I think a string of over 0.5 goals for the favourites in an acca is my safe haven bet. It's not the way I bet, but this season I've really, really slowed down.

Hmmm... United's fall was a long process. But if we take analogies for players, Casemiro is a good example - from heaven he went straight to hell  Grin

So, total over 0.5, do you mean a bet against the outcome of a goalless draw? I never thought about such exoticism, but it’s probably a good option for boosting multi-bets.

Yeah, that's almost what I meant, but a handicap of over 0.5 goals for all the favourites. This would have meant around 1.3-1.5 per leg, and it would have hit so far (without taking Milan into account), instead of a fav win, since Juve's plain win didn't come... It's really not my style but I would probably turn to some at least as you say to boost existing accas. These Italian teams in the top 6, even Juventus now, rarely can't score.

When I resume proper betting anyway. I've been in a very calm funk this season.

Imagine Dybala feelings: from working with a great coach, winning trophies -> to fighting for survival. And it was a fast path  Grin
Anyway, what do you think about the round? It seems that all the favorites will have quite solvable tasks, except for a difficult game for Fiorentina and the game Lazio - Inter. Where to make money? Juventus handicap -1 and Milan plain win? Seems like a sure thing.

I imagine many people have felt that way at United -- though to me, none with the talent or hard work of Dybala. Things change quickly in modern fooball club management (or mismanagement).

The round? Well it started with a minor upset. Torino. Topped Serie A after 5 games, then had a shit 10 games, then Che Adams (damn where did he come from) scores from the halfway line to beat Empoli -- not one of us got this outcome right, we were all backing Turin to continue their shit form.

It seems De Rossi played more productive football but he too was sacked. I am also at a loss to guess what the plan of Roma management is. I can understand when the owners make investments and change coaches who do not produce results (the most extreme example is Chelsea), but what Roma management is thinking is completely unclear.

This is really one recent example of how to run a club into the ground. To think, only 8 seasons ago they were ripping it up in Champions League (still with Salah), and then fresh in their memories are lifting a European trophy with Mou, and then now you're struggling and hiring a manager as if you're fighting relegation. Love the guy, but he's not a guy you hire to instil confidence at the top, not the state he's in now.

Perhaps relegation will hit that much-needed reset button but you guys are right. Dybala, man. What a waste.

I dont know what Rome management is thinking, but they are 100% responsibles of this bad moment of the team, how in the earth you can hire managers who only play defensive and awfull football? First a super  nonsense hiring Juric.... and now a retired Ranieri.

Poor dybala when he was in one of his best moments between injuries and this coaches is again in a bad moment.

Yeah, what's happening with Roma is joke. And it already started before Juric was appointed. They showed trust to de Rossi, extend his contract until 2027 and then sack him after just few rounds.
I respect Ranieri a lot, but I don't think that coach who returned from retirement is best option for club in such situation.

Man what a boring show from Italy after their best teams meet and between 4 teams only 1 goal was managed. Bore!

It is their reality. They can't compete with richest clubs but they can always play attacking football and lure players just below that star level to join them. Many teams adapted to that kind of existence.

Watched the game and Atalanta was actually way better than result showed. They could have scored several more in first half.

I feel a bit sad, but your right this is the reality. But you can see it doesn't serve them long term. Look at Leeds in England, look at even Ajax now in past couple seasons, if you want to compare how it happens to a big club when compared to rest of Europe.

Still, getting Champions League entry for a club like Atalanta is the dream. Arsenal for many years forgot this was such a great dream to have and there are not 'small' like Atalanta Smiley

Nice to see the return of Atalanta to scoring ways, but I read that they're about to lose their best players again with City and Real both chasing signatures.

And it ended 0:0, I didn't regret that I decided to watch ending of Atletico - Alaves game and then City - Spurs, instead of this one. Yeah, sometimes 0:0 can be interesting, but looking at stats, this game wasn't such case.
Probably even Parma - Atalanta will be more exciting, considering that Atalanta is highest scoring team in whole league.

Who knows, today Napoli Roma give us the scene we were supposed to get.

Spurs scoring 4 at City home, maybe Roma gonna do the same to Naples Smiley

Yo yo yo sorry forgot about this thread.

Your right about Milan Juve being the match to watch. Another fact is they are the 2 biggest spenders in Serie A, so all that money and they became like Chelsea and United in their positions not matching their spending.

Napoli Roma should have been a great game too if not for Roma being so shit this season Smiley

Wake up, Italia.

I smell minimum 3 draws in this round, but I'm going to stubbornly refuse to give in to logic and make sure I try for narrow wins. Milan Juve has to be the match to determine what these two teams will look like in December. Pulisic should be hungry. Until the next international interrupts form again.
