Wow, just wow. We all knew the problems would come, we all expected it. But even I thought that it was premeditated, that the problems gave the delays necessary for the devs to keep on mining. I actually thought they were going to properly launch and fix all their problems so they could continue shaving the community for money.

And then this happens. Actual proof that the devs are so incompetent.

Warning to forkers: this is the reason Bitcoin core is respected and when they think something is not safe or ready, you better be sure they know what they are talking about.

If it helps any, this list of addnodes finally got my wallet to start syncing.  Basically the top 200 from btgblocks.com/network:

If you don't know what you're doing, just use Settings -> Open Configuration File (button at the bottom) and paste it in

LOL this launch is the biggest fustercluck I've seen in a long time

It's bad enough on its own, but toss in these 1,000's ppl who want their 0.05BTG "AIRDROP NOW", I guess they all need the money so they can trade shit-coins on yobit.net, lets see 0.05 BTC ( avg held by bitcoin address holders ), that be $300, but $10 in BTG at todays price and they want to sell.

Please explain the urgency to get $10?? I really want to know??

The entire infrastructure of BTG doesn't work, cuz nobody cared to set it up, the BTG-DEV team got their pre-mine and skipped town, and the 'air drop refugees' ain't much different, once they get their $10, probably $5 tomorrow, they're gone.

OK, $10 buys you 20,000 BITCOIN-Z, hell that's day trading at its best Smiley

Can't anybody here rob their little brothers piggy bank??

Just wait a few days to get the BTG problems resolved.

@ bitfools, are you normal? You don't have to turn us blind to make your point, I almost quoted you but realized it will make the page difficult to read.

not normal, majority here are bots, then minority post on mobile phone, that make me abnormal

Please enlighten me on how to spot a bot message? I would seriously like to know.... Thx in advance!

Handled it manually using some scripts I have but you can also use the cli createrawtransaction and signtransaction. Do not reccommend this course of action though obviously...

Ok.  I was aware of this option but it's a bit too advanced for me and I was wondering if you'd sussed some more fool-proof method.  Thank you for sharing.

Have a 7.5095 BTG tip. Smiley

Oh no... Figured out how to move by segwit address coins. But converted bitcoins to satoshis incorrectly and lost 90% to a mining fee. If there is any benevolent miner out there please, please, please return the coins to the address the remainder was sent to.

This is the transaction: https://btgexp.com/tx/a28063a818cb7acb66679427d5c71c82e71419e1fb258acaa7a7ed6617d17834

Intended destination is that address in the transaction: GWiXeStRsUBRzRM3iRLkK7tjWcwaATyZmo

Anyone know who mined that block so I can message them maybe? Please

Oops. Sad

I'm curious.  How did you handle your SegWit address?  I noticed your Bitcoin Gold address begins with an "A", is this related?  All the premined coins seem to have gone to addresses beginning with an "A", are they also AnyoneCanSpend outputs?
