Well I just noticed Bitmain changed my Dec 21-30 batch order to Jan 11-20! Wtf

Oddly enough my order, actually 4 separate orders of  1x S9's that was supposed to be delivered Jan 21-30... I got early.  Dec 27.   The orders were put in in the last week of November and first week of December.  I wasn't going to complain.  I thought someone canceled a big order so more became available.  Even another guy I know locally here got his and he ordered his after me, and got it a few days after me.  His was supposed to be Jan 21-30 as well.  If I knew they were going to be that quick I would have ordered more.

They did ship all 4 of mine within 1 or 2 days of each other.. It was over Chritmas, so i ended up getting them all on the same day.  27th.

So I sold off the last of my ASIC a few years back but have been considering buying a few new toys recently.   I've found an s9 that does the 13.5 TH for sale as new.   They are only asking 1600 USD.  To me this is fishy as hell given the prices I've seen on ebay.   They claim to be shipping from the UK.  Worth the role of the dice? Smiley

Depends where you found it. eBay is safe for a buyer, I've heard not safe for a seller, Amazon is safe for a buyer. Are you paying in coin or credit card?

Just for the record I have a late January order that is to be delivered Tuesday according to the tracking numbers. Guess some of us are happy and others frustrated.

Same here

Yup, I'm happy that half of our January orders have shipped - but it's certainly hard to plan with Bitmain pulling stuff like this. It would go a long way if they would simply email their customers to explain the delay.
Thing is, they have delays and at the same time they shipped some orders early. I received my Jan orders a couple of weeks back, a month early. This looks like they actually have a fucking mess.

Yeah my Jan 21 came dec 20!

And now my dec 21 will come Jan 21 so. It is a push.

More gpus is my reaction to the delay

This wouldn't be as frustrating for me if these weren't my 1st 2 miners of 3 I have on order. almost $6k out in hardware cost alone with 0 income until they arrive hurts!

Happened to me too. I had 2 sets of orders for Dec 21-30 made about a day apart. They pushed back the second one about a month ago, and now they pushed back the first one.

S9 will be in the market for a long time. If you are Bitmain, why would you want to release any new product when existing product still hit a 3 month ROI...

Let alone the limitation of silicon chip being reached. Efficiency comes with size reduction...   you cant expect wafer fab to have fast development as the past 20 yrs anymore. We are reaching the limit already.

bitmain is working on a new 7 nm ASIC. halong mining is offering 16 TH miner in march`2018.

Are you pulling up that info out of your ass, or you have source to link for that information?

The Bitmain claim is being discussed here. I'm not buying the rumors just yet.

7nm for ASIC chip is not confirmed....

I received my Jan21 Batch yesterday. 2 out of 3.   I ordered 1 on nov 28 thru DHL. The next day 1 DHL, 1 UPS.

Both DHL arrived together yesterday. UPS still has not shipped. Duty tax was $47 per unit.

47$ not much...
