@Royse777 Just for heads up, IPL is schedule next month in the September. We still have 35+ days to go so give some time to others. I am hopeful that more will join soon in next couple of weeks. Will send anyway...
Yeah, I know but you guys really need to start funding the address and those who are standing on the side line, I suggest you too join. We have some exciting news about sponsors. Trust me you all will love it. Once I have the final words then I will disclose the details.

Right now we have offers from three services.

By the way, since we will have a good pot (assuming one of the sponsor deal is final) how about we have some consolations prizes for the rounds? I am thinking to have something for the highest points earners from rounds. End of the season we will have top 3 point earning rounds and those round winners will have some prizes to in addition to the main prize. Of course in this case we will need a percentage cut down from the top three on the table.

So say for example, if we have x amount for each top round winner then Main prize pot will have:

Main prize pot = Prize pot - 3x - tx fees.

Those who will not make it to the top 3 in the leader board, they will always have chance to win something from a good round.

Let's continue the season from this post.

Last year we had Ronnie (cloudbet) to sponsor rounds. This year maybe having a main sponsor would be nice. Anyone has any recommendation?

Edit: Let's help us finding sponsors : https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/looking-for-sponsor-ipl-2020-prediction-pool-5267712

Doni's run out was also a good decision. It was Nigel Llong who have him out, and IMO it was one of the best decisions in this edition of the IPL. From the side angle, when the bails were off no part of the bat was behind the white line.
Is it good decision? I don't think so based on the rules of cricket bails have to come out to gave someone as out but they are giving it when the liht comes out so which makes a frame of out bit earlier which will be enough for most of the time to go for wrong errors and also different angle shows not out on Dhoni's runout so benefit of doubt should go for batsmen as well.

No. When the bails glowed (which happens at the time of impact), Dhoni was short of the crease. The laws state that some part of the bat needs to be behind the line. In the first frame, when the light glowed (not clear whether the bails have moved or not), Dhoni's bat was short of the line. In the next frame, when the bails were clearly dislodged, the bat was on top of the line. But even at this point, no part of the bat was behind the line. If we interpolate the two frames, it is clear that Dhoni was well short.
When watching it from other angle there is slight ahead of crease that is what the benefit of doubt which needs to be in favour of batsman but what happened was the other side.Whatever the tournamanet was done and even the winner was announced in this thread for the prediction contest. Smiley

Exactly. That was a controversial decision and anyone with a half decent brain can recognize that. This umpire was in the news for kicking a door down recently after a heated argument with Kohli recently as I stated earlier. Bad umpiring indeed.

What a final match between MI and CSK. The IPL 2019 has their champion. Congrats to MI for the great win that they snitched from CSK.

With this, we can finish this Pool successfully. It was a great pleasure to pick with Haunebu and Cloudbet especially in the final few matches. Tell you what, before the final match I had 36 and Ronnie had 37 points. At the last over, everyone was thinking CSK was going to win, so did I and I was counting that I will get 0.5 margin point with my correct pick point 1 meaning I will get 1.50 points and that will make me to lead the leader board LOL

But that last ball from Malinga snitched the trophy from CSK also my hope to lead the point table on the pool LOL (Also I had this outright bet @4.85 from the very beginning that CSK will be the champion and lost that too LOL)

Nevermind, Ronnie played really well and he deserved the win. However since he said he is going to waive his prize so I think the rest of us means me and Haunebu will equality split his amount.

Here is the calculation of the prize:

The prize pot amount = 0.005BTC
Escrow fees (1% of 0.005) = 0.00005BTC
Remains (0.005-0.00005) = 0.00495BTC

For the ease of calculation let's have the tx fees on me.

1st prize 40%  = 0.001980
2nd prize 30%  = 0.001485
3rd prize 20%  = 0.000990
4th prize 10% = 0.000495

Cloudbet 1st = waived
Royse777 2nd = 0.001485 + 0.00099 = 0.002475 - 0.0000164(tx fees 5sat/B) = 0.0024586BTC
Haunebu 3rd = 0.000990 + 0.00099 = 0.00198BTC
Charity (will select soon) = 0.000495BTC
Escrow fees (1% of 0.005) = 0.00005BTC
Tx fees = 0.0000164BTC

@Haunebu: Please PM me a BTC address so that I can send it to minerjones and also can someone get me the link of the charity program running by a user who started it recently. I needed the BTC address from them too.

Cheers :-)

This was easily the most spectacular finale I have ever witnessed in an IPL season and I was shocked to see the trophy being passed around several times between the teams through out the match.

I thought that CSK would easily win this one, but they botched it thanks to their run outs and the controversial decisions. Hats off to MI to becoming the most successful team in the IPL franchise with 4 freaking wins. Well deserved indeed. The best IPL season ever.

Had a lot of fun chatting with you guys in this thread.

Here is my prediction for the playoffs and finals:

Qualifier 1: MI vs CSK: MI win, since CSK is not in great form
Eliminator: DC vs SRH: Win for DC
Qualifier 2: DC vs CSK: Win for DC

Finals: DC vs MI: MI wins the tournament.
That's less likely to be happened. I guese MI and CSK will play the final match. MI will win the qualifier 1 and CSK will olay against probably DC.
The chances of winning for MI in the final is also high since they are having quite decent performance.
100% correct prediction.
I didn't bet other than the final match, although MI almost lost the match. Lucky that they win. It was a great tournament for them.
Sorry Royse, you probably have lost some bets this time, if I am correct you had a bet on CSK for final match too.

Am I the only one who got a feeling of money involved on yesterday's match.Te decision of MSD's run out was the decisive factor and it looks safe from view but umpire gave out even if there is doubt then the benefit should got to the batsmen. Huh

Last over also looks very tremendous and that Shane watson runout was unnecesary due to the call from jadeja, and last ball lbw don't know what is the actual result on that.Anyways the tournament was done and MI got the trophy this year and their dominance over CSK on final continues.

I don't know whether money was involved or not. But the Indian umpire who oversaw the match yesterday (Nitin Menon) had an excellent tournament. He was correct on 99% of the occasions and he is one of the world's best.

Shane Watson's run out was unnecessary, but you can't blame the umpire for that. Anyway, I have a feeling that it didn't did much damage to CSK, as he was a bit slow with his batting. The last ball LBW was a perfect decision and the hawkeye confirmed it.

Doni's run out was also a good decision. It was Nigel Llong who have him out, and IMO it was one of the best decisions in this edition of the IPL. From the side angle, when the bails were off no part of the bat was behind the white line.

I don't believe it's possible in this scale but the match looks like a fixing in many ways. There are disputable descision by the umpire. Many people did lose their bet on live betting as CSK was nearing a win. I had always supported MI against CSK but can't decide how to explain yesterday's match.

Match fixing is always a major issue with cricket matches... but I am not sure whether there was any involvement of the bookies yesterday. There were too many dropped catches during the second innings. And the simple catch dropped by Quinton de Cock was the most suspicious one. Also, the run-out of Watson looked suspicious for me. He was not even trying to get back.... but that may be due to fatigue and exhaustion. Anyway, it was a very entertaining match that we had yesterday.

The umpiring in this edition of IPL was downright horrible. They need to really improve in the future seasons. Examples in final match:

- 100% wide ball given not a wide : Pollard lost it
- From one angle, MSD looked out. Another angle suggested he was not out which is why the benefit of doubt should have gone to MSD. Horrible decision by the guy who kicked down a door after his argument with Virat : Nigel Llong etc
