I got in contact with them about my Jan 21-30 order being shipped but none of my Dec 10- 20 or Dec 20-30 orders being shipped and they told me that none of those will ship until after January 2nd. Doesn't make much sense to me but oh well!

Well I am in the same situation as you.
I never had an Antminer but I want to buy one.
I am in EU, and can pay only with visa card, or try to buy bitcoins with card to pay.
So I was looking on alibaba site for at least one month, but like you I don't know who to trust.

There are sellers with videos, and have their company name written on a paper.
I will try to post links here, hope I don't break any kind of rule.
This should provide proof that they are legit, but again, maybe there is at least one person in this world who bought one from alibaba and happens to have an account here and can help us out!
All of them have Transaction numbers (6 months) and 1/4/6 years registered on alibaba.

2) https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/hot-sale-fast-delivery-antminer-bitcoin_60707529187.html?spm=a2700.7724838.2017115.24.8415ad9CDeRNw

4) https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Quicky-delivery-for-bitmain-antminer-S9_60701909360.html?spm=a2700.7724838.2017115.303.8415ad9CDeRNw

One information I can provide is that they asked me what TH do I want? 13.5 or 14? and when do I want it because the price differs. Like if I want it in 1 week is 5000 USD, 1 month 4000-3000 USD and so one.

It would be extremely helpful if someone who bought from them can come with a feedback to help out people who have only credit card.

Cheers!

can somebody tell me what wrong with my S9 miner?? Just run for one month. Can I fix it at home??? please help me
Looks like a board gave up. Try power cycle it, see if it comes back.
do you mean restart the miner???
Yes, unplug it, wait a couple of mins, plug it back again. Maybe save the kernel log if you haven't rebooted yet? Maybe the board comes back up? Kernel log after the reboot may tell you what is going on with that board. Also look at the red led in the board, when mine broke that led never turned on again.
The led still red, this is what my kernel log last show, anything helped??

Hi, try these steps.
1.Disconnect all power supply lines.
2.Disconnect all communication cable. Carefull each have latch, press firm and pull. Inspect it/straighten cable.
3.Swap communication cable position between boards, install it back. Most likely card on left (from exhaust fan position) is having this issue.
4.Again re-attach power supply. Fire up.

I don't have experience in this field specifically, but I have had dealings with Alibaba manufacturers before. Short answer, no.

There is no Antminer S9 version with 90 pieces BM1387 ASIC chips.

Makes me wonder if it is a typo. I have seen it on another site

for example:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MCZVPFE/?tag=cryptoguide-20

The description is at the bottom of the page.

Product description
Size:13.5 TH/s

*POWER SUPPLY IS NOT INCLUDED*
If you have 220v-264v power, then Bitmain recommends using the APW3++ power supply.
If you have 110v-120v power (standard power outlets in the US), then the following power supplies have been confirmed to work well:
-Bitmain's APW5 -EVGA's SuperNova 1600G2

AntMiner S9 Specifications:
1. Hash Rate: 13.5 TH/s ±5%
2. Power Consumption: 1323W ±10% (at the wall, with APW3++, 93% efficiency, 25C ambient temp)
3. Power Efficiency: 0.098 W/GH ±7%(at the wall, with APW3++, 93% efficiency, 25°C ambient temp)
4. Rated Voltage: 11.60 ~13.00V
5. ASIC Chip: 90 x BM1387
6. Dimensions: 350mm(L)*135mm(W)*158mm(H)
7. Cooling: 2x 12038 fans
8. Operating Temperature: 0 °C to 40 °C
9. Network Connection: Ethernet (network cable not included)
10. Default Frequency: 650M

Typo confirmed. It should be updated soon.

Hi All,

I was looking to buy the Bitmain Antminer S9 13.5 TH/s from an online company in the UK. They claim the unit is directly from Bitmain. The only difference on the specs on their site was the chips.

It is the same 13.5 TH/s units ?

Description from Bitmain Site:
AntMiner S9 Specifications:
1. Hash Rate: 13.5 TH/s ±5%
2. Power Consumption: 1323W ±10% (at the wall, with APW3++, 93% efficiency, 25C ambient temp)
3. Power Efficiency: 0.098 W/GH ±7%(at the wall, with APW3++, 93% efficiency, 25°C ambient temp)
4. Rated Voltage: 11.60 ~13.00V
5. ASIC Chip: 189 x BM1387
6. Dimensions: 350mm(L)*135mm(W)*158mm(H)
7. Cooling: 2x 12038 fans
8. Operating Temperature: 0 °C to 40 °C
9. Network Connection: Ethernet (network cable not included)
10. Default Frequency: 650M

Description from Online site:
AntMiner S9 Specifications:
1. Hash Rate: 13.5 TH/s ±5%
2. Power Consumption: 1323W ±10% (at the wall, with APW3++, 93% efficiency, 25C ambient temp)
3. Power Efficiency: 0.098 W/GH ±7%(at the wall, with APW3++, 93% efficiency, 25°C ambient temp)

5. ASIC Chip: 90 x BM1387
6. Dimensions: 350mm(L)*135mm(W)*158mm(H)
7. Cooling: 2x 12038 fans
8. Operating Temperature: 0 °C to 40 °C
9. Network Connection: Ethernet (network cable not included)
10. Default Frequency: 650M

The only real difference are the chips.
189 x BM-1387 and your unit shows 90 x BM1387

Anyone have any idea if this is the same unit ?

TIA,
Ed, aka-mcptrman

You have been fucked.

What country do you live in?

If the USA contac bitmainwarranty.

Sending it to China is worse.

Sending to bitmainwarranty is not free but will cost less and get done faster.

THE JAN ORDER may count as a 2018 sale for taxes so by shipping it now it still means they pay taxes for it  after 2018.

The dec order if shipped on Jan may count as a 2018 sale for taxes so they won't pay taxes until after 2018.

This is not really how corporate taxes work. Tax authorities does not really care which batch etc you name your product, invoice dates define which tax period you need to report it into.

It quite interesting though that they are so dynamic with their shipping time frames. As long as it is in the positive surprise territory it's all good Smiley

I have many years of accounting but only in the USA and it would not work for USA taxes.  As for Chinese laws and bitmain’s obligations I would be clueless as to their rules.

Who knows how taxes work in China Smiley And who knows what is bitmain''s fiscal year if that concept even makes sense with respect to their tax laws. It is indeed very weird that they shipped Jan batches so early. But if I had to bet, knowing a thing or two about corporations, I'd bet they just have a fucking mess Smiley
