What happened to the prize? It was at like 190 BTC yesterday. Now it's at 170 BTC.

As shown by the amount 25.2918117 was weird.
I was contacted by that person and they had a "copy and paste clipboard brain fart". They meant to send the amount to someone else but had the wrong address in the clipboard.
That amount is being refunded to the sending address. (I can't send it back to a different addresses to prevent anyone trying to scam me.)
I was excited that someone else other than Otoh was making a large payment. We should be able to get back up there soon though!

Someone on reddit mentioned that "99% payout of funds!" makes it sound like 99% of what a person pays is won back.
I may not be the best at English but isn't it clear from my slogan that 99% of funds received are paid to the winner?

Agreed. Rather than splintering the amount that would be wagered among multiple jackpots, this is a bigger jackpot with options for those who wish to substitute higher payout for a greater chance to win.

personally I'm for always allowing larger payments & then you just chop them up in to 0.25 tickets in house & allocate them to the pool until it fills then to the next one etc, seems simplest to me but I may have missed something about why using only 0.25 ticket tx are easier, I'd go for consistency across the site unless there's some clear advantage to do it this way

I was wondering if that was you! LOL. You always seem to test what happens when people make weird payments! I have been thinking that perhaps I should change it to any multiple of 0.25 just like the main draw address. If they make a larger payment they should know they will likely show up in one group of 10. So a payment of 1 BTC means they will be grouped with the other 1.5 BTC.
Or does the rules as is make it a little more simple? (If someone wants to make multiple payments it wouldn't take long since it's less than 10)

yep, as promised that was me, already plenty enough for a BFL Single or for that matter a plane ticket to just about anywhere in the world

The hash to make all tickets for that pool will be: 3b11a5be6db66fa610778ebabfcb489b615866b23933eca1176a75f839a650d2 (IF the bad payment was indeed the first hash to be sorted in Block 179967, it would have been ignored. I'll make sure to add a note in case it ever happens in the future)

Were pretty much growing at the same rate as last month.
