The hacker spirit breaks any spell
I withdraw from the competition, I only entered to laugh at Filippone's back
I achieved my goal and enjoyed it, but now I'm out of the competition
may the best pizza win and good continuation to all

we are expecting some improvement in this Contest next years to decrease the chance of cheating as much as possible. This contest was full of fun and i enjoyed very much by watching all designed pizza. three channels are created for voting purpose, the number of contesters are more than previous year. according to current results Fillippone is on the top.

Five days remaining for voting to be done and no doubt we have seen some delicious Pizza which deserve to be vote. Im discord channels i checked some Pizza image, at first glance, I wished to vote for it. I appreciate all who participated in this contest but i voted for Fillippone, Icopress, Blackout Zainmalik75 and LDL. At that time Fillippone and blackout are on the top. number of active users are less im discord server otherwise it would have been a lot more fun if there was more than 5k online users .

In other words, accept the way it's done and don't complain.
I'm not competing, so I'm not complaining about this. I said what I said because I believe that people who complain about the way voting is conducted make sense because it's very easy to cheat using discord. Much easier than it would be if people were to vote by posting their picks here on the forum. Maybe it something that could be improved next year.

Anyone who really wants to cheat will find a way to do it, it's not easy to prevent it. Even in such an entertainment-oriented organization, it's pathetic to try to cheat for small prizes. The main purpose of this shouldn't be forgotten. It would be better to talk about how the pizzas are made, not how the competition is made. Smiley

You are right the little one competes by cheating for a prize. It's a sad fact that only a few ingredients are needed to make a pizza and there are some people who cheat by not doing it for a short period of time. One participant in our pizza competition has committed a major fraud. Where he did not make his own pizza but collected photos from Google and edited the photos so that no one could understand. But he was caught cheating in the contest and the scammer's deception was easily exposed.

He couldn't survive the pizza competition by cheating and was easily caught. Cheesy

Happy Bitcoin Pizza Day🎉 2023

Hey bro you think no one will understand if you edit photo here. It is clear that you have edited the pizza by downloading it from Google.
I will draw the attention of seniors to look into this matter.

I think it's completely edited. Spamming

Honestly, I don't know how this could be equalized.
It's very easy to do... just don't enter the contest.

In the sense that next year I will publish a real culinary masterpiece, but I will not send it to the discord. I know that few people can compete with my pizza this year, but the only way to enjoy the next competition is to do what I described above.  Tongue

I appreciate the sense of humor, but your pizza is actually good, so it wasn't that funny.
Being the troll that I am I feel tempted to get some guys from a Rust clan that I used to play with via discord and make them vote for one of those lime cake pizzas to prove a point Cheesy

I propose to introduce a new rule for the next contest: it is forbidden to distribute a link to your pizza in various forum topics, which, moreover, are not related to the theme of bitcoin pizza, and openly agitate for users to vote for a particular pizza. This is cheating and an attempt to cheat votes. I believe that such behavior should be punished by disqualification of the one who does so.

Campaigning during the voting period has always been prohibited.
If also the next pizza contest will be voted on Discord then it'll simply be, again, a prize for the best cheater, not the best pizza. There are users with Discord and Telegram channels, or Twitter, FB groups etc, how would you know if they post it there and tell their friends/followers to vote for them?

The only way is to vote on the forum, and only users registered before a certain date and have accumulated a certain amount of merits should be allowed to vote otherwise it's just a joke.

I understand this contest is supposed to be made just as a fun thing but when people decide to cheat even for something like this everything changes and who is to blame? Those who complain or those who cheat?

I see many new discord members joined there with I assume prepare to vote!
These are not alternate accounts. These are those who follow the direct link (I see that some users are calling for voting for them by publishing posts in different threads). It's allowed because it's campaigning and I'll probably do the same.

You can buy that type of services anywhere, not only on the forum, and exactly for that reason voting on Discord is totally pointless, you just need to tell your friends to vote for you or buy the votes, that's it. But again, what's the point of the contest then? Awarding the best pizza or awarding the best cheater? I can submit a salad (like someone did), buy 1k votes and the best pizza would be a salad. Does that make any sense?
Exactly, votes could be bought and it wouldn't be fair for anyone else participating in the contest and this could happen in Discord, the forum, or any other platform where the contest is held.. To overcome this issue, I suggest that not everyone should be allowed to vote in the contest. Instead, only trusted moderators and participants in the contest should have voting, excluding anyone outside this circle.

The vote could be cheated by the alt account, I see many new discord members joined there with I assume prepare to vote!.

We know, ex-bounty cheated still here and being camouflaged (create a new account, earned merit, and rank up) then joined in contests, signatures, and games.

they don't give up, they use elegant methods for personal gain. once a cheater always a cheater!.

This is probably one of the largest Bitcointalk Pizza Party contest, but I have to say that I am surprised by the amount of crap some people posted as pizza.
We need to have something like alternative shame voting for worst submissions, this people need to learn what pizza is, you can't put lemon, potato and call it a pizza.
Anyway, good luck everyone.

I see that in the discord all pizzas got 1 vote each while two pizzas got 10 votes each (to be honest I think someone texted friends or something like that).
Or they created multiple accounts... just sayin.

Unfortunately, you're going to get something like that on servers where the invites are via shared link.
It's pretty easy to send the link to someone and make that person log in and click the icon under your picture. The whole operation literally takes less than a minute.
With prize pool equal to monthly wage in many countries, you're going to get people voting with their families, to get some bitcoin.

