11:00 AM in Germany, still no answer, nothing. There's no magicaltux on IRC either.

The situation is getting now more and more critical.
After the last downtime the server start running again at about 12:00 Germany time. We will see in a few minutes (now 11:35 Germany time).

The AUTOVPS support is absolutely unacceptable.
You already mentioned to switch to other VPS service provider.
How much do you depend on AUTOVPS to keep your business running?
Let's assume the worst case. What will happen if AUTOVPS can not start your VPS again and the data is lost?

Do you have a recent off-site backup of your site, database, software and data? If so, how about setting up a quick VPS somewhere else under a second domain name? You can use that as a backup server once your current VPS comes back up?

Yep, and we just missed out on 2 very nice arb days due to these downtimes.

So its all pretty bad timing :/

It must depend a lot on the day then.

I think the "up to 5% a day" is under superior conditions, so far Ive ranged in the 0.5%-1.5% a day range which is quite acceptable.

Hey all,

I'd just like to say that this is a scam.  I mean you all have caught onto the fact, but let's be honest here:

5% per day compounded = 1.05 ^ 360 = nearly a 42 million percent return per year.  Let's assume that you did this with 1 bitcoin...yeah, you see where I'm going here.

Additionally, offering a percent return is one of the warning signs of a charlatan / scam on the Chicago Futures Trading Commission's guide to the FOREX industry found here:

http://www.cftc.gov/opa/enf98/opaforexa15.htm

This is a complete scam, please do not be a fool and be parted with your money!

http://bible.org/seriespage/fool-proverbs-261-11

Everyone ignored me the first time round. Nobody said "oh yeah, so it is" or "no, you're reading it wrongly" which seemed odd. But it appeared to me on the day I looked not to be 5% (1 in 20) per day but instead about 1 in 200.

But before my post it was established that 5% is a maximum not a guaranteed per day.

If either turtle or 10 21 works then why not use thease to set up something like bitscalper instead?

Can the DNN bot actually make a profit after allowing for commission on those default values or is it there needing a tweak to the strategy?
I tried different settings but declining market, it brings only loss ....

In your opinion how much of a gaining market does it need before it offsets the fees?
Also, does it reduce losses in a declining market?
When the course falls, it only increases losses. When the market very changeable - I do not know, I want to try soon. There the only linear boat.
I would say it decreases losses when its dropping but decreases gains when its rising, but you have to change the default settings, they are very conservative

I love mtgox exchange but that excuse sounds like total crap, if they host with any datacentre then that datacentre would have 24/7 which includes weekend support.

This however could be exactly why you are having so many issues, it could be hosted from some crappy home connection o_0

i remember another phrase:

is this a support channel or what ?
<@MagicalTux> bitscalper: as I said earlier, there is no way to get in touch with the billing support in germany during weekends

Thats crazy. Internet and Internet services can't have days off.

Yeah, that's inexcusable. Even if they are a small company (and even small hosting companies should have a 24/7 NOC) they could at least keep someone on call for the weekends. This is just being cheap or lazy, or both.

I understand that Bitscalper is in its starting phase, but this would be a good time to learn that the number one rule of IT is to not put all eggs in one basket. If you would have invested in another VPS, getting the system up and running while the first VPS isn't working could be done quickly.
