcoin to dollars.

There are lots of gift cards that you can buy from the BitPay wallet, so instead of withdrawing my Bitcoins I can simply just buy the gift card I need, whether Amazon, Delta, XBox or any gift card, and I can then spend it on the platform on whatever I want. That's really one of the coolest things about Bitcoin right now. I have also done face to face transaction with a local Bitcoin exchanger, and have him make fiat payment to my bank account. Using Bitcoin is really cool.
Not bad but we need to begin to try to push people to accept bitcoin transactions directly, all of those methods to convert your bitcoin to fiat first are decreasing the effectiveness of bitcoin as a currency.

But I understand you, there are not many options at the moment where to spend our bitcoin and it is difficult to have your money there knowing that you could use it for something that you need and realize that there is not a store that accepts bitcoin as payment for what you want.

Would you sell bitcoin now before it drops even more as analysts say? I am not very versed in technical analysis. Therefore I ask you to reduce the risk of loss
