Both bitcoin and altcoins have potential to increase value in the future, but for now bitcoin is more aggressively in terms to increasing price in the market. But I was not lose hope that someday both of this are straight growing up. Maybe a little bit more time and bitcoin adopted altcoins to become more expensive.
I really would not be so sure on that yet. In few months now, Bitcoin has really increased hugely more than any coin and it has been consistently stable without keep going up and testing back on the same support over and over again like some of the altcoins have.

Do you know how long ETH has been rallying for a while now without much movement upward and when you though it has tested that ATH, it comes right back down and finds it hard to break even a lower resistance.

Divide your portfolio between both Bitcoin and Altcoins, no need to just pick one  Cool

Personally I'd say go with 50% or so BTC, 20% ETH, another 20% in the top 10 tech techs, and the remaining 10% to play around with as you see fit on some undervalued projects you've researched.
Doing the division is one of the best ways because then you will get security when you choose the wrong investment, you can get profit in other investment. I quite agree when you say that Bitcoin is the biggest priority in investing, now the Bitcoin price movement is so good and that is a good capital in choosing Bitcoin as an Investment.

Especially now we enter the end of the year, because it sees the trend then usually at the end of the year will be an increase in the price of digital currency, especially the Bitcoin. I also chose Bitcoin and I have been getting a lot of benefits because of investing in Bitcoin.

That is the million dollar question; when to invest? When to buy? When to sell?

Crypto will always be a game of chance, with a significant risk.

The only way to be successful is to read, study, devote a daily time slot to follow the trends. Unless you are very lucky, there is no other way.

Definitely, it doesn't matter if its a good coin, or a shit coins it will still depend on your technical analysis skill and strategy, yeah trading is a lot of fun reading the charts because by this you can easily notice when to enter the market and when to exit right. Holding on good coins is pretty ok but if you can do more further please do so, because there's still a big opportunity here in the world of crypto, explore it.

I prefer Bitcoin to Altcoin because Bitcoin is the mother of all coins and the price is very reliable Wink

I would prefer both but i will give many value to bitcoin. Because i believe that bitcoin is increasing more than other coins. As compare bitcoin to another altcoins. Bitcoin is most successful crypto currency which can change people life. While from other you can just wish. But there is only coin in altcoin which is ETH which is quite best. We are hoping from ETH as well.

In my opinion people should diversify and some money should be "locked" in bitcoin, and then take some alts useful with their specialisation and dedicated team. Even tho it's still risky, but if you think about your steps and you are carefully picking your coin, you can minimise the probability of being "robbed". DYOR, trust and a bit of luck is required for your success sooner or later.

For the long term the only viable option is a PoS coin. Holding BTC might be a good bet but the number of coins will remain the same over time. Holding PoS assets can be very profitable taking into account that as long as you fulfill the minting conditions, your assets will grow over time.

PoS coins are the future, therefore they are the best long term investment.

Bitcoin is a longterm investment. I prefer to keep bitcoin rather than altcoin. Because risk of losses to be experienced is lower.

I would invest in both bitcoin and altcoins if i have the money on a 20:80 ratio. Bitcoin is so expensive now while there are altcoins which are good to invest to. I just need to choose from among the strong altcoins which really will give the earnings.
I think you must review your idea of investments. Try to increase the amount in bitcoin area because the profit ratio that bitcoin is giving to its users, it is far more than that of altcoins. Altcoins are better source of income too, so one should have hands dipped in both altcoins and bitcoins. But make your major portion in bitcoins so that your life can be easily changed.

I am sure everyone is aware about the rise of altcoins like ETH and Litecoin so I just want to know expert's opinion whether to invest in bitcoin or altcoins as the price of bitcoin is too high now for an individual to invest into it ? Do you think these altcoins will survive and pump just like bitcoin or its better to stick to bitcoin ?
Bitcoin always kept its dominance in total market capitalization over altcoins in past years, ranging from stunning 95% to a bottom low of 37%.  So even though Bitcoin price is too high you must be wise enough that you should invest still in bitcoin. We already know that altcoins
are created to improve and diversify the bitcoin concept. Investing in altcoin is also good because it has a chance to pump just like btc. Better to invest in both parties because they have common behavior of volatility.

Diversifying is the best option, I think an 65% of holdings in bitcoin and the rest in the top 10 altcoins could be a good strategy with small 100$ picks in new coins just in case.
The higher multiplier is easily got with the new cheap coins, but also those are the most likely to make you lose all your investment.

I totally agree with the idea of diversification but I don't think the higher potential is in the new, cheap coins. There's just too much risk there.

To diversify, expand your portfolio to include some old, reliable, well established coin with a dev team still supporting it and with a clear vision for the future.
Yes there is a higher risk in the new and cheap coins that your investment will become loss but there is also a higher chance to gain a big profit if the developer team become serious in the project that's why it is important to research first before you enter at the market and hold a coin.
Diversification is good because it increases chances for making good money in the crypto market but diversification does not mean you should invest in every other coin which appears attractive. You need to be very careful with your money and should not get easily trapped by so called profitable projects. In short, as you said invest in those coins which are prominent ones in the crypto market for decent income.

You are right if you want to minimise the risk of losing one inversion, but I think that a new coin can make a higher multiplier than an old one. Anyhow you must research about any coin you invest in, of course.

You have explained complete game in few sentences. There is no doubt that crypto market is unstable and is all the time fluctuating which clearly indicates that you need to choose the best time for every move you make. If you are trying to sell off your coin, wait until the coin touches maximum value and vice versa. Indeed, the more knowledge you have, more successful you are with coins.

Well it really depends on you, and how do you plan on getting the money, if we are talking about trading I would recommended trading altcoins because their prices change quite freakently, so you will find a time to buy and sell easily, and trading multiple ones will surely get you profit, as for saving everyone will tell you to go with bitcoin, especially after how much some were able to get nearly 1700% profit just from saving it, in my opinion bitcoin trading is really hard since the price is constantly rising so when you sell you won't be able to debut again.

This time not good for investment Bitcoin.Bitcoin price now very high.so we can invest altcoin .I start invest in altcoin.
This is nice idea. Don’t leave bitcoins but if you don’t have any bitcoin with you right now and you want to get some, this is not good time. Prices are so much high and you will not be getting much profits from it. So better is to shift to any other altcoin, buy them as they are cheap now. Invest in them and sell them when prices of bitcoins will be low, trade altcoins for bitcoins then.

I would invest in both bitcoin and altcoin. Bitcoin is still a good investment because although it rise up so much, there is still a potential that it will go up more because in terms of investors, there are still so many people who doesn't know about it and those who know but didn't invest will eventually invest if bitcoin would continue to attract more attention and then continue to rise. Any one who don't have an idea about cryptocurrency will know first about bitcoin and if he decided to invest then it would be the first one he would buy.

For the altcoin, there are many altcoins that has potential. Even the litecoin and ethereum has still room for growth. There is a recent rally in both coins and many are still positive for it to rise up. Neo, the Chinese version of Ethereum has a lot of incoming developments. Just focus on altcoins that has active developers and those who followed their roadmap because eventually the time for those altcoins would come.

If you want a quick money choose altcoins but its never been easy to identify the most reliable sources. Another one to bitcoin if you want a large sum of money then it is the right thing for you. Again bitcoin takes it time to grow your funds as well as the other users.
