The cryptocurrency landscape is gradually taking a new turn and am loving it already. It's like the era of BTC dominance and dictation of other altcoins performance is gradually winding down.

TAO, KAS, BGB, TIA among other numerous altcoins are among those that have recorded ATH recently even as BTC struggle to hold up the $36,500 resistance.
Comparing Bitcoin with some new altcoins like that. Hmm, if it's for short gains, new altcoins are indeed a very promising field of profit. And indeed we found several new altcoins that experienced high pumps even during the bearish era, when Bitcoin's price was still falling. Meanwhile, the price of new altcoins, on the other hand, has skyrocketed so high that it can provide high profits in a short time.

but something is forgotten here. The increase in Bitcoin is not as high and significant as the new altcoins. However, the question is, can these new altcoins which have experienced a very significant increase maintain their prices and always exist in the market? not everyone can. In fact, most of them will pile up and then drop and become shit coins. Meanwhile, Bitcoin will continue to increase until it finally reaches a certain ATH point. and the Bitcoin cycle will return again. while altcoins that are unable to survive will become ashes. This means that if we lose the moment to take profits on these altcoins, on the new ones, then that means we might lose the moment and actually incur big losses. So, be careful with sharing types of hype coins like this if you can't take advantage of the right moment to take optimal profits.

First, this isn't all about Bitcoin so you should move the thread where it is appropriate which is the Altcoin Discussion.

As we look forward to the anticipated bullrun come 2024
What I and most are thinking is that the bull run will come by 2025 but 2024 is a great starter of it. Until we see it, that's what finally is for the date of its arrival.

what altcoins are you holding and why do you think they will bring more returns compared to others?
Why should I say what I am holding? I'll just put it this way that I've got a few alts, the top alts but I am not thinking that I'll make more from them than of Bitcoin.

I am still believing that my returns will be greater with Bitcoin.

Why isn't it about Bitcoin's

the title is BTC vs altcoin's

So it is at least 50% BTC and since BTC is more than 50% of the market cap I think 54-56% it is mostly about btc.

~snip~

I think the ATH for the coins you mentioned is only temporary, I have seen altcoins that started off very well but suddenly the price drops and the value is lost. Altcoins are very risky, they can make you a lot of money but they can also make you lose money in an instant. I don't have a good experience with altcoins because I often fail with altcoins, besides that altcoins are also prone to price manipulation by trading signal groups.

I don't hate altcoins but I need to be careful, I see altcoins also have potential but don't think about holding them for a long time, take the moment to make a profit and then leave. So far only Bitcoin has a stable value and perhaps the top 10 altcoins are still reliable

Bitcoin is for everyone whereas altcoins is for people who have got good knowledge about the market. Only then it is possible to buy/sell at the right moment and enjoy the benefits. Most of the time altcoins need to be considered for short term profiting as we can't be sure of the price progress same as bitcoin. Bitcoin being the king, it is followed by the rest. This means in the upcoming halving the price movement of altcoins will take place based on the movement of bitcoin.

The profits some traders are making from altcoin could be very attractive. But we have to also recognize that the altcoin business terrain is highly volatile. As a newcomer in the crypto space, I have not acquired the requisite knowledge to trade on these altcoins which is why I am only focusing on Bitcoin. A friend of mine just told me how he made some good money a few days ago on altcoins and I told him that I am not interested now because I want to move gradually from the known to the unknown.

Don't be carried away by the profits people make in altcoins because many people have also lost fortunes trading on them. The bull run also comes with an increase in scam projects, that is the reason why I am only concerned with the project I am sure of which is Bitcoin. But anybody who understands the altcoin sector and is willing to bear the risk is welcome to invest as he/she pleases.

Fortunately there is an ongoing event for new users on Bitget where there is  $10,000 prize pool in the latest Hotcoins season 5 edition.

Your title is saying bitcoin be altcoins and while what you're saying is more a about altcoins than bitcoin itself, and how should you be making a compare and contrast trick on bitcoin in relation to altcoins, those coins you see running like the speed of light can comes down at anytime and turn to nothing, many people have lost their asset at the cause of other related coins like them, but you can be assured nothing like this with bitcoin.

These are temporary fluctuations and wont hodl on for longer period of time and yeah I agree these have reached ATH when Bitcoin is stagnant between $35k and $38k, But that doesn't give these coins an upper hand as these are new altcoins an same thing happened with other established altcoins when they were new.

I would say the major difference between Altcoin and Bitcoin is one give quick returns with high risk while other give guaranteed return, one has sustained numerous challenges and roadblock while other is yet to be test at such level.

we cannot compare new altcoins with Bitcoin as it will lead us nowhere, But to further confusion and wrong decision making.

This TAO and KAS have quite potential for me because I have holdings in them. The first time I saw that TAO recently, it was around 75 dollars each. Now, around 215 dollars each, the price of what it raised is very high.

Then what I see that TAO can raise is from 1000$ each to 8000$ each. If TAO happens to be 1000$ before Bitcoin halving, that means it may reach 6000-8000$ each before the end of the bull run, while KAS can reach 5$ each until the end of the bull run.

I prefer sticking more to Bitcoin as a main currency for me and due to several reasons such as its popularity which translates to strength and a secure plan. Beside that, Bitcoin tends to keep its value against any market uncertainties and offering a more stable investment compared to altcoins on bad market days. While we also aware about the potential of altcoins for short term gains, I see them as more of a hit and run opportunity but too risky for holding so much.

