Okay, I deposited $17 into my wallet. It's 2/3 (Pending)
Before I order the card I have a few questions Smiley
1: How do I add PayPal funds to the card? I know you need to add it via Bank or something but I'm not sure how.
2: How long is shipping to Australia via standard delivery?
3: Suppose I don't have a phone, (broken) what would I do?
Thanks.

Hello,

1. As was mentioned before (most probably correctly), you cannot withdraw money from PayPal to MasterCard. And at the moment we offer MasterCard only. I hope we would be able to add Visa virtual cards back soon.
As for how exactly, I believe PayPal users will help with that (I am not acquainted with the interface or withdrawal procedure).

2. it takes 2-8 weeks. By selecting standard delivery option we also assume you take on the risk of possibility the card is lost or delayed.

3. You can just specify any phone number (fake one) as it is not really used much. Especially if you do not care about getting SMS notifications.

Just wanted to say I honestly find that very hard to believe, if for no other reason than there seems to be only a handful of people in this thread who have confirmed owning a card and we are the only one's reporting the issues we've (all) been encountering.

Hello @davinchi,
I am sorry I am not sure what issue you are referring to.

In the thread you are quoted we discussed the free promo card. Do you have any issues with getting it? Or you are concerned that the winners are not some one from this forum?

Please clarify a bit.

Yes, he must not sharing any concerns about the winners but the general issues people do report on bitcoin debit cards. But I too do not think of any off topic with respect to topic of this thread.

With a freedom of speech, everybody can demand the quality of services for their own or for others too. Even in the promo cards, there need to be quality of services must be maintained. So, emphasizing for other's issue is the way this community should work for a better bitcoin environments.

You are funny, freedom of speech even in the US applies to goverment, and not private entities / companies. Even i across the world know that, not to mention even if it did apply none of the companies here are registered in US. Even here in bitcointalk forums your freedom of speech can be moderated to oblivion and you could not do anything about it.
No offense but i had to.

@Omega
If I have a Visa card (reloadable), how would I withdraw money from PayPal to it?
I never really figured that part out
thanks :-)

@traderbit
I don't like email, I think I'll wait here in case anyone comes
Thanks for the faq link, looks like I'll need to make $33 for expedite :/

If the E-coin Visa card is linked to your account then you should be able to withdraw without issues .
there is a "Withdraw money" button on Paypal that lets you do that , For my case , It withdraw automatically at the 1st of each month.

I can answer for the first question here , If you have MasterCard I don't think it's possible to send the funds from Paypal to the card , however If you have Visa card you can send the funds like I do .
As far as I know new users can't get Visa card (only MasterCard) so unless you have an old account you can't do that .

I preferred bitcoin debit card to use my the fees are making me to hesitate about going for it.
Because, for example we have to pay monthly SMS notification fee about $1 every month when you use the card. Even SMS also not free unlike what is the trend in my country....

this is the monthly maintenance fee, which includes sms notifications. If you are not using your card and its balance is 0, there is no monthly charge.
this is not a charge made by E-Coin, but the bank's charge, not much we can do about it

hi

i was transfer some of my BTC to my e-coin account ( 54$ in BTC ) bcz someone tried to hack my wallet in blockchain

than i load my card (USD visa ) with 19,83 $ than 20$ let say  40 $

but i check my account today i found 0,00000000 BTC  !!!
so 54$ - 40$ = 0$ ??

Please send an email to [email protected]. I do not have information about your account on forum and cannot check anything. There might have been just a glitch in the system, but maybe something more serious.
I will await for your email (or you can send me your E-Coin login in private messages).

second question please

i was win in the first contest ( usd card visa)
than i buy EURO card  ( visa )
than in the last contest i claim my GBP card for free ( mastercard )

i receive another email to claim a virtual card again as i'm winner in contest " 13 - 01 - 2016 "
thats mean i win twice ??!
however i didnt expect to win free virtual card
i refer many people via my ref link ( u can check how many refs i have about 200 refs )
i assist them and i answer all their questions in my native language ( arabic )
i expect to win at least 3 rd place  Tongue Tongue

Well, it might be that the promo email arrived to you twice. We made two waves of mailing for our Promo participants. The first was earlier in January. The second was for those, who did not get the first email (around Jan, 13).
As for the prices, I cannot tell exactly how winners were chosen, but I am sure it was pretty random.

