Bitcoins' legality depends on the government of the country. Some of the countries have supported bitcoin where bitcoin is completely legal there and oppositely there are some of the countries that have not been supporting cryptocurrency are the countries where bitcoin is illegal. But nowadays more countries have started implementing cryptocurrency to a better ecosystem.

In my place bitcoin doesn't have any official status yet.
Everything which is not illegal seemed legal, right? That's my current position.
I do not use this crypto for payments here, but all online services works fine.

most of what you experience with bitcoin seems almost to occur in most developing countries. does not prohibit any transaction but is not permitted as a legitimate payment transaction tool. it still takes time to be able to adapt to the development of advanced crypto.

Legal or not Bitcoin.
Depending on the state regulations that are used there are some countries that legalize and not.
As in my country, bitcoin is not legalized for banking transactions. but may be used as long as it is not for local sales and purchases in my country

At the present time Bitcoin is not yet recognized in some countries, but there are still countries that allow it but are not widely available.
In my country it's already recognize, but speaking of adoption, the adoption is still very low.
I would be happy if bitcoin will be acceptable in stores and shops in our country but now, it's not happening yet, but I'm really optimistic in the long run there will be good progress as I know this is a better payment method compared to what is popular now which is centralized.

I think Bitcoin is not legit in some countries but in some countries, Bitcoin is legit and use for all purchases. Also, there are lots of legit Bitcoin mining website and with the help of that website, you can earn free bitcoin. There is some legit website like Multimining.website. In countries like U.S.A, Canada, Australia, China and Russia you can purchase any product with the help of Bitcoin.
That's right what you say, that legitimate bitcoin is based on that country in regulating bitcoin. because many countries have advanced and legalized bitcoin and can be used as legitimate transactions. but not a few countries still have not accepted and prohibited as legitimate transactions. so that you do not become confused you better enter the forum in your country and can ask there about bitcoin and the policies that have been made.

Whether bitcoin is legal or not depends on your jurisdiction.

While some countries like Finland, Cyprus or Australia are really open to Bitcoin, some other countries like Vietnam, China or Columbia are totally against them.

There is very interesting article about this topic. Check it here:

As far as I know, Bangladesh is reckoned to be hostile to bitcoin as well

I think that every country will not be the same and have its own ways that might be different, because in any case the priority of the interests of a country's authority is determined by themselves to be able to accept and determine bitcoin.

For me it's legal, that's my observation on most countries that are regulating it and legalizing it.
In our country bitcoin is legal, I should know because my bank is crypto friendly as they partner with our local exchange to give an ease in crypto transaction.
Not all banks are crypto friendly . Bitcoin/cryptos might be already legal on your country and the govt's already accepted and legalize it but still not all banks are going  to show their support because some banks still thinks that bitcoin is not good for thier business since we all know that bitcoin is also a currency and can also be a store of value better than banks  and better than a local currency.

The legality or illegality of Bitcoin is very simple to decipher. To countries that find the use or mining of Bitcoin offensive and banned it, it's illegal but to countries which haven't made any incriminating statement banning Bitcoin it isn't illegal. Let's take my country for example, the government is playing dumb and acting like it doesn't know about the existence of Bitcoin after alerting the citizenry of the risk of investing in it in 2016 but didn't outlaw it. What that meant was that the citizens could invest and trade it but at their own risk. It isn't illegal with this. It's been three years since then and those in my country are reaping the dividends of Bitcoin.

In some countries, for example, in Japan, cryptocurrency is recognized as a financial asset. At the same time, electronic money is not considered legal tender, but is considered as a means of exchange.
What you say does happen at this time, many policies of a country do it differently. some legitimize crypto to be used as a tool for transactions, some also do not recognize it as a legitimate payment instrument, but may only be a means of exchange, and some do not recognize it at all. stay back to each country treats.

I am new to crypto currency and I don't know the Bitcoin is legal or not plse help me
Well, look how your country refers to the cryptocurrency, in some countries it is prohibited, about my I can say I live in Belarus and it is allowed just do not need to pay taxes until 2021

Try to make a research first if your government allows buying and selling cryptocurrencies. If there are bitcoin exchanges operating in your locality and stores that accept bitcoin as method of payment then cryptocurrencies are allowed in your country. Some countries did not legalized or banned bitcoin but their citizens are still free to use it in any transactions. The legality of bitcoin depends on which country you currently residing and as of now, there are only few countries that banned cryptocurrencies.

Few countries only gave legal ban for using bitcoin but others are really open to the market or stay unknown about it clearly. So most of the countries left it in the hand of users, if they believe that bitcoin have worth they can use it.
If they are converting it for fiat cash that time some mentioned charges are there need to pay as taxation as per your government's law. So before use BTC you may need to sneak more about that.  Wink