The only time I decide selling part of my Bitcoin is when I need funds. In such cases I trade Bitcoin for stable coins like USDT known for their stability and safety compared to other centralized stable coins. Occasionally, I go for Litecoin especially for casino transactions due to lower fees compared to Bitcoin. So we really can't say that altcoins are worthless.
I also want to say that countries like El Salvador have announced Bitcoin as their main currency, indicating that Bitcoin is more secure and holds significant value more than any altcoin and also the thing that reinforce our belief in it.

If you want a bigger return in crypto, you have to invest in alts. There are lots who multiply it's price in just a couple of months. You have to do a screening since not all alts are good to invest. Avoid to good to be true projects or the projects that has the very low marketcap, it's so volatile and don't have enough strong support where if whales going sell their assets, it dumps so much. For safety investing without looking for instant big return, preferable to go with Bitcoin.

I think that you are new in the cryptospace and that is why you are thinking of altcoins and not bitcoin. For your information, altcoins are shitcoins are they are not worth to invest in because they will end up disappointing their investors. One thing that you should know is that looking for quick profit is what will make you run at big loss since altcoins were created to scam their victims. So I don't see any altcoin that i will be investing in but only bitcoin because after next year halving bitcoin price will hit a new ATH which makes it a great innovation.
Altcoins have the opportunity to attract new people in the crypto space because of their too good to be true offers that made this people to jump investing without doing initial research on the altcoins they are going to risk their money. Just like you OP, you are currently blinded with these altcoins because of their promising profits in the future. But if you have been investing in the crypto market for long, you will know that altcoins are just the scammers tool to scam the people, bitcoin is the only genuine investment in the market.

I'm not saying in general that altcoins are not worthy to invest as there are few altcoins who are highly established in the market and are certainly hard to break them. But still, they won't serve any guarantee that altcoins are better than bitcoin. Bitcoin is the lifeblood in the crypto market, that reason alone should be your eye opener not to fall on the trap of altcoins.

Most of the altcoins are useless and can be manipulated by the creators. On the other hand Bitcoin isn't manipulatable by its creator or someone else so in that simple sense Bitcoin is unique. I'm not a big fan of altcoins but sometimes I use to trade with those altcoins when I see some profitable moves as a trader but most of those altcoins are totally useless and someone who delves into altcoins without proper research or luck may lose a lot of money.

There are some good projects in the altcoins world but still those are risky as compare to Bitcoin, and I believe if someone wants to go with the route of altcoins then that user has to choose only few reputed altcoins that have been known to perform well for many years. New altcoins aren't good at all and investing in those coins is just like gambling, so it's always better to go with old and known altcoins instead of going with new altcoins.

That's your own views about altcoins, and I respect that. But if you are going to ask me, none of those coins would beat the potentials of bitcoin. Although its undeniable that some altcoins are still worth of our money and time, but it takes a lot of research and understanding these coins so you won't fall investing into shitcoins. Few have the potentials to succeed, but majority would certainly end as dead coins.

However, if you know to timing the market when you hold altcoins, you will still have the chances to make profits. Altcoins are good for short term investments, so you need to sell them before their prices dump and end up zero value. Unlike bitcoin, as long as you hold it patiently, you will gain secure profits in time even if you buy low and sell high.

Haha 😅
I don't think Bitcoin should be compared with alt coins. Bitcoin is the OG of the crypto space so if there be any important comparison I think it should be between alt coins only.
Altcoins are mainly suitable for trading not hodling.trading with altcoins also require experience and skills to avoid losses
Sometimes I could have no option than to laugh when I see people comparing Bitcoin with altcoins which is not supposed to be. Comparing new altcoins in the market that had not lasted upto to 10 years in the crypto market does not worth it. Bitcoin had been in existence for a very long time and even with the current height in network fee does not mean that they can be compared to Bitcoin. Bitcoin has much bigger influence in the market than many altcoins that had been mentioned here so we don't have to compare them at all. Bitcoin still have bigger role to pay in the market when the bull market comes.

Bitcoin vs Altcoins?
BTC or altcoin
Bitcoin vs. Altcoins

Those are some of the same threads with the same title, but with different descriptions. Cheesy

There are no altcoins to hold right now just hold BTC for a long time or at least until the bullishness really comes, If you are asking about altcoins that give returns then I don't know about that.

Bitcoin is King & most of the altcoins are absolute crap. Most altcoins have no utility, no future & no real world use case. Bitcoin is the only one that will last for the long term, Ethereum is potentially an OK buy but the rest of them are a total lottery. Why put your wealth in a centralised coin with so many points of failure. Bitcoin is the future of finance, we are going to the moon very soon.

As you can see, the price depends on the market such as it's demands and supply so if the demand and supply will become the same as the time BTC and altcoins reach new ATH then it will reach it again. You may be right that many crypto have different situations where some are still high compared to previous price meanwhile BTC for example is decreasing because the price may be manipulated where you can see that it didn't follow the route that BTC take. Well, Bitcoin is still number 1 even though you might see where some altcoins price didn't follow the changes of price in BTC.

This is how the market has always been. Bitcoin influences majority of altcoins, but they are very easily manipulated, so we get some outliers which do not follow the market direction that Bitcoin takes. Bitcoin dominance is not waning, neither does it matter much.

As we look forward to the anticipated bullrun come 2024, what altcoins are you holding and why do you think they will bring more returns compared to others?
None. They are too much of a wild gamble for me.
