X3 looks nice btw, one of the first bitcoin asic system designs that appears to make total sense (from cooling perspective).

I agree. Nice clean front-to-back airflow, no wasted space hampering air flow. Best design I've seen.

X-3 has 3 large fans cooling 10 minions, seems like X-1 needs at least a small fan or heatsink is the only thing cooling it down?

X3 seems to have 6 fans. Either way, you are going to need active cooling.

X3 looks nice btw, one of the first bitcoin asic system designs that appears to make total sense (from cooling perspective).
And the fact they are underclocking their chips to achieve their promised power efficiency also implies that these machines should be able to overclock by 50%, provided you can supply the required power and keep them cool.

Yea.. 6 fans cooling 20 minions across 2 units.. or 3 fans cooling 10 per unit.. either way sounds like 1 minion would need to be cooled with more than a heatsink.  The site says the unit is silent..

The X-3 has always been a 2x3u design.

No information on the X-1 at the moment. I'll see if I can dig up some more info.

If you ordered a miner, the order itself doesn't reserve your placement. We reserve placement based on the time you paid.

If you're having an issue with your order, please submit a ticket (one) and then PM me the ticket number so we can track it.

If you have a ticket that's been updated without a response, PM me the ticket number.

Don't expect a response via bitcointalk. I have a 5 minute delay between messages and that's just enough time for me to find another task. Hopefully that cool down period goes away soon.

Would love to get more info on the X-1.  Any hint on the dimensions of each unit?  Also is it completely silent, meaning no fan, or close to silent?  X-3 has 3 large fans cooling 10 minions, seems like X-1 needs at least a small fan or heatsink is the only thing cooling it down?

With respect, Matt, I've given up on trying to get a response out of you folks, with regards to resolving my early December order status.

 Not cool.

It doesn't sound like their chips are going to be as efficient as they originally claimed.
Two cases for 2000GH/s makes me think it's going to be closer to 1W/GH!
They explain this on their website in their forums.
"We have our final specs for the Minion. Based on our library (we can only simulate the TT corner which is 0.85v @ 25C) and the power consumption is 0.6-0.65W/Ghash. We trust that underclocked and underpowered the Minion will achieve under 0.5W/ghash as promised.
This is not as good as our first simulations which were based only on Front End but this is where we need to stop. The time does not allow us to continue our effort towards seeking a lower power consumption.
We had to drop the frequency from 1.5Ghz to 1.0Ghz in order to achieve this efficiency. However we've increased the number of cores so the Minion will hash at the speed promised.
We had met all the timings for 1.5Ghz but the efficiency was 0.8W/Ghash and this is not something we could have accepted."
Try to reach them on skype, there are 2 guys there almost all the time: alex27a and blackarrowsoftware.
Hope this helps.

Really? I cannot see it even now, it just says 2000GH/s.

http://www.blackarrowsoftware.com/store/prospero-x-3.html
"This would raise the speed up to 2560 Ghash/second but will increase the power dramatically which will not be supported by the supplied PSU.
 -2000 Ghash/second
 -Easy to use
 -Out of the box functionality
 -Low power per Gigahash
 -Compact design
 -Efficiency (including leakage): 0.6 W/Ghash/second
This is a PRE-ORDER (Batch 2), available for dispatch at end of April 2014"

It doesn't sound like their chips are going to be as efficient as they originally claimed.

It was there, but disappeared some time ago.

It's discussed in several places on the BA forum...

So roughly 800 watts per TH/s total system power. I'd much rather have 2x 800 watt boxes/power supplies than a single 1600 watt box/power supply.

How can i verify that the BTC address sent by email,
corresponds to my order?

The BTC address is not listed on the order page, nor on the invoice.
I would expect it to see on the invoice,

if a payment is done in dollars, its shown on invoice.

Also people are not responding @black arrow.
Open tickets are changed of status, without any help.

Would like to pay,
the amount is not peanuts, little assistance would be kind...

Scam-Busting PSA: Beware of Black Arrow Software

Hi BA-Matt, Do you know if a form-factor has been agreed for how the X1's will ship yet (any enclosures/bare boards etc)? I want to know what sort of PSU you'll be using, and if it's a standard sort, could we optionally request that the units be be sent with no PSU? This will reduce the chance of problems getting them through customs, and the lower goods-value on the custom form would help with duties.  - To be clear: I'm not asking for a retrospective discount for No PSU, just not sending one, and deducting the cost of this from the custom declaration etc, if you see what I mean?

There are New X-3 photos on BA site, tried to post them here but not able.

Well looks like they got the BFL curse of underestimating the power requirements and heat output.

X-3 now comes in 2 cases? Wink

It was said on description page that it consists of 2 units for quite some time on the website.
