Billy Joe Saunders is a formidable opponent but I doubt if he can stand Canelo Alvarez, we have seen the best of Canelo Alvarez and we can tell that  Billy Joe Saunders cannot keep with Canelo, he is just to good, even Smith one of the best counter puncher and volume puncher admits that he cannot keep up Alvarez, he has answer to everything what's he's bringing, I could not see Billy Joe Saunders to be different from all Canelo's opponent.
Actually we haven't seen the best of Canelo yet, because all of his previous opponents are a mismatch, it's like just a sparring session for him. Callum Smith was touted to be a big test, but it wasn't even close as Smith was just there to survived. So we do hope that Saunders will at least give himself a chance and show that he can stand toe to toe against Canelo, otherwise will be just the same all over again. Fighters just folding against Canelo's body punches.

OK, this is the fight that we all have been waiting for Canelo, another legit challenger in Billy Joe Saunders. BJS is solid in all area, well rounded, technically sound and I think he will give Canelo one hell of a fight here, more competitive obviously against Avni Yildirim. Canelo himself admitted that Saunders will be a difficult fight for him.

But I will still give the edge to Canelo here, probably by decision.
Canelo Alvarez and Billy Joe Saunders will be one hell of a fight but i cannot bet against Canelo Alvarez because of the form he is in. His body shots against Yildirim were nasty and he could not go beyond the third round as he had enough and Canelo Alvarez never got punched in the fight and with the way he is fighting it is going to be one of the best fights this year.
No doubt about that, however, fans would be more happier if he can fight Triple G this year, it's going to be the biggest fight this year if he will allow that. I guess there's no problem with the promoter, it's just up to him if he will open an opportunity to Triple G to fight him.

Based on the betting odds, you can tell it's another easy win by Canelo.

Interesting, after that fight against Yildirim which ain't give anything for the fans, seems that he's just warming up and his opponents just continue recieving his punches,.

But with Saunders, maybe it will be a different story, though Alvarez still expected to win as based from the betting odds Saunders is the underdog.

Saunders @4
Canelo @1.17

Saunders  is undefeated so just like Callum Smith, this fight could go in 12 rounds, and maybe I should just add some bet on the other side like Canelo winning by decision, that if the odds is 2+.

More competitive indeed but i'm with you here, i think Canelo would overcome this hurdle and they are confident that Team Canelo would unify all the belt in this division as they are already looking forward for a fight against Caleb Plant this September  Grin.

Does this division lack the competitive fighters or it is just Canelo who have superior skills above the rest?

I would say that Canelo is far more superior that the rest of the fighters in this division. After Callum Smith (which he defeated already), Caleb Plant, and Billy Joe Saunders are the only two name fighters in this division. Unlike before when they have their own version the Super Six World Boxing Classic years ago, it was pretty stack up division with Andre Ward (eventual winner and champion), Carl Froch, Arthur Abraham, Mikkel Kessler, Glen Johnson,  Jermain Taylor, Andre Dirrell, Allan Green. I think this bunch of super middleweights are the most stack up fighters we have seen in this division in recent years.

This fight got me hyped to be honest. We're going to be able to see who the best is. I expect Billy to really turn it up versus Canelo. In my view, Billy is at his peak as a fighter from 160-168 after Canelo. Him and fury are somewhat the same, in the sense that they fight depending on the stature of their opponents.
This will be a serious bout because Saunders is undefeated although he is a little rusty because he hasn't fight for awhile and with some titles on the line, I think that Saunders will be fighting in his best condition against Alvarez who has defeated Yildirim. Definitely experience will be at play here but in my opinion, the spectacle will depend on how good Saunders is and how determined he is to win that belt. I would place my bet on Alvarez because he is definitely the favorite of this bout but if the Saunders' odds are a little bit attractive, I might go for it.

