Basic verification doesn't exist. They trick you into filling out personal info, deny that 'basic verification' they offer and thus extort you for your ID. That's downright scamming people.

I can also confirm that bittrex is SCAM.
Been using bittrex for more than 3 years, had legacy account, and now I can't pass verification, and of course i have many funds on exchange especially altcoins.

Support does NOT exist, waiting for 20 days for ticket, and got nothing.
I am not us citizen, but will try to fill this form if I got no answer from support. https://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx

Also here is quote from some reddit user
"KEEP OUT OF BITTREX! BITTREX IS A SCAM and full of shit! I traded two years on Bittrex, and never expect they will become junk like this! They block thousands accounts without any reason and keep users money hostage! They pump up coins and blocking wallets or deposits, so keep competitors off! I asked my 3 friends to test BITTREX. All of us US citizens with all online verified public info. AND NONE OF US CAN PASS Bittrex verification! (all used real names, real address, real ss#).!!! We make little test deposits to open Bittrex accounts. But when we tried to withdraw, all were denied! as "unverified" accounts! In all, 3 cases, no any response from Bittrex at all! NOW BITTREX obviously SCAM! BE AWERE AND KEEP OUT"

1. if you deposit a large amount, they will disable your account and never reply.
2. if you contact their support they will not rely.
3. if you try to log in they will change your desk login details and then you are not allowed to reset your password.
4. You can not take your money back either!
5. Their verifications don't work on top of it, you are stuck in limbo.

They stole all of my money, took me for everything and I have never used them even once. They are truly the lowest form of scum on this planet. This is a warning to all to PULL OUT your money now as they are going to take you all for everything you have.

1. bullshit auto response that makes absolutely no sense https://postimg.org/image/hpsrl3sg1/
2. https://postimg.org/image/se13xorsx/ -  look my account is disabled on my first ever try, well I better go verify my phone number and promptly resolve this issue
3. https://postimg.org/image/g0o9qs24h/- This is 100% without question the code.  I am not going to take a picture of me looking at the phone writing this down. Guess I can't verify, oh well how about fuck them and I'll simply take my money back
4. https://gyazo.com/1bc9e156c0a30211ec5f88b596f3501d Well fuck me again, how about I read about the disabled accounts on their page to find out why a month busting my ass in two jobs is being held up
5. https://bittrex.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000240791 Nothing, what about that? Shall I keep going?

I am so so angry at this that my head hurts, i'll take a rest but I will dig more evidence later. Let this be a lesson to you all, if they are selectively scamming the little guy, imagine how badly they are going to fuck up a few of the big ones.

thanks very much; you saved our bitcoins

After reading this thread, I just sold all my altcoins, just put in a btc withdrawal request.
Got Txid.
Lost a good chunk in the altcoin blood bath but I decided to just keep everything in btc for now.

Thanks guys

Good decision, I'm surprised that people still want to trade there after all this, do they not know or do they just not care? Everyone else, keep spamming their twitter. https[Suspicious link removed]xchange

Bittrex is doing a good job hidding the news, probably they're paying the news media to don't publish any bad new about Bittrex.

It does kind of look that way, they haven't made any statement anywhere about their problems and they seem to ban people on different channels that complain about it. There are only a few sites that did publish the news against bittrex.

Out of curiosity, did most people have their accounts locked or reset to 'new' only after they deposited a significant sum for the FIRST time, or did they deposit/withdraw large-ish sums repeatedly before randomly getting screwed?

My experience has been the latter. I've deposited and withdrawn large-ish amounts many times over the years with no trouble, and then randomly they decided to screw me when I deposited a much smaller amount recently. Weird.

Are you talking about USD? It seems that people get locked/disabled when they deposit usd, right? I personally have deposited a good sum of btc and other cryptos and I haven't been disabled, this was before trying to get verified, I never tried to deposit after that.

No, I deposited alts, not USD. And, again, it was a smaller amount than I have deposited many times in the past. As soon as I did, my account went from the classic 1337 BTC Legacy limit (which really just means 1 BTC) to 0.025, and as soon as I actually tried to withdraw 0.025 (again in alts), it immediately went to 0.

If you want your ticket to receive Bittrex support, read the details here, I hope it can help you.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/deleted-2525770

Don't fall for scams guys, if you really want the ticket to be seen faster you can use the 2fa ''trick''. You can send them another ticket but using ''disable 2fa'' and telling them you need your 2fa to be disabled. They will ask you for your balance, a few transaction ids and IP to disable your 2fa. You should give them all that + Id and Id+selfie+piece of paper with date and bittrex written on it.
but can't you simply disable 2FA on your settings page? why would they react on that in the support section?

The point is to make them answer you. You are ''tricking'' them into believing you can't access your account, this triggers their system and you will get an automated response. You can then respond to that ticket with your id and selfie and it seems that they will check it faster that way.
they've indeed answered quite quickly ... but only by +- posting a link to a FAQ ... still not verified

I have read from more experienced guys in this forum warning people not to keep their coins in exchanges. They sure will have reasons for this decision. It should be used for exchange and not to store it.
