In the whole world I believe there are only a few governments that accept Bitcoin directly (as in, they accept Bitcoin without you needing to sell or convert it). These are in Switzerland and Austria, and even then it is not for every public service, just selected ones.

Even so, I can only read about these in newspapers, never tried myself.

It will take time, but for now yeah, all we can do is sell to fiat and pay bills. But one day...

We lived on Crypto full time until I got a teaching job, but my Wife now told me she has now a full time job being paid in Bitcoin as her monthly salary, so technically now form that she can live on it full time, as I am teaching in Thailand right now.. So if I were to pack my job in now and went back home, we could live on Bitcoin alone, plus other crypto jobs I am doing but I have a two year contract and I enjoy what I do. She can work remotely and join me in Thailand soon for a few months, which is great. Living on Bitcoin gives you more freedom of choice.

I use it mainly to buy the things I wanted online.
Same and it looks like this the least we can do when it comes on using bitcoin as payment. Though we're slowly on adoption we can't still deny the fact that only few countries has opened their doors for bitcoin. However, I know we're getting there as virtual wallets are emerging and people are slowly getting used to it.

Likely, just also use bitcoin on paying bills online and sending money, no more no less.

That is the real platform for Bitcoin but unfortunately, we are not getting enough space for this purpose, I think if Bitcoin would become an easy-going payment system then people must use it for their daily life but due to lack of price stability and legal status people don't get this opportunity yet, so I think it's not the time to think about this platform, I think when this Bitcoin platform will become stable and get accepted at the whole world then we will use it, But It requires a lot of time because still, people are not used to having it due to lack of acceptability and credibility. I think this Cryptocurrency platform should be more stable and accepted and then it will automatically be used in our daily life.

I use it daily at food merchants in the business district. I decided early on that I would support the merchants that supports Bitcoin, so I take my lunch budget at the beginning of the month and I convert it to bitcoins. I then spend those bitcoins daily at the local food merchants to buy food and drinks for lunch.

The challenge for me is to get more food merchants to accept bitcoins, because I am limited to about 5 food merchants now and it is boring to eat the same things over and over again, every day.  Roll Eyes

Who here uses Bitcoin daily or lives on the financial crypto market?

I personally use Bitcoin wherever I possibly can, and accept it directly without converting it to fiat immediately. I have been using Bitcoin daily for years. (Ever since Bitpay started improving its Bitcoin debitcard product)

Im not really spending my btc or any other crypto just to make purchases or pay for services in a daily basis. Im more on using fiat debit cards and cc to use it on daily transactions. We dont have a lot of merchants and service providers that accept btc either. btc atms are also in the selected areas only.

That's nice to hear. It is one thing to be just a Bitcoin or crypto supporter and quite another to really live life as a Bitcoin or crypto supporter.

But I don't think this is possible in my country right now. Bitcoin or crypto-accepting stores are not that widespread. In fact, there are only a handful mainly spread within the national capital region. Although there are already crypto debit cards in partnership with the likes of Visa, MasterCard, or UnionPay all over the world, it is also not that known here yet. Even living fully cashless here is kind of difficult with a big part of our markets not even keeping up with the digital age.

I can consider my self as living half of cryptocurrency and fiat financially. The reason is that not all the time there is a feature for simple stores to accept cryptocurrency. Though through my personal transaction from my peers, I utilize crypto, I still cannot implement it to an overall transaction that I have. For example, not all transportation vehicle permits to pay using crypto, not all grocery store utilizes it and more factor follows. But I am hoping to the fact that through time, enterprises can develop their own crypto systems in the future.

There's a limited way to spend bitcoin here so its not possible to rely on bitcoin as your currency to provide the things you need each day.

I usually spend my bitcoin when paying my bills using our local wallet. It has features wherein you can use your btc to load your phone or pay your monthly bills or even your monthly contribution for different agencies.

Im looking forward for more merchant to accept bitcoin so it will become possible to use it for daily living.

