Looks like Clipse doesnt want you to outhop him  Tongue

Anyway;  for those miners that Clipse no longer wants, and those that dont mind truth and transparency, who dont want to be limited in how they can maximize mining profits between pool hopping and gpumax, here is a solution:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-puppet-master-earn-much-more-than-110-pps-90062

Why settle for 110% anyway?

Well that was real classy.

Don't worry about me, worry about your pool Smiley

If you are making improvements feel free to take er down.

I am so sick of changing my configs.  Unless you go down for 24hrs i will just keep sending to you till you are back up.

Nah dont need to worry about such a long downtime, right now if any downtime will occur between now and when you can get backup pools configured it will surely not be longer than a few minutes at a time.

Im looking to get that fixed but its mainly due to the ton of Backup users who will have to leave by tomorrow night then these few slow work issues will be resolved.

Very good, thanks.

I will do my best to make sure the pool doesnt have any downtime since you dont have backup pools configured atm and if any downtime must occur I will try keep it as brief as possible.

You should be fine though. Smiley

Ok i have been using BAMT for like a year with not problems.

The last 3 days have been hell since i tried to get cgiminer working instead of phat2.

well lets just say it NEVER worked right.  Went thru the process in the bamt posting here about how to upgrade to the newest cgiminer in bamt.
All seemed to go fine but it just never worked.

SO i just gave up.

I just erased all the backup pools i had listed after bonus pool and am going with phat2.

So i am hard coded to here so Clipse you can't go down ok Smiley

I had to get rid of my backup pools since for some reason i was constantly switching to my backups.  Bonus pool was not down but some of my miners would switch and of course never switch back till i noticed then did a reboot.

Meanwhile a 6990 has been sitting dead in one of my other rigs for a week now while i mess with cgiminer. Who knows what the 6990's problem is.

lets just say i am not impressed with cgiminer.

PM me your setup details and I will sort those issues out for you with cgminer, for some it can be nightmarish the first time around.

You can test my suggestions on one setup and once you see it is stable for yourself switch the rest.

Thank you for the very generous offer.
Unfortunately i used up all the available time I had trying to get it working.
I know my config files are wrong but dont know enough yet how to fix them Smiley
I was trying to do everything from within bamt's config files and i think that was the problem ...

I will work more on it this weekend.  I just need to do alot more reading ... doesnt mean i have to like it ... heheh

but in the mean time i will be dedicated till i can figure it all out.

I think phat2 gives me a higher rate anyhow ... but then again what do i know since i have cgiminer configured so badly.

If I will keep at least 1 Gh/s on bonuspool, but will jump with another power? How will you look at things, as at a dedicated, or as at a jumping user?

If you can only dedicated 1GH then please keep it at 1GH only until I have the rest of setup going to support the GPUMAX/Backup user accounts.

In layman terms I will be looking at exactly that, if a user maximum hashrate goes from 1GH to 2GH and keep fluctuating back to 1GH then it will pickup and be pretty clear that userX is switching around the extra 1GH, I do not want that right now so please only keep the 1GH that you can dedicate connected.

Basicly the original rules apply, keep atleast 500MH connected at a minimum and if you add 1GH then you are expected to remain at 1GH +/- 5% for natural fluctuations etc.

I got things set up, and it seems to be mostly working.  I'm using cgminer 2.4.3, and I've seen some messages like:

Pool 0 not providing work fast enough

New block detected on network before longpoll

Are these normal/expected?

If you refer to GPUMAX/Backup users who keep connected and jumping around on/off they will be warned fairly early and if they persist then I will pay them at 90% as was the rule from the start yet I was lenient enough never to enforce it even after having multiple users who simply ignored any signup instructions given by me.

So right now I want to focus on getting things as stable as possible first for dedicated miners and then get GPUMAX/Backup users back on a seperate node and they will also be earning at a different rate to be announced once I am ready to have them back on.

URGENT NOTICE FOR GPUMAX/BACKUP POOL USERS:

I will discontinue support for backup users, this includes GPUMAX users and users who only use us as their backup pool wherever they mine otherwise when the next payment cycle start Thursday June 28, 00:00:00. I am busy working on a whole new upgrade that will be able to support on/off users such a GPUMAX / Backup users along with the Dedicated miners however I will not have it in place along with other changes by Thursday.

Dedicated miners can continue mining as usual and I will keep the rates at 110% right now for you however if you are a GPUMAX/Backup user and end up using Bonuspool on Thursday onwards you will have to either continously dedicate xGH to Bonuspool or stop using Bonuspool since I will be enforcing for the first time the anti-hopping policy with regards to Bonuspool which I have not used once since the start in February.

Right now while I work on scaling the pool I am more than happy just to deal with dedicated miners who keeps a continous reliable flow to the pool and in return I can ensure the best PPS rate along with the best performance I have to offer.

So to recap:

Dedicated miners you have no changes coming your way. Keep your hashrate stable without obvious fluctuations and you will be fine.

GPUMAX/Backup pool users you should stop pointing your hashes at Bonuspool on Thursday 28 June 00:00:00 and if you want to continue you can become a Dedicated miner by pointing a steady flow of GH at Bonuspool without obvious fluctations which I will be looking out for this time around and you will be penalised according to the original signup email.

Hopefully I can resolve the scaling fast and bring both types of miners back onto the pool however for now its just not possible with the current setup.

Feel free to email or PM me if you are unclear about the changes mentioned above and I will be happy to clarify it personally.

That's fine by me. I'm sure it is too early to ask but do you have any idea what this rate would be?

Gosh, am I ever glad my 2 Ghashes pushed us over the top to be self-sufficient!  Grin

I think this to be a very fair and reasonable solution, I know that the server was going nuts all weekend, so calming it down is only reasonable.

URGENT NOTICE FOR GPUMAX USERS:

Until further notice please dont point any traffic through GPUMAX to Bonuspool, I am blocking traffic from GPUMAX until I can resolve whatever is causing the problems from GPUMAX -> BONUSPOOL that started yesterday.

If you dont stop pointing to Bonuspool in GPUMAX there is a good chance GPUMAX admins will ban your account so please make these changes urgently.

I hope to figure this problem out soon but this is the best I can do for now.
