Why are the links not on their official website? How do we know this legit? Or will it be placed on the official website soon?

Furthermore, in case it's legit, is the possibility to select units greyed out, because the units are already sold out, or is it because the option to select units is not available yet?

The answers are already in the thread.

But yes, legit, released here first for us nice forum types, and they are greyed out because they are not available till 11pm Beijing time.

So where are you folks finding these pages with s9's batch 10 or 11? I usually check Bitmain a couple times a day and for s9's so far only see the gray link batch9....

i hate to tell all the early s9 adopters i told ya so....but i told ya so.

now onto the batch 10 listing....did you guys notice it said sold out at $1400?? while the other listing said up coming at a set btc amount?? i know this was mentioned before buy the guy above but to me it looks like bitmain provided the batch 10 link to some customers and sold them in bulk to them at $1400 each and they are reusing the listing for us after everyone already purchased their fill. the batch 12 looks like a new listing though because it has the same pricing model as the first few batches of s9's where they charged a set btc amount so maybe thats the pricing scheme by default. but if the batch 10 wasnt a recycled listing i doubt it would say "sold out" and ould say "up coming" but since it doesnt it makes me think it was a recycled listing. cant prove it but what do you guys think??

they sold s9's to early dedicated adopters at 21-2300 bucks a pop and now people like me that waited patiently for better numbers can now get them for 1400-$1550 each plus shipping with roi numbers that surpass the first set of batches numbers.....if only they listened to me and the few others that warned buying now was a mistake....they just wanted to make as much as they can before the halving praying on people that didnt know ne better.

price was dropped from 1700 to 1550  not sure what to do as I have cheap power in the solar array.

It looks more and more like the 900ph of s-7's and avalon 6s  are in trouble as viable miners.

Those prices are stupid. After all this waiting I think I'm going to invest my 6 grand in something else. Such a disappointment...

Agreed that the prices are too high.  It also looks like they are pushing people to buy the lower hashrate unit for whatever reason.  The lower hashrate one is 4.8Th/BTC while the higher hashrate one is 4Th/BTC.  That's a large difference in terms of which is more economical.

EDIT: I guess I should say though that I prefer the prices being too high to being too low.  The price drop on the S7's was faster than the earnings from mining so that later buyers were rewarded for not buying earlier.  I am actually glad to not see that happening with the S9's so far.

They are pushing the lower hash rate units to the end users because Bitmain is filling their farm with the good full hash rate units and also taking the full hash rate models and shipping them to their large customers .... We the little miners, we get the scraps... the QC failed units.

I'm pretty much done mining BTC with the S7's till I get solar panels... till then, I'm cranking up GPU mining on Ethereum and Dash

Well they haven't even gone on sale yet and the price on the high hash units was dropped by a good margin so they are both close to 4.8Th/BTC now. (Although the lower hashing unit is still slightly more economical.)

I still have four batch 5/S7's to save for mining with solar as well.  Especially, if and/or when bitcoin goes to the moon in price.  They are currently protected inside their box I received them in.

Bitmain have been pieces of shit since the S4 fiascos in my books.

Bitcoin home mining is dead not because of power requirements or other such bullshit, it's dead because of the ASIC monopoly. Very, very sad.

Yes, totally agree!  It is a sad time for bitcoin and bitcoin mining at present.  Something needs to be done about this monopoly for sure.

I nominate Bitmain for the worst bitcoin mining gear manufacturer of the Year. This is a prime example of what happens to a monopoly.

Bitcoin core developers are partially to blame as well, they should've anticipated the monopoly and done something about it. Monopoly is bad for bitcoin mining, yet the core developers are condoning it. This is not going to end well for the regular users.

Yes, that's why I am now rewarding myself by NOT buying S9 earlier and maybe later as well.
It feels good so far.
Comparing S9 (11.85 Th) to S7, S9 is worth maybe $1000 or even less ($900) with 4% difficulty increment.

Totally agree!  The only people who should purchase at this time are those with FREE electricity.  Even then, it can take a long time to ROI.

Bitmain, is simply selling all of their used S7's in their farms to replace with S9's.  The majority of S9's manufacturered are flowing into their own farms.  Which is fine... it's their device.  They can do whatever they want to do with it.  I'm happy I sold all of my S7's at the end of February and beginning of March at an average of $810 each.

I'm one of those who had to learn the hard way about buying ASIC's from manufacturers.  It's not worth it unless your power costs are next to nothing.  Even then, it's a gamble because you have no idea what Bitmain or other manufacturers will add to the network hash rate.

Also, the support has been terrible lately.  That too is a gamble in itself.  You fork out tons of money on a rig(s) in the hope they do not deny your request if needed for repair or replacement by HONORING their warranty.

EDIT:  If you absolutely must order the S9, it's not worth the risk unless you order from Yoshi in the USA.  PERIOD...  You will pay more for it but it's worth it for the peace of mind.

***** WARNING *****

If Bitmain send you a faulty S9  - they will not repair or refund you.

Their Warranty is worth nothing, They will lie to you, ignore you - whatever to avoid replacing faulty goods.

Anyone who wants to join me in a class-action lawsuit - please message me.

I have spent over 20,000 USD with Bitmain - yet they refuse to honor their warranty.

My S9 was DOA - 1 dead board the same day I switched it on. Another board died 60 days later.

Bitmain deserve to go bust. LETS SUE THEM.

No offense to what you are trying to do. But my experience's have been different. A little slow but they have never denied me a warranty issue.
Sorry to hear you are having trouble getting them to warranty your board. What are they telling you?