Who here uses Bitcoin daily or lives on the financial crypto market?

I don't, but I used to pay bills(electric bills and such) using bitcoin(I don't pay it directly to the company. I'm using an app and the app will automatically convert the bitcoin into fiat when I pay using bitcoin).

I personally use Bitcoin wherever I possibly can, and accept it directly without converting it to fiat immediately. I have been using Bitcoin daily for years. (Ever since Bitpay started improving its Bitcoin debitcard product)

a lot of people would love to use bitcoin daily(including me) but there still a lot of things that have to be done for it to be feasible for daily use. For me right now using bitcoin as a payment
for bills(like I mentioned earlier) is the most convenient and practical way to use it.

Who here uses Bitcoin daily or lives on the financial crypto market?

For few years, Bitcoin has been part of almost my daily routine, since I am earning some from trading and from joining signature campaigns, I use this to finance my monthly expenses such as paying my utility bills, telephone , internet, electricity, credit cards and I am saving some of it to pay the tuition fee of my 2 kids as their education and security is so important for me as a parent, so even though they are at young age, I am giving them the best education for their future.

this sounds very interesting if we use bitcoin to trade every day, but at this time I think bitcoin cannot be used as a living solution for daily needs and unfortunately in my country for now the government has not yet formalized bitcoin to be used in public places, even though in my country is a little difficult to use bitcoin but I also use it for a number of needs such as to buy household appliances through online only.

It would be very hard to do so, to live on BTC you'll have 2 main conditions

- You'll need a decent sum of BTC to be able to pay for everything or a source of income that pays you in crypto-currencies.
- You will also need to be able to find stores for food/water, transport, recreation activities, and real estate options that are able to be payable in BTC, or at least accept gift cards (which are usually able to be bought for with BTC).

Right now, this very hard to do, unless you live in a country with fairly high adoption rates (eg, Singapore).

Who here uses Bitcoin daily or lives on the financial crypto market?

Well, honestly I used bitcoin as a payment for my monthly bills (internet, electricity and water) but not in  daily used basis. However if I wanna spend my btc everyday, I can but I don't want to.
  • Fees are higher
  • transactions are slow.
I am open for an opportunity that I can use it daily but those two things  will always be the hindrance on using it.

In fulfill my daily needs, I am very dependent on my income from bitcoin. Therefore I always hard work in earning bitcoin
every day, such as following signature campaigns, trading, and sometimes following IEO projects too. But since in my country
I can't directly buy goods with bitcoin, therefore exchanges are needed to convert bitcoin into fiat. After that I can buy everything
the need for it my daily life. I am really very helped by the presence of bitcoin, because it can solve my financial needs.

It would be nice earning Bitcoin every day and use it in your daily lives! You were one of those people who contribute to the awareness of using Bitcoin and makes it stable in the crypto world. As for me, there's no chance to use it as my place is a non-crypto friendly location and I don't earn Bitcoin too. I can only contribute to saving Bitcoin using fiat and holding them as I can.

Unfortunately, there's no way for me to use Bitcoin daily and even if there was I doubt I'd do it. It's not because I don't want to spread awareness, I do! The main reason is I earn fiat and Bitcoin every month and I spend fiat first because it doesn't gain value and is more convenient to use for daily needs. Converting Bitcoin could mean taxes and I don't feel like paying them unless there's no other choice. There's also very little stores where I can spend. Even gift cards mean you're indirectly converting to fiat. There's almost no businesses that will take your crypto without the use of a payment processor.

I do use bitcoin at some point but not really a day to day basis since it's still hard enough here in my country to use it for daily living. We're still lacking in many points, adoption, merchants, and such. First, I don't use bitcoin when I have to buy things with only small value things. Second, just like what I have said, most businesses here don't accept bitcoin. It's a rare to find one.
To be honest, it's more convenient to use fiat because everyone are using it. That's why we still need more adoption
