If you'd read about the chips inside the D3, you'd know what you're asking is not possible. Baikal have been designed this way, you cannot physically change these chips to allow other algos.

D3 Antminer profitability is very low because of the high unit sales of Bitmain . So, X11 algorithm can not afford that much demand.
Bitmain is responsible for this disturbing situation because of the massive role of this market . it is also the only part of solution.
We are asking them to release a new firmware update and provide hashing capability of newer algorithms...

I received yesterday two D3 and put them on work. After one hour two boards went faulty. I applied the Firmware Upgrade and till now everything is very stable and Chips Temp is not going over 76 and hash-rate is more than 19G, some time 20G.
I recommend everybody the Firmware Upgrade.

i feel completely shafted with the whole "d3" as much as everybody else.

What we must remember is X11 is new and there is a STRONG change it will bounce back with force including new coins launching.

We may still see ROI be hopeful Cheesy
