Damn, casperBGD! Smart start with the nil-nil, and almost perfect score so far. Early games and I'm down 2 positions, can't seem to get a hold of Top 5, but I would never have gone 0-0 on Torino in any case.

Just wish Inter score had remained at half time so I would have taken the full 3 -- then again Monza should have scored even in 1st half so in hindsight 0-2 wasn't that great a pick.

and there goes a lousy round for me
didn't wanted to jinx Cagliari, although didn't expected Lecce to be stronger on this duel, so had for a home win, and we took point (pretty important) there
but Monza win over Frosinone is unexpected IMO, and Inter didn't kept clean sheet, enough for pretty much all red in my Superbru round
some games to go, maybe it will be better, although Fiorentina is already down against Sassuolo

It's funny that last season I performed well in all polls except Serie A, and this season I perform better in Serie A than in all other polls  Grin It would be better if I continued to fail here, but maintained my position in the remaining polls  Roll Eyes
had similar situation last season with this pool, I am bad with Calcio, and usually spill down in second half, although another good round is in for me

but I will try to improve on La Liga, for three seasons it was my playground, and after losing last season, it seems that I can go back to top
being back to drawing board, and now is a time to catch up with top, it is a small difference between 2-15 position, and only top1 is far away

I found out long time ago that pool position is more about luck than knowledge, at least this is my experience based on thinking I know the most about La Liga and yet did the worst there, while doing better in leagues I only follow from results.

Such was my experience this season too, getting a prize from F1 pool which I totally don't know anything about so only can pick based on results.

Ha. Napoli. Monza are ridiculously seesaw easy/tough though and Osimhenless (suspension) Naples couldn't deal. They should probably kiss their title defence goodbye.

Then again, Inter...

expected it from Napoli, but didn't from Inter, and there goes my parlay down

I had to add them into an acca too *shakes head* so I probably deserve it.

Don't forget we have a new round today, many games to see off 2023. Napoli must feel they can't drop points today, I read that they are still Italy's most entertaining team to watch based on active moves, chances created and conceded etc but I think the results have been so disappointing even though they extended Osimhen they need to find more creative mids to supply.

GL everyone, go Genoa!!

Well said! I think Juve wins this comfortably, but I won't be upset if Mou's players find out (again) how to score. But the usual suspects of Mila, Napoli, Roma, Atalanta appear to have lost their way.

I'm not completely out of pools in EPL and La Liga but yes, Serie A looks my best bet to take something home. I'm predicting low scoring and clean sheets a lot this season, seems to be working out.

Wow! I won the yellow cap!  Cool

And now, together with casperBGD and buwaytress, we occupy 4-6 places.
I would say that for me this is a good end to the year (and a good opportunity to try again to make x100 out of the free bet), but there is still the last New Year's tour ahead.
By the way, on paper this round will be very predictable, and there will be only one big match: Juventus - Roma. However, here the victory of Juventus should also not raise doubts, but as a sympathizer of Mourinho and all his clubs, I will hope for a surprise.

Unfortunately, Inter's dominance looks undeniable, and all other clubs (except Juventus) look like complete losers. The reigning champions have already fallen below their average results, Milan do not seem to have benefited from the rebuild they have undertaken.
But in the Champions League, Serie A received three representatives in the playoffs, and Milan went to conquer the Europa League, overall not bad.

I'm currently ranked 12th in this pool.
As long as Atalanta doesn't blow-out Salernitana tonight, I should win my first Yellow Cap of the season in Serie A  Smiley

Nice one, didn't notice you did so well. Atalanta not in the best of conditions but probably pales next to Napoli, having a torrid time in Rome. Such an ill-tempered game with Osimhen getting sent off after his colleague earned a straight red, both managers cautioned -- I want to say a Mou masterclass but the home team were favoured by the books. Lukaku train steams ahead. Typical Serie A, I guess?

Tough times for Gli Azzurri after such a magnificent season.

Don't worry Trofo, I'm in 17th place so I'm probably gonna join you down there to keep you company if things continue. 17 sounds only 7 places away from 10, but it's 6 places away from last place lol

Copa Italia time and Lazio is first QF. Fiorentina next?

What a great round for me - first yellow cap this season and up by 6 places to 13th. And was close from getting all 10 correct outcomes, but Torino win didn't let it to happen. Not so long time ago my only task was somehow to stay in front of Trofo, now I'm getting closer to prize spots. With 24 rounds remaining, everything still can happen.

I think if you manage even just one gameweek with all correct outcomes you end up in paying spots. Especially if it's a week with you only being the only one guessing one upset. Those 3 Slam Points are a big difference Smiley

Not sure who "Leon" is, the only guy in our pool to get this right, but he ensured Trofo is rooted to the bottom of this pool (Cro2, are you both going against Milans a lot or?).
I think that Leon is just random guy who have no relation to our pool and just joined it somehow. I haven't saw his name before. Don't know why, but such things happens quite often with Serie A pool this season.

And Leon is another one kicked from the pool. Really don't know how these people are finding Serie A pool and not La Liga one. They are set up in exactly the same way.

Not even gonna comment my poor performance anymore. Just hoping to score one free bet at some point at maybe not finish last Smiley

Well Inter destroyed Napoli in the last game of this round.

I have to say, a very good round for me this time, and i took over some positions and aproach into the pay ones, so feels good for me. But this league is very difficult to predict so i dont make so much dream about it.

Very sad to lose that big ticket in that way trofo, Milan is a must avoid like Juventus for me.

I actually thought this was the first game of the round (got confused because of midweek EPL), then I looked again and realised I was looking at Atalanta (who got hammered arguably more embarrassingly at Turin).

Don't know about you guys but this is one of those weeks I feel will be few or no draws at all. Not even the strugglers, not even with Napoli-Inter. Boys in blue seem to be back in terms of goals and I don't think we can take the Bernabeu hammering as a sign of weakness (bloody Bellingham) and they will want to win at all costs -- I think this is ripe for Inter to steal all 3 points: 2-3 my pick there.

Monza's got a painful gauntlet of games coming up...

Ugh. One of my worst weeks across the board in all pools, but Serie A takes the cake. Napoli should have not won, a nice draw would have taken me places but I have to blame my leanings this week to low goal counts when the opposite should have went.

You know it was a dull affair when the hottest news from the weekend was that Inter players had to leave the stadium without showering as they ran out of hot water... ha ha.