At least this is a lot better than Alvarez's previous one with Yildirim. My god, that Yildirim fight was a mismatch right from the get-go. It made a lot wonder why it was made in the first place. Canelo had an easier target practice with Yildirim than a punching bag; a punching bag sways back and forth at least.
Exactly, the Yildirim fight is a mismatch at any angle. Yildirim didn't even land one punch against Canelo.

But I think this one with Saunders is still a Canelo fight. Saunders is obviously not as powerful as Canelo. I just hope he could absorb Canelo's solid punches for 12 rounds while making one point after another as this seems to be his only chance of winning. But that is very slim.
This will be better, Saunders is a champion himself, still at his prime at 31 years old. So we should expect a clash of champion and do hope that Saunders will be a good underdog and not just another punching bag for Alvarez him. Winning a round against Canelo will be good enough, but he has a slim chance to win.

I think Canelo Alvarez vs. Billy Joe Sanders are both good players for boxing. Is used to show growth depending on their good performance the next 15 entries are based on the estimated victory of single boxing from the pro rated singles match for today’s dollar inflation from the most reliable sources we can find the guaranteed money made by each boxer for a single fight and the relatively close guess of the purse. In the first bracket the fighters actually make up at the specified time of the fight.

Both of these are great fighter, they have the best skills with then and a good record under their name, but for me Canelo will have a good shot on this one considering his strength and speed in the boxing ring. This might not be an easy fight for Canelo, but at the end of the match he’ll still be consider as a winner.

Nice match and this will be exciting to watch but considering Canelo's skills, Billy Joe needs to end this fight as soon as possible because he can't box with him till the end of the round in the ring. We already know how strong Canelo the longer he stayed in the ring and whoever his opponent is, they need to give him lots of action in the earliest round or they will become a punching bag through the last rounds.

This will be more exciting to watch. Can Canelo win via KO on this one too? This is also good for Canelo as he is still fresh from the ring, that means, it is not difficult for him to have rigid training again.

Probably better than the last fight of Canelo.

Billy Joe Saunders is undefeated as his record stats stated, not so familiar with this fighter but he has in impressive record though I'm not so convince with his KO rate which is only 14 of his 30 fights.

Saunders @4
Canelo @1.17

It may well be a more defining fight than all his previous fights including his two fights against Golovkin, Saunders moves very natural in the ring and he has good ring savvy, but Canelo's conditioning and power will decide the match, if he engaged and he has good reaction to Canelo's attack, then he has a good chance, this is a fight that will fave another step for Canelo's greatness, although he is already the number pound for pound.

I am not too convinced that Billy Joe will be able to put up much of a fight against Canelo. Super middleweight is not his best weight class and it has been three years since his career best win against David Lemieux. After that fight he tested positive for PEDs when he was supposed to fight Andrade. Recently he's just been fighting against inferior competition hoping that the Canelo fight would drop in his lap. I think he has lost his hunger and will just use this fight as an opportunity to cash out. This would have probably been a better fight a few years ago at 160 lbs.

But I believed that he will be motivated to give a shot at Canelo, he is still in his prime and he could give Canelo a bad stylistic match up, so he could pose some problems whether inside or outside. So we would take this fight as some kind of measuring stick against Canelo again.

Saunders for me its not very technical though as others would have claim, he is very awkward that could throw Canelo rhythm.

Saul Alvarez

It seems like Saul Alvarez here is more matured than his opponent. I guess, the high odds here is Alvarez since he is a very aggressive fighter.

Can OP add the poll of which the best boxer fighter choice here in our community? It's more fun to discuss though.

though I'm not so convince with his KO rate which is only 14 of his 30 fights.

Knock Out rate is not a basis for me. Aside from 14 KO, most of his fights are Unanimous Decision which means he always got the best points on most rounds. But even with that, Canelo has the upper hand in this fight.

If the odds provider gives Saunders an @4 odds despite a good and clean record, then this only shows that Canelo has all the edges of why he won't be lost on that match.