Honestly, I don't know how this could be equalized. You'd have to check if the submissions with the most votes had these votes given by account names similar to existing forum member accounts.
If they're getting many votes by people who joined discord server after June 1, have names unlike any other accounts on the forum and have not participated in the contest themselves, there's high chance the participant is cheating.

To achieve a fair vote, I propose that a selected few mods vote to choose 5-10 top pizzas from all the entries. Then, we could proceed with another round of voting where both users and moderators can participate on it in the Discord server. This way, it would be much more difficult for anyone to buy votes or cheat in order to win the contest.

Long story short, for an ideal voting system I think we would allow only participants and mods in the servers to vote and in case we want to expand the vote and make it more inclusive, we can also involve third-party members who are unaware of the contest participants, voting based on the pizzas themselves without any association to the person who posted it.

In that case, I would like to add an additional 5 mBTC to the prize pool (on behalf of MixTum).
I am a bit curious. Does it mean the 5mBTC will add to the prize pool next year? Or do you mean this year?

However, I am forced to withdraw the prize provided by MixTum.   Tongue
I Just Noticed this one.

Same here @John Abraham
The submission and Image for @Gaza13's pizza entry are incorrect
Correct submission link: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.62327719
Thanks for finding this mistake. I understand why it's happened. At first, I did not check double entries. When I submitted them on the Discord server, and there was a mismatch, I had to double-check the entries. Then I noticed Zainmalik75 submitted his pizza twice, which was not the same. That means he made two pizzas and decided to post two times. According to the rules, A user can participate once. If someone makes more than one pizza, they must submit them simultaneously. I did not get why people submit multiple entries. Maybe you know what I am thinking. During the checking, I found his double entry. Then I replaced his entry with Gaza13"s entry, but the Image remained the same. That was the mistake. Thanks again for finding this.

I have ordered all entries to find any entry easily. if someone want to vote any specific entry then this list will help you.
No offense. But I don't think this is necessary. This will help people voting some specific pizza without seeing other pizzas. This is not fair. When someone wants to vote for pizzas, they should have seen all the pizza and see which is the best and deserve a vote.

The only way to keep a minimum of credibility at this point is to have people posting on this thread their Discord votes, if someone is not registered/doesn't post here then the vote doesn't count otherwise let's just all buy votes online and that's it.
better to not use vote, the admin should form to build a jury to assessment.
I hear someone sell service discord vote in marketplace.

Don't worry about it, it's the effort that counts.
I don't know how it tasted, but the deal was to make a pizza and your product looks like a pizza. It cannot be mistaken for anything else meaning the goal was reached! Cool
Thanks for your appreciation, mate.  Smiley
The taste isn't too bad even though it's a little tough.
I think there is something lacking in the dough. Or it may be overcooked.
However, you are right that the shape is okay. It looks like a Pizza.  Cheesy

I haven't seen a lot of entries on the discord server till now. They might have thought that the contest if forum based, whereas it is not. Voting will happen on discord and if any participant does not upload the picture on discord then their efforts would get wasted.

Is their any possibility to give them some more time and if possible quote those username who have not uploaded here on this thread.
I think it is just about fun, don't take it too seriously. Even if we don't win the prize, we already celebrate the event together at least. I think it is the point of this event. For a person like me, the chance to win is impossible, so no problem at all if my Pizza doesn't count as the participants for the winning candidates.  Grin

To Be Honest, I don't have a Discord account. I may try to create it first if it is really needed.

I think there should be rule next time to be qualified for Pizza Contest and pizza yeast ,sauce and some other ingredients should be mandatory to use. At least the dish should be called Pizza. An example of potato dish is like altcoins holder claim that  he is holder of BTC.
I agree, I know it sounds ridiculous but at this point it's better to specify what pizza is and what the basic ingredients and cooking process are.

Creating discord account is quite easy and if you have number of email then its just like ABC. i am also aware of multiple discord accounts bot which can do 1000 vote in very less time. these bot are commonly used by airdrop hunters. every body should be honest otherwise greedy user will try to cheat by providing fake votes which will spoil the fun of the competition

Friends, sorry for the bad news, but I completely forgot that any mention of the mixer in the same line with people associated with the forum is a bad idea. This is a kind of gray area (as it was recently with the signatures of the moderators). There is nothing to discuss here.

However, I am forced to withdraw the prize provided by MixTum.   Tongue

Backstory: Some years ago users here and there suggested to have an official Discord server (IIRC the original idea was to have instant messaging on Bitcointalk). While making it official seemed like a bad idea, it seemed fun to create a Discord server for the Halving of 2020. A virtual party server to celebrate and have a few small contests. The Halving came and went and some people stayed. Then came Bitcoin Pizza day and we did the same. So it went form something temporary to a thing that's just there. And by all means, it's not meant as a replacement for Bitcointalk (LOL).

But this year the Pizza Contest really outgrew the way it was planned and hosted all these years. This is pretty wholesome actually and loved seeing the more recent Bitcointalk Pie and Bitcointalk Pumpking Carving contests. That's why I hinted that next year if we're going to have another contest it will be different  Smiley

hahahahahaha

Kind of like bitcoins.. aka dee cornz.. aka my lil precious... aka honey badger

Can you scale? and do you (the "pizza contest" system) have staying power?

Time will tell.  Time will tell.

That's the point I was trying to get across.
I'm sure that in 20 years there will either be very large Bitcoin Pizza/Pie/Pumpkin/whatever contests volume or no contests.

Until then, let's enjoy this oversized pizza contest  Cheesy
