Always ask questions. #StandWithHongKong
Hello everyone,

Can you answer my question please?.....

It will be available after the scheduled time.

What is the "scheduled" time now then - & how long after? It's been a month since the last "scheduled" time frame passed.

After all, you are legally required to do this:

Quote
S9's firmware package with bmminer's binary application file is in preparing, Need get some files from ALTERA FPGA's project. We will upload the sdk of S9 which can be used to create S9's firmware package. The estimation time is about next week.

Please feel free to contact us if there is any question.

Best regards,
Andy
Bitmain

Edit: Aaand offline they go again - that's the second time Bitmain have avoided answering this question.....

I am beginning to think that Bitmain are trying to hide something from us - why else would they deliberately break the Open Source GPL Licensing terms by stealing someone's code & then refuse to show what changes they have made, despite promising to do so?

Huh
So where are you folks finding these pages with s9's batch 10 or 11? I usually check Bitmain a couple times a day and for s9's so far only see the gray link batch9....

links to follow

here they are:

Dear Bitcoiners,

After an overwhelming number of queries asking about the next S9 batch, we are happy to announce the release of two more limited-edition batches tomorrow (16 August 2016) at 23:00 (Beijing time, GMT+8).

Batch 10 and batch 11 can deliver a hashrate of 11.85TH/s and 12.93TH/s, respectively.

We suggest you confirm your order here (https://goo.gl/iVJKlC) for batch 10 or here (https://goo.gl/cP8UKA) for batch 11 while stock lasts.

Happy mining,

the Bitmain team

Well hell, both sold out already  Cry

no  they never open they just read sold out.  read bitmain's response to me on bottom of this post

The pages were up this afternoon, around 1400 Pacific time - I almost decided to pull the trigger on a couple of the 11.83 TH units, but had errands to run - and the pages had poofed (except via the direct links in this thread) by the time I got home.

Guess I'm still waiting to either (1) accumulate enough bitcoin to get a 3-unit preorder of the Innosilicon A4, or (2) waiting to see what else shows up in the next month or two.

I suspect chip availaibility on ANY 14/16nm stuff is going to be spotty for a while - look at how hard it is for NVidea and AMD to keep THEIR new cards in stock anywhere - that's  NOT a small number of wafers involved....

Ended up picking up another S9, sent the bitcoin to the address they gave me, order expired... I'm assuming after emailing them that they can manually adjust this? Has this happened to anyone else?

This happens all the time.  It'll be fine as long as the payment actually got confirmed.

It has happened to others in the past. If your wallet shows the BTC as sent - and preferably has a few confirms on it - then the order went through and Bitmain's system will catch up with a conf email in a day or so.

That's reassuring, hoping i didn't just lose out on a nice chunk of change. I appreciate the response!  Grin

When you order they send an email to you.

Reply to the email tell them you paid and give them the tx id.

You should get an auto response and they will update in under a day.

Reckon they'll do like they've done a couple times before and reopen sales in a couple hours once we're all panicking and desperate?

I'd be a lot happier if they sold you some chips
Or at least finally put up a data sheet on them. For all the other chips in the BM family, data sheets were up soon after their miners using them were up for sale.

Biggest problem *this time* in getting Bitmain to even talk about selling chips is the safe bet that TSMC no doubt still has a cap on how many wafers of boutique 16nm chips Bitmain can get per-month. That said, all are slated for Bitmains consumption only (Ants) with none planned for loose chip sales.

Its a VERY VERY large -IF- ...... for me .... to jump on the S9 bandwagon

If BTC's value starts to go to the moon...
&
If the cost of the S9 drops....
&
If I start building a solar array to supplement power.... $0.13111/kWh is not cheap....

Till then, my S7's are sitting awaiting a solar array.... realistically, they may never mine again.... --I-- many never mine BTC again, just too many ifs to line up to make it profitable again with a half-way decent ROI on any new equipment purchased....

I am resisting for now.  But if BTC goes up some more I might bite on one more.  I have one more S7 to replace.  I sure wish there was another mining manufacturing option available.

And boy howdy! Bitmain's main wallet is smokin' busy now!

That is a lot of ph coming online.
Ja.
Even accounting for folks like me who will be taking 3x s7's offline to free up power and replacing them with the 2x s9's it is still gonna make for a big bump in hashrate.

WOW!
Looks like the Antminer S9 Batch 11 is sold out ALREADY!
well that was fast...
Pays to check a few times. At 12:09p Eastern I just got confirmation on 2x of the batch-11's Cheesy

I was always planning on the batch 10  so I am happy enough to get it.
I literally flipped a coin to pick b10 or 11. Good bit is that the b11 gives me a touch more range to UC if needed..

im confused about your numbers....at the top you total dont include import taxes for the miner it seems. at the bottom you show prices that seem to include import taxes....sorta like your making your nurs look better then they really are. also the price ofbtc hasnt been 670 euros since june 19th which is fell sharply soon after that....like next day soon lol. that means you only mined at these numbers for a couple of days at most before the fall but thats if the miners arrived on time which im sure you did get a few solid days of mining. another thing i didnt see were costs for repairs...was it you that had issues with boards not working? if so the speed and or cost of sending the board/boards back should also be factored into your above numbers.

yes the first batch is a little fast but many of the people running them underclocked them because they were highly unstable at those speeds and if you got yours to run at full speed great but u would be one of the only people to actually pull that off so im not sure i see that being likely but more power to you. i also didnt factor in the cost of your power....how much do u pay per kwh??

anyone that paid before the halving got screwed. unless you have free power....free rent....free internet....live in ur moms basement....free import taxes (no one has this)....and any number of other highly unlikely things (but not imposible but i doubt everything applies to you) with ur setup the roi dates didnt make it worth it not to mention the price of btc went DOWN making the roi dates even further down the line then they were before. i think if ur gonna post numbers they should be the same one accross the board not ones missing key info at the top and ones that include key info at the bottom. key info being import taxes. keep all prices in one currency too. dont start with usd at the top and finish with euros at the bottom to fudge the numbers a bit. if you want to do the prices in euros do it in euros and same goes for usd just dont mix in a little of both.

I did not calculating with VAT, but it is easy to add -VAT = 20%
This was because the same 20% amount must be added to the current purchase.

I did not include the return of the 5 hasboards from total  63 blades or shipping costs to warranty- 70 x 5 =350 euro,.

You can also today purchase miner with D.O.A. hasboard.  I'm even pretty sure that batch10 and batch11 miners need warranty repair, especially center blades.

That missing key was not mine blade and problem. I always  make  photos before shipping to china.  So they can  not lie to me.

EUR USD exchange rate is variable , But it was a good rate for paing Batch1 miners with USD exchanging from euro.

I do not have a rent in ovn  house and I have the internet anyway for television.  My electricity price is 0.095 euro to 0.098 euro for kW/h

roi after how many months?

well over a year not including the diff increases (in Wisconsin with $0.13111kWh electric rate )

edit: WE Energies residential rate is $0.13111 ... not $0.14111 as originally posted. ( damn fat fingers )