And thank you for referring us! We do appreciate this much!

Do you really have to spam the topic before you actually contact support. They are using multisig, bitcoin fell in value last few days are you sure the face value you remember did not change.

Hi All,

We have received an official answer from the bank about our cards' monthly fee. It is taken every month when you have positive balance, no matter whether you made some transactions or not. You cannot have negative balance, so if you have balance 0 or less than 1, the fee is skipped.
And you will not be charged later when you top up your card for "feeless" months.

I guess, we will try to negotiate with them older conditions (when you paid the fee only if there was some activity during the month), however at the moment it is like that.
Well again it's not bad if you do not have any balance, but can user skip the fees in this way by withdrawing all the amount and after every 1st of the month sending back the money?

I thought about this as well. However, did not have a chance to test it yet. My suggestion the "feeless" months will not be charged, because I saw client's card which were empty for few months after they ordered it, and once they loaded the card the next month fee was regular $1. I will try to test this to be sure (only not this month unfortunately).

Also, the fee is taken not on the 1st day of the month, but around the date your ordered the card. E.g. you ordered the card on Oct 9 - then fee will be unloaded every 8th, 9th or 10th day of the month.

Info for those who are wondering, you can withdraw paypal balance to e-coin card. It did require me to ring paypal to allow such transfer even tho the card verified correctly.
Also the card when added in paypal is denominated in GIP, you must ask paypal to manually change the card currency to the EUR/GBP/USD of your card in order to avoid extra fx fees.
@Wirex do you know when are we going to be able to purchase BTC using our card balance?

Hi,

We are doing our latest test (so everything is smooth and no bugs). I hope we will be able to launch it within next month or so. Though support did not get any solid date yet, so it might be later a bit. Once I get it, I will post it here.

And thank you for checking PayPal. I did not know it is possible to change GIP, now would recommend this to our clients (as the fee can be pretty stressful).

Regarding my previous post, I have to say that after 3 days the things are back to normal (except the "max amount" option doesn't work)

the reason the "max amount" option may sometimes not work is the fluctuating blockchain fee. We "freeze" the BTC exchange rate for you when you are loading the card with BTC, but with transfers to other BTC wallets/addresses, the blockchain fee may change between the moments where you hit the "max amount" button and the moment of actual transfer transaction. An easy way to go around this is slightly reduce the amount just before clicking "confirm".

And surely there is no reason to shout about any "possible scam" without getting to the core of any issue. Thank you for understanding

They could be out of fiat, need to sell btc , or need to load their own balance to disperse funds, i know they limited loading to 250 a day recently they were probably doing that lacking fiat.
Anyway lack of information creates panic, i sent a pm to Gosha and Wirex to come to the thread and explain what is happening.

Guys, there is no need to panic, and especially spread the panic. Thank you, @Kaostechno, for being constructive. Indeed, if ever the card loading service is not working, it is due to issues / delays with account settlements on the bank's end. We are continuously working with our bank to minimize such interruptions, yet, like any new service, there are imperfections.

If ever anyone is experiencing problems, the quickest way to get them resolved is to write to [email protected], rather than try to create a tempest in a teapot

I will definitely share your feedback with our management, however at the moment we are not planning to offer Visa again. Perhaps, we will be able to manage and have them both, but it is not clear yet.

The reason why we switched to MasterCard is because they agreed on our design, while Visa did not.

well, i totally agree with you , the design its very important to look like professional service
but
the design its not important for virtual visa card bcz you will not shipping to me u only send me details of card  so the design dosnt matter here

the only thing that made you special and different from others bcz u offer visa bcz that e-coin get popular

u can offer visa and mastercard both and members can choose if they buy visa or mastercard
or you can offer virtual visa card if u really interested in design

i only know one thing specially members from Arabic nations they will leave e-coin if u stop offer visa specially virtual

finally thanks for sharing my feedback with ur management

Radhwane
Regards!

many thanks for your feedback. We are considering to continue/resume offering virtual Visa cards. Can't give any solid promises yet, but we are looking into the possibities
