The reason you set up this subject is what?

People on this site buy and sell accounts (buy: to join signature campaigns, to scam - sell: selling a loan collateral), so a tool like this helps people easily evaluate the price of an account.

bctalkaccountpricer is working fine for me thank you for providing a free service. It is working really fast.

I tried running the github code in my wamp localhost server and it didn't work, I will try it in a vps later.
You need to download gwt and use it to compile the code. Then use a web applications server like apache tomcat in order to run it.

I just want to know, how is calculated the post quality ?
It is the percentage of posts with 75 characters or more not including quotes. See the op.

Is it 75 characters or 75 words ? And what is exactly the percentages for cool (under which percentage to be more exact) ?

It seems that it is 75 characters including white spaces on the posts.

I wish good luck to knightdk, i recommend also to many users here as this website is free to use, and i hope you are earning a little bit from the ads.

In the github source code you can find it.

if(post.length() >= 75)
goodPosts++;

https://github.com/achow101/BitcointalkAccountPricer/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q=good

So it is based in characters.

This is an interesting script. I may never sell this account but it sure is a good tool to quickly calculate the value of your Bitcointalk account. If there is ever need to sell my account I will consult this tool to find out how much it is worth roughly.

Very useful tool for estimation. This is pretty useful for merchants, as a foundation for trading accounts.

Oh, now I understand my rating. I'm sorry I didn't saw it in the OP. That's a nice script. My account is valuated aproximatively 0,2BTC, that's nice, even if I'll never sell it.

The site is still under construction?
because when i put an UID on the site and tried to check, the site said "Please wait for your previous request to finish and try again"
If you tried it earlier, it might still be processing your earlier request. Also, if you are using a proxy, someone else might also have used the same proxy and the site thinks you are the same person.

If none of the above are true, then there probably is a bug with the queue system, which I am working on. The site is still a work in process. The server will reboot in a few hours to clear the queue so you can try again later.

No, i used my provider country, it's confused indeed, because sometimes my IP is change automatically.

Keep it work, your site is useful.

Move On !!!!!!

Very nice idea! I keep checking the price of some accounts but I keep getting an error:

Remote Procedure Call - Failure. Please try again

Did this happen to anybody else? It happened to me several times in the row.

Thanks!
Wait a few minutes before trying again. The server should be restarting around this time to clear its queue. I have that regularly scheduled to occur at midnight in UTC (I think, I don't quite remember what timezone)

Thanks! I guess this was the case since this morning it works flawlessly. I have managed to check several accounts. Very nice little thing even though it seems to me that the prices are bit on the low side. Smiley

I will be sharing it everywhere. Very interesting!

I agree with people above, it's really hard to put a price on accounts, but I do think this tool does a very good job of getting a starting estimate.
