I actually thought this was the first game of the round (got confused because of midweek EPL), then I looked again and realised I was looking at Atalanta (who got hammered arguably more embarrassingly at Turin).

Not sure who "Leon" is, the only guy in our pool to get this right, but he ensured Trofo is rooted to the bottom of this pool (Cro2, are you both going against Milans a lot or?).

Don't know about you guys but this is one of those weeks I feel will be few or no draws at all. Not even the strugglers, not even with Napoli-Inter. Boys in blue seem to be back in terms of goals and I don't think we can take the Bernabeu hammering as a sign of weakness (bloody Bellingham) and they will want to win at all costs -- I think this is ripe for Inter to steal all 3 points: 2-3 my pick there.

Monza's got a painful gauntlet of games coming up...

Ugh. One of my worst weeks across the board in all pools, but Serie A takes the cake. Napoli should have not won, a nice draw would have taken me places but I have to blame my leanings this week to low goal counts when the opposite should have went.

You know it was a dull affair when the hottest news from the weekend was that Inter players had to leave the stadium without showering as they ran out of hot water... ha ha.

Atalanta and Napoli match should be good to watch
it should not be all about defense, and match should be exciting, although Napoli form is far from great

my weekend on Calcio will bring only one match to watch, Sunday mid-day play between Cagliari and Monza, maybe sardinians can reach third home win in a row, and skip from relegation zone

Guess we can all agree after such a special season of footballing from Naples, we are struggling for excitement now (Italy embarrassed by Ukraine didn't help). Unrelated but Empoli just brought in a young Ukrainian Peter Crouch though ha ha.

definitely a sign to let go Calcio for some time

agree, matches are hardly watchable, teams playing defensively, and beside Inter and Juventus at the moment, there is no reliable fixture there
and under goals are simply not my style, put it sometimes on parlays, but rarely (it is hard to watch and wish for teams not to score)

Lazio and Rome wasn't really a football, or at least not EPL type of football, it was just close on defense and fight

Man, that is a horrible way to go, I know even the insurance doesn't lessen the hurt. Milan really seemed too good to miss, even after the Champs League victory the odds remained value, then they just remind everyone they are overperformers squeezing out the last bits of Giroud. They and Brighton are heavily invested into stats-based players but I think they are letting that cloud game management.

Hope you didn't fall for Napoli. No Osimhen, big problem.

Nothing to watch for the rest of the weekend betting wise as I bombed everywhere, so I'll be at least watching tomorrow, between Chelsea and Lazio.

You didn't get what you wanted in the end then but it's okay, Atalanta should still win while being comfortable, I have to say that Udinese are a little too unpredictable as home favorites, as you can see from this stupid bet. I can't believe how I forgot about making predictions on the Serie A matches today after writing this. I assume that one really loses morale when they look at the standings. Still I won't give up on playing to win free bets. 1-2 yellow caps can make this bad season much better.

Two close scores from 2 away wins, not so bad, just slightly disappointing I couldn't catch more points when a number of the top guys got 2 exact scores (why did I go 3-2 when 2-1 seemed way more likely?).

Anyway good for neutrals that Juve and Milan must now keep up. Inter are posting proper scary numbers though, huh?

By the way, I watched my first full serie A game on Monday, Lazio - Fiorentina. It was supposed to be a solid game but I was actually surprised how bad the game was. Nobody is running, they can't string a couple of good passes together. Just making mistakes and arguing with ref.

this round, match to pick was from Sardinia, Cagliari overturned Frosinone, being down 0:3 in 72th minute, winning 4:3
not a best football, but lot of action, and VAR on final goal deeply in overtime, it seemed that match was above 100 minutes long

first win for Cagliari and Ranieri this season

didn't watch much Serie A this season, but expected from my Cagliari to take first win this round, off to better times
