Winners never quit and also quitters never win. Take this as a challenge to excel. Challenges make you stronger and a better you . Merit will come when it will so do not think too much about it even though it it so much needed to rank up. Bounty campaigns can be tiring especially those that last for months but it is worth it at the end of the day if you earn from it. I have decided to follow only  bounty managers that update their stakes every week not those that wait till the end of the bounty campaign and give you what they feel like. I have taken part in bounties that I have been cheated so I understand how you feel. I do not rush any more to do bounties. I select the ones I partake. I also take part in airdrops those I also select in anticipation of getting a gem .

At first, I am so eager to join most of the Bounty Campaigns, I even ignored Airdrops. But lately, I feel like it's so tiring. Some campaign don't even update the sheet and not even paying us tokens. So you feel like not interested anymore. All those efforts are worthless. Additionally with this Merit system, It felt so useless. My activities and posts are way more than qualified but still merit is nowhere to be found. I tried to create replies, and posts nicely and formally like "Jose Rizal" or even "Nicholas Sparks" but still no chance, it makes me anxious. I think this is the punishment for the late bloomer in cryptocurrency. Lol

That's why you must do / we must do our efforts also in searching about bounty managers. I have my own trusted bounty manager. He always update spreesheet. Always respond if you message him about bounty issue.
Bounty campaigns are not worthless as long as you do your part to research..

An argument that I personally would like to add, that what I have captured from this review is the mistake made by late joining in crypto activity so that when you are active, the merit system is already valid. Actually, I also feel similar to you in crypto activity, where I started having Bitcointalk account in October 2017. But when I am active again in 2018, I see already apply the merit system. For crypto activity, continue to participate in bounty because of all that we will get even though started bit by bit.

This is why I'm not a big fan of the merit system either. Seems overall very pointless and no matter how hard you try, your quality replies don't feel like they matter a whole lot.

It is too early to give up maybe it is hard it for now but the end of the day there is way that you may think that is very useful to help you to overcome the problem that you are facing right now. Maybe the current system of the this site may abolish someday like the merit, yes it is hard to gain merit but if you are passionate and industrious in creating high quality content of post it maybe may garnered some rewards someday although maybe it is hard for now but as time goes by it may not, we must go to the flow in order to survive, so don't mind if it is hard to gain merit mind that you are now part of aspiring people who can be rich because of bitcoin. Having a positive mindset maybe the best way to overcome every problem that we have because nothing is impossible if we are passionate and heart on our job.

I think that the ranking system has now become more challenging for the lower level members. After the initial rewardable merit there are now only a limited number of users that are able to award merit to posts they deem worthy. Unless these people spend all day reading each thread how do they know who is creating merit worthy posts?

everything does require a process, live and enjoy the process.

not just you alone, we here also experience it as you complain about.

no work is futile, someday we will definitely find results.

Always optimistic in every way, GOOD LUCK

don't blame the merit system. the system was created with a specific purpose and intent and certainly for the good of all members on this forum. What's more to the bounty, I think you just haven't got lucky because of a lot of the bounty that is very promising and sometimes there is also a scam or less so successful.

You know what man, we have the same agony. Merits make it hard to rank up. You could see other articles that are not-so-good but they still get merits. Makes me ask myself, "For real? that was just a lame comment and it gets merit -_- ". Maybe merits has something to do with connections in this forum. More connections more merits.

Bounty campaigns are important but don't stop looking for airdrops.  Mostly, airdrops are useless but it's still good to put your eyeballs on the airdrops and put some effort in there just in case you get lucky.  Sometimes I'll binge on airdrops and I've been lucky a few times to make it worth it.

But yeah, it is always good to be active in a bounty campaign.  they are profitable and you are doing it for a good cause if the project is good.

As far as merit... just post and don't worry about it.  Be patient.  Merit can often come from an emotional connection of empathizing with a point of view while also presenting valid facts.  But if you go hunting for merit you'll be disappointed unless you are genuinely providing a useful service such as guides/tutorials.  But yeah... just be patient, be yourself, and connect with people.

It takes me 5 seconds to tell whether a bounty is garbage or not. 98% of all bounties fall in this category. Don't waste your time by joining as many bounties as possible... instead be VERY selective on which ones you join.

I have a feeling your answer might be very obvious but I'm still very curious to know how you tell whether a bounty is garbage or not. Sometimes I can just tell but I feel there should be pointers that tell for a fact that the bounty is garbage.

It is very normal that we feel sometime tiring in doing our role as we join bounty campaign , specially if the campaign has a long period of time. What can i suggest when we feel tired is we just have to think a again our main reason or goal why we join bounty campaign at first.

Bounty companies are really very tiring, recently they get a penny for them, there is no time for other crypto projects. (investment). Now I think in general to stop taking part in bounty companies.

Many counterfeit projects open up a regular campaign on this forum so they often do not update the weekend's stock for bounty hunters, nor do they pay tokens for hard-working hunters to help their projects. They develop because these are scam projects or failed projects.

I’m not sure it is as tiring as you seem
It’s just frustrating at some point
But as a bounty hunter; there's need to keep head straight and be positive too
Everything will happen right and smoothly

Your problem is you got into crypto for the wrong reason.

Just like the expression "there's no such thing as a free lunch," there's also no such thing as a free bitcoin.

Waaaaay too many people sign up as members on this forum hoping to create money out of thin air, which doesn't even have a physical existence in actual reality.

That's not the way life works, son.

All the time you spent reading about airdrops and bounties, you should have been studying cryptocurrencies: what makes some better than others, to increase your chances of finding the "next big thing" like many of us did.

I bought into NEM for $60 before it was first released, before the term ICO ever came into existence. Months later I sold it for $600, thinking I was a genius. Had I held onto my original stash, at NEM's peak, it would have been worth OVER HALF A MILLION DOLLARS!

There's new coins going to the moon every single week. Meanwhile you're reading some scammer's post about how you can make money for free and you never even see where the actual potential lies.

Because I pity thee fool, I'm giving you one merit. Hopefully you'll take my words into consideration. Sincerely,

Uncle Nutildah.
