I agree with your opinion that I know for now not a taxi company in my country that received payment using bitcoin, maybe in the future it will be able to use bitcoin to pay taxi

I've read articles about it and a lot of taxi drivers and uber drivers would want to accept bitcoin as payment, i think some taxi in Europe already accept bitcoin, not sure how it works though.

Nowadays It is really hard for us users to pay bitcoin for such services (small time services) because the current fees are getting ridiculous. You might be able to pay higher fees than your actual charge for the taxi do we like that? of course not.
There is an altcoin that does this. Or at least has this idea. I saw it in someone's signature today it's called taxi coin or something. I'd they can get it right it would be a great idea paying crypto for a taxi ride. I would not use it but other wouldn't. Maybe buy coins to make a profit if the taxis so well.

Well i dont think that can be possible, the only way is that in a near future we could pay taxi with any other tokens specially made for paying that type of services.
but paying with bitcoin? no way, fees are probably more than a half of the taxi price. Here in my country, a normal taxi is worth $3, and minimun bitcoin fees are over $6.
So if we have tokens for taxi and an app that accept those, and people who agrees to be payed with that payment gateway, then it would happen, for sure.

That would be a great idea if you really could pay taxi, uber, and buses with bitcoin worldwide. This will be a less hassle for us commuters and the transaction will improve too.

It's easy to set up and works really fast with good rate and good level of privacy. But is not the best choice, because you are tracked in your expense, and some one could find your principal wallet/other wallets, and see how you spend your money.

In some big cities like milano you can pay sometimes DIRECTLY to taxi drivers (because btc have a good hype also here).
Even if you go abroad you can use your btc with a credit card. Just choose a taxi that accept credit card.
There are some users that offers free discount for uber rides if you pay btc.
So right now it's full of offers for spends btc, and If we can't do directly is not anymore a problem because more companies are getting into this new technology.
I think the taxi business will still be problematic if the bitcoin price drops so deeply that it will result in losses for the taxi company, not to mention if the pending transaction confirmation is longer in accordance with the payment amount for each route.
This is the reason why uber has not dared to apply it in general besides state regulations that still have not allowed it.

that would be a great idea. it is easier to pay with bitcoins without worrying about paper currency, especially in other countries.
Currently, Bitcoin cannot support such low payments, the average transaction fees for a $10-$20 are approximately $1.5-2. It's way too much for daily usage.
Aside from that, If the fare is 4 dollars then the transaction fees is 1 to 2 dollars that wouldn't be good anyway. Though, it is sounds good to hear but there is a leak disadvantages that I saw. But if they can find a way to plan this, why not

It would really be nice if we can pay bitcoin for any taxi ride as it will be more convenient especially when you are short in cash but you are definitely right, due to the high transaction you would have to pay a certain amount for the transaction which is higher than the amount that you have to pay for a ride unless but here in my country there will be no problem with the transaction fees if we are using the same online wallet service provider .

I think it will make sense to many people that bitcoin will trade in taxi. Many people are consider consumers and they usually a transport vehicle like taxi so they can easily go somewhere they want to go.

I definitely agree with you brother. I would like to see that happening in real life. That will only happen if BTC gets mass-adopted by the larger portion of our population. It could be far-off for now but it could definitely happen. Also, as stated by the above post regarding the high transaction fees paid to the network, it is indeed not practical to pay your taxi using BTC accompanied by high fees. Hopefully, this problem will also be solved in the coming months.

Yes that would be awesome if that happens. Easy payments will be on our way and also the taxi drivers will not give change tp the passenger that is a very hassle work. Bitcoins just need tp be scanned and you will enter the exact amount of your bill. It is just like a credit card but in a mobile device. And it can enables taxi drivers to have investment because we all know thay bitcoins is a great investment for their value always rises from time to time.

Uber is not accepting bitcoin for payments. You;re mistakenly thinking about the tipping application.
Also int e past they have denied a few times they are planning on introducing BTC payments.
I don't agree much out of this idea for maybe because I won't be giving my bitcoin that easy. Cashing it out might be more practical and maybe a must. For bitcoin price changes in second how would we pay in fix if the value is increasing or the other way around do we pay much bigger when the value of bitcoin decreases. That's one of the problem.

You pay with cash knowing that cash has a certain value. But what if you payed with bitcoins that you bought with the cash you were holding for the taxi fare?
Just holding like a mad bear to his honey bottle to your BTC won't make more business accepting bitcoin won't increase bitcoin usage , won't increase bitcoin price.
