Look, who doesn't enjoy a little bit of mystery every now and then...
all I'm sayin is there's a difference between mystery and deception.

Recently it became to be very hard to understand and spot this mystery and reception difference. There are many cases when the mystery turned out to be a deception and you spot it when it is already too late."

Also, DStrange was active in parallel to Jenny for quite a while, on Reddit. Here they are in the same thread.

Doomed to see the future and unable to prevent it
In your warnings distinguish between the original developer group, and the "Jenny Goldberg" group. The old group could exist yet and be alive, future of BCN remains exciting. The unsuccessful but yet planned hardfork could be a hint for leaving the original devs behind and though leave the battlefield with a good profit on the back of others.

Even if true why would anyone want to be part of this when they could be part of a new project with all the advantages and none of this scam attached. Anyone pushing this is a fool that is holding bags or a scammer off loading the pre-mine. I would have nothing to do with either.

There is no argument that I can think of that would make using or supporting bytecoin in any way a sane prospect.

I consolidated the new findings in a new thread as well. It makes it a bit easier to link to as the information is a bit dispersed.

Very nice, subbed and merited. Smiley

Nowhere in your rambling did you manage to point out any verifiable wrong doing by the Monero devs.
If you consider "not being guilty of anything" a PR campaign, than I suppose Monero is guilty of that.
I find it rather humorous that Monero's lack of suspicious activity is causing all these new accounts to whine about faul play.

We are all deficient, and nobody must blame itself. I would feel better if inhuman mankind would stop to lie to his own advantage.

It's possible. I have such an amount of Monero in my wallet, that I cannot decide, if it's too less or too much of my assets in total. In this compromise I can argument to the advantage or disadvantage over XMR or BCN or whatever. I even could help to destroy my assets, if I feel this is better for natur and humans.

Speculators tend to lie to their own advantage, because they have too much or too less of an asset.

You can make me guilty of anything, if you feel better then.

There is no clear evidence they are two different groups, though it is possible.

Nice research @BDRatings

+1
Thanks @Rethink-Your-Strategy and  BDRatings
Who thought the 'channel' releasing this Bytecoin interview was weird af..? Weird not just for the channel's low-level content itself, but more so its general obscurity...seeing as how BCN is supposedly doing a PR campaign. I have a high regard for the codebase- obviously- and immensely value the freedom gained from the technology, itself  -yet... 'oh what a tangled web we weave when first we start to deceive'.  Life is short. Honesty is a courtesy to your fellow man & held only by those of virtue.

I have realized that  BCN has after all become a textbook example on how to break Cryptonote by creating a massive ninjamine

Oh, forgot to add one thing.

AssetRush CEO David Booker(!) seems to enjoy Russian emoticons as much as all the other sockpuppets.

Some minor additions to the investigation.

* Jenny Goldberg claims as you may know to reside in or around Barcelona. It came as no surprise then when I found a meetup group, where a Jenny G is admin. It is generically called Barcelona B-chain Community, but the Bytecoin logo is utilized. Apparently I can't link it here, but just google the name and add 'meetup'. The group with its 175 members have 1 past meetup with 57 attendees. Cool, so maybe someone got to chat with Jenny then?

Looking at a couple of comments for this meetup, we find:

It is possible that anyone doesn’t know the location? It is a fake meetup?! I already asked on telegram and I received no answer! What a pity! - Theresa T

60 ppl confirmed and no one apart from us is asking about the location :/ so strange.. Idk maybe the info is somewhere else, in Telegram for example? I don't have an account so haven't check it. Anyway, given the circumstances I won't go >.< - Mariona

The meetup shows indeed no location at all. Wanting to double check, I contacted another attendee by mail. His answer: Hello, I believe it did not happen. I was waiting for the location to be announced but it never was, and people complained about it on the Meetup Comments. Would like, if possible, that you keep me updated on your investigation

So it seems Bytecoin's community manager faked a meetup. It is the first time I see a scam go to such lengths. Remember, this is the same person that is listed on the official Bytecoin webpage (https://bytecoin.org/contacts), so she is not just some hire - she is in the midst of the Bytecoin team.

* My Medium account has been suspended. Can't tie it to Bytecoin reporting but it is a possibility, so while I try to solve that I will come with updates in this thread.

Edit: Removing links, formatting.

Just had to create an account to say thank you very much to all who are supporting this topic and  shedding light on this farce, as well as exposing the BCN "team" and spam accounts as the scammers they are.

Shame on all of them.

Doomed to see the future and unable to prevent it
Detailing some new developments below. BCN value has climbed a couple of hundred million dollars since last month.

* AssetRush, the ICO promotion venture lead by Bytecoin community Manager Jenny Goldberg among others, have updated their team page. Remember those 20 or so team members, all with the same picture style? Well, they are just 7 now, of which 2 are new (https://assetrush.com/about).

* Utilizing the Twitter Archiving Project's stored data, I managed to confirm that Jenny's account was created on a computer with Russian language settings.

* David Petrachini is still listed on the team, yet his LinkedIn profile is now shut down. The now dead LinkedIn profile is still linked from the AssetRush team page (https://assetrush.com/about). All his 1400 followers must be mortified. (https://www.linkedin.com/in/david-petrachini/)

* Martina Sarto is no longer listed on the team. Her LinkedIn profile is now shut down. (https://www.linkedin.com/in/martina-sarto/)

* Jenn Bruney is no longer listed on the team. Her LinkedIn profile is shut down as well. (https://www.linkedin.com/in/jenn-bruney/)

If so, couldn't you require that all tx come with a small and instantly verifiable proof-of-work, whose difficulty scales with tx validity checking effort?
