Bitcoin has really good transaction properties, however the price fluctuations make it harder to make daily transactions. You would have to hope that the price of bitcoin rises to be able to afford items you could have bought yesterday. Thats a problem.
If you ignore the dollar fiat valuation and the daily fluctuation and consider bitcoin as a valuation when you entered then these sort of hiccups can be avoided but there are a lot of development left and the developers are behind it and hopefully in the near future we will have a solution that we could scale and able to send the coins without much transaction fees, even now the transaction charges are low but if the network is congested it will take some time for verification and as a merchant you cannot accept the coin if there is a longer confirmation time.

Who here uses Bitcoin daily or lives on the financial crypto market?

I personally use Bitcoin wherever I possibly can, and accept it directly without converting it to fiat immediately. I have been using Bitcoin daily for years. (Ever since Bitpay started improving its Bitcoin debitcard product)

In my country, It will be difficult for me to spend my bitcoins to provide my daily needs or necessities because there are only few stores here who only accepts bitcoin as a currency, that is why I usually convert my bitcoin into fiat just for me to provide my needs. I can only used my bitcoin to pay bills, buy prepaid loads, game credits, and the things that i ordered in online shopping.

If a person had a regular job. Yes, he can hold and buy more during dip of the market. It's not necessarily you have to spend lots of Bitcoin to cash out instantly for your daily expenses. But if you don't have a regular job or any business that you could make some money then I feel sorry for your lose.

We do have different state in life, so for some people they are cashing out all the fund they have, then it is fine, this has been part of their daily living, we should understand it, but if one people would like to make Bitcoin as a way to save money as he has a lot of money reserve for their daily life then it is better, but, I would not recommend him to save everything in Bitcoin, but to cash out other his income and just leave fund reserve for investment.

Instead of using it on your daily lives I think it would be better if you could just earn and hold it. Aren't you aware of the coming bull run? You could have earn more profit by next year if you could just hold it until the right time to sell. You were that not all people are aware of that innovative technology yet. Bitcoin will be the future gold and look at how things are going in 10 years.

Imo , do you know if the person has something to eat while hodling and expecting for a future rise? Or would you starve to death while you can safe yourself by yourself ?  I don't think is a wise decision to have a solution of selling your coin while being infested with a deadly I'll health that could kill and not safe your life first.

I don't buy the "volatility" argument anymore. Well yeah, it's volatile compared to USD but why is the USD the reference? Reference should be something that keeps the value but dollar is not the case. Just look at what could you afford with $100 a decade ago and now. Or 50 years ago. 100 years ago. Dollar is volatile too. Its value is constantly decreasing. This is not the case with Bitcoin.

Well, that's good for you. Here in my country i can use bitcoin for online transaction, selling or buying selected product but using bitcoin as daily living it's not. You still need to convert it into fiat before you can use it anywhere or even to buy goods and services.

For now, yes. It is mostly a convenient online payment method, good and fast alternative to paypal but using blockchain. The thing is, that cryptocurrencies are getting more and more improved, fast, safe and convenient to use in everyday form. I mean alts ofc, but bitcoin itself could be improved as well, if it adapted and used some useful improvements found in today's most used alts.

The Biggest challenge that Bitcoin faces is its speculative price. The fluctuations of Bitcoin are not sustainable for making daily purchases
This is the fact why bitcoin is not suitable as a means of payment.  The price is easy to change at any time, so it is not suitable to be used as a measure of the price of an item.
Especially for micropayments, it is more effective to use fiat.  While bitcoin, with its potential, is more suitable to be used as an investment tool and trading commodity.  Meanwhile, even if you want to be used for payments, with the ease and speed of delivery, it is more effective for macro payments.

In some parts of the world it might be easier for people to use bitcoin as a day to day payment method given the percentage of crypto awareness in that part, but due to to the lack of trust and investment in it in some other part of the world it is hard to us to do so, since we live with other people, we are forced to  act the way the world and the society  forces us to, so you can't buy food or take transport unless you pay with fiat, now you could try and live of bitcoin and crypto using indirect ways that includes bitcoin debit cards or other services, but it does not feel right, it is not using bitcoin. which is the whole purpose of using it to promote it.

Bitcoin adoption in my country is not widely accepted, as many people in our country are not yet aware of this technology. Me, I only use bitcoin when I pay for water bills, electricity and internet bills. I also use it for local online shops here in my country because they are accepting bitcoin but it is automatically converted to fiat money.

I have been living (surviving) from what little bitcoin income i managed to obtain online for the last couple of years. Living with bitcoin is simple: You only spend what you must, and keep (hold/save) the rest. Since almost no one accepts bitcoin directly here (despite misleading news), this means exchanging it prior to going out to buy.

This is probably unsuitable for most people, unless you live in a "subsidized" environment such as with your family where you wouldn't need to pay for food or rent, or a country with a broken economy...

Ideally a "proper" job (hundreds, instead of tens of USD equivalent a month) with bitcoin payment would suffice, or fiat paid and you exchange all you can. Yes i know in rich countries you are supposed to earn thousands of USD/month to live, but lets ignore the rich...

In my case, I don't casually use bitcoin. I use it only when I'm investing. I get it that we can use it in plenty of ways daily but I am not into using its full potential and capability. I think also that it would be more risky if you will use bitcoin daily knowing that frauds and scams are everywhere nowadays. You can use bitcoin for convenience but always make sure you are using it in the right way and avoid involving yourself in illegal activities in collaboration with bitcoin so that you can really get the most from it even on a daily basis.

I'm starting to become quite fond of using crypto-currencies for everyday occurrences. Ordering Pizza is probably my favorite thing to spend coins on. I first started around 2014 when Coinbase was just getting off of the ground and starting to take shape as a legitimate regulatory compliant exchange. To be frank, after the Mt. Gox situation, as a speculator I was scared as hell to invest in any exchange. Purse.io is probably one of the best platforms still around from the early days.

If bitpay can be used in my country and get permission to connect with various payments, then it's very interesting, the only thing I know up to now is that there is only one local premium tv service that accepts bitcoin, and that too doesn't get big attention. Basically the price of services / products can be made more expensive because the price of BTC is always changing, the most important thing is its function.

Many companies have taken a defiant stance against Bitcoin because of these price fluctuations.
This is the main reason why merchants are having a second thought, and those who do are doing this because of they supporters or doing experiments, but if I am a merchant I will readily accept payment, I will just set up or create a safety net, so even if Bitcoin drops or increase my company is still safe.

In the whole world I believe there are only a few governments that accept Bitcoin directly (as in, they accept Bitcoin without you needing to sell or convert it). These are in Switzerland and Austria, and even then it is not for every public service, just selected ones.

Even so, I can only read about these in newspapers, never tried myself.

It will take time, but for now yeah, all we can do is sell to fiat and pay bills. But one day...

I think that Venuezuela is also accepting it, they are adopting the use of crypto to their country as one of their way to cover up the loss the had from financial crisis, so they are checking all the possible ways for it.

Well, here in our country, people will not threat you once they saw and they knew that you are in crypto world, little by little they are realizing it is not a scam.
