I agree with some of the members mentioning that the market cap of bitcoin is already very huge. If you are looking for coins that can store value, bitcoin is a good choice I think, but if you are looking for coins that could bring you remarkable profit, I suggest you make your investment in some altcoins that are currently with low market cap and maximum supply. Even if their market cap only reaches 1/10 that of bitcoin in the future, you will earn a lot
Altcoin is growing, which will later reach a high level as it is for bitcoin, hence, altcoin is better
I am sure everyone is aware about the rise of altcoins like ETH and Litecoin so I just want to know expert's opinion whether to invest in bitcoin or altcoins as the price of bitcoin is too high now for an individual to invest into it ? Do you think these altcoins will survive and pump just like bitcoin or its better to stick to bitcoin ?

I will share my opinion on this. Etherium and litecoin not pump and dump coin. It can be low next but not badly. So keep holding those altcoin is not bad decision.
ethereum and litecoin will increase soon and when bitcoin price is going down, this coin has the chance to back the increase. many people waiting for this coin increase back and I am sure that they still hold a large amount of this coin. but for now, I think these coin will stay like this and maybe in the next year, these coin will back increase.

I will share my opinion on this. Etherium and litecoin not pump and dump coin. It can be low next but not badly. So keep holding those altcoin is not bad decision.

Yes, bitcoin is very expensive but very flexible.
However, bitcoins can be purchased at flexible prices, such as Satoshi or M Satoshi.
As bitcoin got more expensive of today's price updates, we will be able to grab more possibilities of holding bitcoin amounts, so it's better to sell your higher value alts to bitcoin exchange and store it in your wallet so you could sell in the future huge bitcoin price increase. For me it's good to hold both altcoin and bitcoin, but you should be more careful because altcoins is more volatile than bitcoin so have a close monitoring over it.

Yes, bitcoin is very expensive but very flexible.

Bitcoin still can go up in the future, but now people are considering in putting their money in alt, bitcoin high fees has drove a lot of users to used alt coin, for me bitcoin still a good coin to make profit, but alt is making more money for me, maybe you can split your investment and start to put some in alt coin
In my opinion, Bitcoin will continue to gain in importance in 2018 as well. However, if transaction times and fees are far inferior to other old coins, it will still be a kind of reserve currency. However, the market cap ratio will shift in favor of some interesting Altcoins.
If you are an investor choose Bitcoin better. But if you are an active cryptouser no bitcoins with its long expensive fees
Bitcoin is for the people who have alot of money to invest. But with Bitcoin you cant make any big jumps. But with Altcoins you can do. Example: I buyed VXG last week for 50sats, now its worth 1900. Thats 18x higher. Bitcoin dont will rise 18x.
Where have you been? Bitcoin grew that much this year, if you invested in bitcoin at the beginning of the year and sold at the top you could have got 18x now it is almost impossible that is going to happen again since the market cap is huge but you are wrong in your assertion.

Seems to be no loss invest in bitcoin or altcoin. Both equally provide good benefits. However, we need to remember cryptocurrency is led by bitcoin. So, bitcoin is our ultimate goal in investing. While altcoin we use to increase amount of investment.
this will depend to the usefulness of the token. Take for example the ETH which is a platform and also serve as fuel to the token within the platform. The demand of ETH for GAS fuels the price to rise among the altcoins. It beats the bitcoin forks which proves how altcoin can be a lot better to hold when you have the chance to acquire thousands than holding just 1 or 2 BTC.
You can still invest in bitcoin because it is not too late to invest in bitcoin at this moment. Bitcoin price are now going back slightly increasing. But no problem if you can invest to altcoin too and then hold it for long term for sure that you can gain more profit.
In my opinion people should diversify and some money should be "locked" in bitcoin, and then take some alts useful with their specialisation and dedicated team. Even tho it's still risky, but if you think about your steps and you are carefully picking your coin, you can minimise the probability of being "robbed". DYOR, trust and a bit of luck is required for your success sooner or later.
There is a huge difference between the outcomes generated by bitcoin and altcoins. Altcoins are toddlers of the crypto kingdom whereas bitcoin is the king and you should invest into them accordingly. I am pretty convinced by last few pumps in bitcoin value that it is the best option among all kind of investments for making large money. So do increase your investments here if you want bright future.
Best choice would be investing into bitcoin and altcoin. Altcoin prices are connected to bitcoins, and that means when bitcoins rises also will altcoins. I would always suggest to invest into ethereum, because it is strong and reliable crypto with really good price. Bitcoin is best option, but because of its high price some people do not invest in it. So for those who want to invest smaller sum of money, good choice would be ethereum or some other altcoin.

It is better if you will put your money in bitcoin than in altcoins. Most of altcoins are shitcoins so we can avoid loss if we will invest our money in bitcoin than altcoins. Bitcoin is the most profitable coin in the cryptocurrency so my advise for you is to buy now bitcoins. Its better and safer to stick with bitcoins, I use alts just to trade with them and earn more bitcoins. I hold until I reach the profit, I have no intentions to hold alts for more than that. For me bitcoins are future, alts are just a side thing that is making crypto world more interesting and gives us a chance to multiply our bitcoins, I don't see many alts surviving the future, some od them are OK and its food to earn with them but bitcoin is number one for me and will always stay.
The surprising value of bitcoin makes it difficult for us to invest, maybe altcoin can be a solution, investing in altcoin is the right choice, but if you buy bitcoin now, you may be surprised for a few more months, as bitcoin values will go up 
Even though the bitcoin value is up, but who is saying to buy a whole full bitcoin. You can buy any portion of bitcoin according to your budget and in return can get more profits than in altcoins investment. Bitcoin value moves a lot faster than altcoins and you can easily convert your quick earned profitable bitcoins into cash whenever you need money.

For me it's better to invest your money to both Bitcoin and Altcoins. Putting all your eggs in one basket will be risky for the investors that might incurred loss. You may invest in Bitcoin and hold it for a long term as we know the trend of price is really high from early this year 2017 until now. Also, Altcoins are good for a short term period, from the time of price hike that's the time to sell it then buy again another coins with a lower price but you should be updated in news so that you will know what coins will perfom in the future. Both Bitcoin and Altcoins are good it only depends in your goals and plans in trading.
I would invest in both so you can hedge one against the other, if one is down, maybe another might go up. I am not an expert to say the least but we are seeing a huge crash in the markets with over 200 billion has left the crypto currency market cap. Now if you have some fiat currency it is maybe the best time to buy both Bitcoin and some of the top altcoins. Things do not look veyr good for holders right now until maybe after the new year.
yep, Investing in both of them is all suitable. But I’ve seen many investors who choose bitcoin firstly cause its safer, then they use benefits from btc to invest additional Altcoins. If you have money, I think you should both two of them, it will help you easily gain profits. However ,you should control your emotion to easily accept risks because we can’t say for sure anything, sometimes both can go down.
