A little bit more than 24 hours left to vote the best pizza!
In my opinion, it’s clear whose pizza is the best, if we are really talking about pizza  Grin
We do agree! I am also sure which the best pizza is!

There is not only Neapolitan pizza: practically every region has its own variant of pizza. And they are all very good
The best thing is that pizza is democratic and belongs to everyone: in some places you can buy a pizza for even less than 3 euros. And don't believe those who invent pizzas with gold and caviar: the real pizza is made with poor ingredients, such as tomatoes, sardines, black olives, olive oil, basil, mozzarella.

Situation is similar in a big part of Europe (and I guess US) as well, there are pizzerias everywhere. But its true, you are the kings of pizza, and I would add that you have generally the best cuisine in the world (Greece is a close 2nd to me).

Out of curiosity I just checked Google maps and in 500 meters radius of the place I live at the moment (very touristy city) there are 7 pizzerias. Unfortunately, I am very picky when it comes to pizza (more experience, higher demands) and rarely eat at any of those places so to actually get a very good neapolitan pizza I have to travel 4-5 km.

I was joking of course, but the real pizza is the Italian one: here we have at least one pizzeria in every neighborhood  Cool

We make pizzas like Germans drink beer, or Spaniards make paella  Smiley

The last (and only) pizza I posted was 3 years ago. And I didn't even make it, my wife did.

Very very well  Cheesy
I'm sorry I missed this contest as I often dabble in my Mario Bros apron and mustache when making pizzas for friends!

I've seen some very good pizzas, @filippone I highly recommend buying the ooni koda 16" changing the original stone with "biscotto saputo" It's like eating a Neapolitan pizza!

I won't miss the 2024 contest, I promise!

Could be a good use for this year’s prise: reinvesting in next year’s gear!

Yep, perfect recipe for a delicious pizza: potatoes, some sort of legumes (I guess), garlic and onion put on top of some sort of flour and not even baked.  Smh...

Seriously buddy, what is this? Have you never seen pizza in your life as I somehow doubt that's how they make it in Bangladesh.

Let's not question a nation for a Merit Farmer newbie. They are not here to compete. Not only this one. There are a bunch of people who posted some salads and other things like mashed potatoes. As you may understand, these people are just trying to get a couple of merits showing their efforts. But, I don't think they have even seen a pizza in their life. Don't be surprised if they say yes, I have never seen a pizza. It's common for people who live in a village and have never seen skyscrapers. But, they must see a pizza on their smartphone and I am not sure why they posted such bullshit. Sometimes we people feel ashamed of those merit farmers.  Cry

I said this before in other comment of me, but this its out of hands in someway, the merits farmer gangs are spreading in this kind of posts like shit, and the worst of all its more of them also not put any effort to make a "good" try of a pizza.

I know my comment its gonna be very unpopular for a lot of people, but seeing a lot of newbie accounts, jr and also members that you know they only come here to take merits its a shame.

I dont take part in this contest, i really like the idea but this people seems like only a spam race to gets merits, and for me that its not the final of the contest.

Hat offs to all the regular members who makes a good pizza.

Guys, which @LoyceV and @JayJuanGee pizzas? What are you talking about?
It could be some paparazzi took a secret shot of LoyeV purchasing a pizza in his local shop, and they thought he became pizza master just for our contest.
I heard some people say Dutch pizza is now better than Italian pizza Shocked Yeah cool story I know.  Cool
Other guy maybe got inspired by lemon and potato puke special pizzas.

Even if you know, I still recommend you watch this short reel.
The Rap from the Cheetah was incredible.
Thank me later!

It seems more and more people started inviting their friends to vote for them. Well, my Pizza Got nine votes so far and I did not ask anyone to vote for my pizza. If I can get nine votes for my worst-looking pizza. I guess some of those masterpieces deserve more than 3x votes than mine. Would you guys mind if I ask my friends to vote for my pizza as well? I don't want to win first prize for sure! Neither do I deserve that.

And where exactly I did that? Those who seen me around here know (at least I hope they do) that I am big supporter of local boards/communities and I have no idea why you felt that way just because I asked is that how they make it over there (I checked his post history and saw he is active in Bengali local topic, hence my question).

Why would you feel ashamed of a merit farmer? They should be ashamed and that's why I called him out.

Merit Fishing at its best.
That's how we mention merit sources or other Prominent forum members to get some merits. But the worst thing is we do not even bother to check whether they participated in the contest. JJG was most active in this thread during the contest. So, they might think that he also participated in the contest. The freaking thing is, I don't remember if I have seen LoyceV posted in this thread since the contest started. So, How do they claim they voted for LoyceV's Pizza?

It's better to post like "Merit my post, else I will start posting shit".  Cool

I may not be wrong if I conclude that popular contestants like Fillippone, JayGuanGee, icopress, Loycev etc, had some shivering seeing the high rate of participants this year thinking the challenge may be tougher but unfortunately lesser numbers participated on the discord eventually.

i voted for Fillippone, Icopress and Loycev, Zainmalik75 and JayJuanGee.

I agree with you but the word "pizza" does not need to be defined as it does not need to be defined as "water" or "coca cola" we all know how these drinks are. If I order a pizza, the waiter must bring me a circular pasta cooked in the oven (preferably wood-fired) with a layer of tomato on the surface up to half a centimeter from the edge covered with mozzarella. This is the basis. Finally, you can season it with some ingredients such as ham, mushrooms, peppers, salami, artichokes, etc... but any type of strange dough cannot be defined as pizza. For the dough you need water, flour and yeast. It's that simple and I don't expect a regulation to define what a pizza is if the contest plans to cook one.

It seems like you did not like the mashed potato pizza. Nor the salad pizza. This is the reason you started creating drama  Roll Eyes
Kidding aside, you will see more submissions next year as long we feed them with merits. They are not here to win the contest. They know they won't get a vote and did not submit their so-called pizza on the Discord server. All they want is some merits! I understand that everyone's creativity and ability to create are not the same. Maybe I made the worst-looking pizza. But, at least you will be able to recognize that this is a pizza. They were not looking good. Still, it's a Pizza.
Most of us that participated in the contest in the forum but didn't summit our pizza on the discord server are already aware of the influence and charisma some of our contenders have achieved over the years in the community and knew even before posting our pizzas on the thread that we stand no chance but at least lets in our own little way put in some fun in the contest in the forum.

I may not be wrong if I conclude that popular contestants like Fillippone, JayGuanGee, icopress, Loycev etc, had some shivering seeing the high rate of participants this year thinking the challenge may be tougher but unfortunately lesser numbers participated on the discord eventually. Perhaps, it would be more transparent and encouraging if we do the casting of vote in the forum come next year the fun and participation may be much more than what we are having this year. Grin
