I really think that projects that don't pay with their own coin are valuable, but very rare projects tend to pay with ethereum. Because many coins are trash, they will give their own coins.
I always hope that all bounty events will be rewarded with ETH, but this is never possible, because all merchants who issue coins on the market want to make money from the coins they create, not ETH!
I also recommend to be paid in BTC rather than in ETH or the project tokens. Why? If we're receiving the tokens, they will just list it on a DEX and probably it has no volume, if there's no volume then it's not profitable.
All of the efforts you've put in the campaign will pop up like a bubble. Unlike in BTC, you can hold your income received from the campaign and also it's a great assurance and will do your best next time.

Of course, Ethereum is better for bounty hunters because it is already listed in exchanges and have a good potential and price, but when you are doing a bounty campaign, you are supposed to support the ICO project, by receiving the rewards in its tokens, and if it is successful it will be profitable too.
The idea is more for the support of the project when you are paid the ICO token as you said, I also think for token with lower than $1, there are higher chances of getting a better reward than with ethereum.

It's true and of course paying in their tokens let's them have a token circulation in the market and to be able to be listed in CMC, more likely hitting two birds with one stone.
Paying with eth is a far dream so wake up, nobody on right mind will do this considering a lot of spammers and farm accounts.

It will be a whole lot prettier if bounty hunters are paid with ETH because we already know how legit and much potential ETH is. But basically, campaigns are offering their tokens as bounty rewards for bounty hunters rather than paying in ethereum. Still, that's fine because you can always trade your bounty tokens to ethereum once it hits cryptoexchange.

Paying with XRP is obviously not a good idea.

Nobody will accept this rules because they are raising money in the market in terms of ETH only but for them, it is impossible to pay in ETH. Some companies are raising money because of further development of their project but if they share raised money how can they develop what they mentioned in the roadmap.

Payment with eth avoid token price are falling when token hit market for the first time.
But, i think developer of token can manage their distribution of token to avoid the dump, with 1-4 weeks distribution token after token sale.

There are already some bounty campaigns who are using ETH as payment. I've already encountered plenty of it. You can find these kind of bounty mostly at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0

The link which you are giving is the service menu which is for only bitcoin signature campaign, eth is for altcoin announcement section.
Getting paid in Ethereum is surely the best choice for bounty hunters, but I highly doubt if that's the case with the ICO devs and bounty managers. Usually they want to pay their participants in their tokens to support even more the project and spread the word more about it.
I would still like to pay the stake of the project because if bounty hunters do well on the signature campaigns then the project will be successful and the bounty hunters will be more responsible for the project.
Not only etherium but also other top alts as well such as bitcoincash or ripple . all of us bounty hunters will be so much happy and confident because we knew that the salary will be recieving are already listed and have a better value compared to useless tokens that ico produce .
bitcoin is also a better option if they cannot pay in altcoins . much better if they can also implement a new rule on which they will pay weekly instead of paying after the end of ico . in that way , bounty hunters will work positively which can bring good result for the campaign.
